Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

Chapter 902: Chapter 904: A Little Rest Will Do

His indifferent gaze fell upon her face, her ink-black hair like the sea, tied up high into a casual bun, while the hair below the wound hung over her shoulder.

Beitang Yao found himself somewhat distracted, watching her quietly like this, his restless heart truly found a sense of belonging and peace.

Never had he felt like this before, it was truly strange. Beitang Yao chuckled inwardly, what he wanted wasn’t this, it was just that the pet before him was injured, suffering from emotional wounds. As her master, he couldn’t be too heartless, she was human too, she should have her own feelings. However, he only allowed one week.

”...Thank you for your concern, Young Master...” This act of care from the Young Master left Xia Qingqian bewildered, she shook her head lightly.

But as she shook her head, it tugged on the wound, causing her to wince in pain, her head feeling a bit dizzy, like the sensation of car sickness, extremely uncomfortable.

She raised her hand to her forehead, leaning back on the sofa, an expression of pale helplessness, her eyes gently closed.

”What’s wrong?” Beitang Yao, seeing this, stepped forward to support her, anxiously asking.

She waved her hand, weakly curling her lips, softly responding, ”It’s nothing, if I rest for a while, it will be fine...Young Master, if you have things to attend to, please go ahead...” She really didn’t dare to waste his time, not even for a moment, she didn’t want nor dare.

”I’ll have Ye Feng come back to check on you.” Beitang Yao said then picked up his phone, intending to dial Ye Feng’s number, but was stopped by Xia Qingqian reaching out.

”Young Master, no need to trouble Night Wind Housekeeper, I’m really fine, just need to rest a little.” She insisted, her head leaning against the sofa back.

Beitang Yao finally gave up, gently looked at her, feeling increasingly ill at ease, for Qiao Zhenyu, she could recover so quickly, diligently nursing her wound.

Did she and Qiao Zhenyu really love each other so deeply? What was it that made her love Qiao Zhenyu so wholeheartedly...

”...” A moment of silence, Beitang Yao did not speak again, shifting his gaze to the distant floor-to-ceiling window, watching the branches swaying in the wind.

”Young Master, my wound is almost healed, when can I leave?” She gathered the courage to ask Beitang Yao.

For half a month, she tried hard to make herself appear full of spirit, she just wanted to tell everyone that her wound was almost healed.

”If it’s fully healed, what was that just now?” Beitang Yao’s deep voice echoed, somewhat displeased. Was she so eager to leave? So impatient to savor his last breath?

”Young Master, that was an accident.” She gritted her teeth, making excuses. Beitang Yao just realized how infuriating it is when people pretend to be strong.

”It’s a minor accident, before you’re fully well, don’t bring this matter up again.” Say too much, be careful he changes his mind, she wouldn’t even be able to leave.

Actually, he had long regretted agreeing to her ridiculous request, he wanted her to stay another year, there were many reasons, why did he fall for her trap?

”...” Xia Qingqian stopped speaking, dejectedly released Beitang Yao’s hand, and leaned back in the seat.

Beitang Yao seemed to feel that his tone might have been too harsh, he cleared his throat twice, ”If you go over like this, he won’t be reassured seeing you.” He swore, this was the last time he indulged her, after she leaves for a week and comes back, if her heart still carries anyone else, he certainly wouldn’t be kind to her.
