Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

Chapter 913: Chapter 915: Watch Your Attitude

Beitang Yao appeared thoughtful, and after a moment, he said coldly, ”Why? Ha...” He began to laugh, his lips curling into a cool, sinister smile.

Xia Qingqian couldn’t help but shudder, calming down as she realized her tone had been a bit harsh. She quickly explained, ”Young Master, what I mean is, since this week is all my own, could you let me be myself?” She needed no interference from the outside world.

This was a precious week she had earned for a year’s time, so how could she still live under Beitang Yao’s tyranny?

”What? Are you saying you’re not yourself usually?” He was extremely angry. This woman was talking more and more in circles. Was she implying that living under Beitang Yao’s shadow was a kind of torment?

”...” Let him distort the truth however he wanted, after all, his mouth was his own, she couldn’t control it.

Moreover, she still didn’t understand why Beitang Yao had come along. Was he afraid she would run away? That couldn’t be. With Beitang Group’s global influence, no matter where she escaped to, she would be found.

”Nothing to say? In the future, watch your attitude. Don’t fall silent before I finish the conversation. It’s very impolite and disrespectful!” His tone intensified slightly towards the end, especially when he said the word ’respect’.

Xia Qingqian swallowed, feeling a little dizzy and dazed by his cold and detached demeanor, her eyelids constantly twitching.

”...Yes... Young Master...”

Hearing her trembling voice, his heart felt somewhat relieved; at least she was an obedient woman.

He didn’t want to get entangled in trivial matters with Xia Qingqian any longer. This time he had truly forced himself, burying himself in the documents.

Xia Qingqian pondered for a long time, constantly gazing at Beitang Yao’s eerie profile, feeling as though she was immersed in a place without sunlight throughout all four seasons.

”Young Master, what are you going to the United Kingdom for?” She finally voiced her inner confusion.

He better not tell her it was a routine business trip and he needed to visit the subsidiary in the United Kingdom himself?

”Do I have the necessity to explain everything to you clearly?” His gaze remained on the documents without even lifting his head, and his tone of voice was enough to make anyone never dare to ask anything again.

”No, no.” Xia Qingqian felt as though her throat was blocked by a shelled egg.

Indeed, he had a thousand and one reasons to go to the United Kingdom, so why should he explain everything to her? Who did she think she was to him...

Whenever she thought of Brother Zhenyu, heartless and alone in heaven, her heart felt cold, uncomfortable, even piercingly painful.

The plane cut across the sky but could never reach the cloud-edged happiness. Xia Qingqian turned her face to look at the clouds outside, her lips curving into a melancholic smile.

Once, they, small figures, lay on the grass, with their hands behind their heads, looking up at the sky and the differently shaped clouds.

The bright sunlight shone upon them, enveloping them in a thin halo of light, a halo of joy, happiness, and innocence...

The plane fell into silence again, and although Beitang Yao was used to tranquil environments, this particular quiet made him uneasy.

Because Xia Qingqian, that woman, was lost in thoughts of another man, in sorrow.
