One-Eyed Monster

Outside the barrier, the people of the Kangen Family have been exploring this cemetery for some time.

”I am certain this is the barrier of the Soul Guardian!” said Elder Kangen confidently, who was once responsible for the Soul Guardian.

”The people we sent also disappeared in this place, and we can still feel their residual spirit power here,” another elder added.

These elders followed Will Kangen, adhering to his instructions and arriving directly at this cemetery.

The two cemeteries looked very ordinary with no special features. Ultimately, they pinpointed the location because the living dead in this cemetery had vanished.

On the surface, this doesn’t seem like an important matter; the existence of the living dead doesn’t affect anything. However, during this special period, they were still vigilant and, after a round of observation, concluded there was a barrier of the Soul Guardian here.

”Can we break open this barrier?” asked Igor, who was deeply concerned about the matter, as everyone here was determined to see the unseen enemy and protect this land.

”The Soul Guardian’s barrier is a set of spellcraft formations, which are very difficult to break through, and the crucial part in this is the Witch Spirit. Without the Witch Spirit’s assistance, this barrier can’t manifest so invisibly and imperceptibly.”

”Witch Spirit?” Kadi furrowed his brow from the side, seemingly having heard this term somewhere before.

”Yes, without the Witch Spirit’s assistance, we can at least see the edge of the barrier, and seeing this edge gives us a chance to break it. Right now, we haven’t made a start.”

As Elder Kangen spoke, a scene from Guru Mountain flashed in Igor’s mind. At that time, he entered a cave that others couldn’t see, only he could. It seemed similar to this barrier, but that was just an embodiment of the World Setting Technique.

Since he thought of the World Setting Technique, Igor wanted to give it a try.

Seeing everyone looking anxious and helpless, Igor indeed wanted to do something.

They couldn’t just wait here forever!

”What we can do now is only observe slowly and wait patiently. Time has become the biggest issue,” said an elder of the Kangen Family.

”This approach really consumes a lot of time!” voiced Patrick, the housekeeper of the Kangen Family, showing a hint of helplessness in his newly donned robe.

Old Cole and Pete Kangen furrowed their brows, hoping their experience could aid their clan members. Unfortunately, they still had no leads, as the Soul Guardian’s team was a secret. Even though they held high positions in the family, it was difficult to influence the Soul Guardian.

The Kangen Family didn’t place hopes on Igor and Kadi because they believed these two outsiders couldn’t possibly know more about the Soul Guardian, thus having no hope in breaking this barrier.

At this moment, Igor connected with Kadi using the Ant Connection Spell, aiming to unleash his spirit power to explore the inner world. Once inside, he saw a transparent sphere with a murky area inside.

Is this the barrier? Igor wondered, unable to see the situation inside the sphere, only guessing. In the inner world, he stepped closer to the sphere, yet whose inner world it was remained unknown. However, Igor felt the strong spirit power sustaining this inner world. Without this spirit power, the sphere couldn’t be so perfectly formed.

Upon contacting the energy, Igor gradually discovered the inner world was simply an energy transformation, with the spirit playing a critical role in this transformation. The sphere before him was definitely the result of many spirits at work, making Igor quite excited.

Surely he’ll find the entrance with a careful search once more.

Ever since Kadi controlled the blue flame, every connection with Kadi using the Ant Connection Spell made Igor feel a powerful force, strangely wanting to break free.

I want to find the entrance to the sphere; I want to see what’s inside the murk!

This was Igor’s decision. He pushed forward, exploring.

When his hand touched the sphere’s surface, a crackling sound was heard, as if something shattered before him.

Upon closer inspection, he noticed a small blue flame on his palm, and where the flame touched the sphere, a crack formed on the smooth surface!

This blue flame must be Kadi’s power, he thought.

Igor hadn’t figured out what was happening when the crack on the sphere suddenly widened. The initial trace abruptly transformed into a spiderweb pattern, which shattered once Igor gently touched it with his hand.

A big hole appeared before Igor’s eyes.

Is this the entrance? Igor cautiously proceeded inside, where his energy in the inner world was controlled merely by his consciousness. This skill had become a well-practiced maneuver as Igor mastered the Inner World Spell.

His energy began to explore inside the murk.

Collisions were inevitable; he detected pockets of spirit power and found two opposing forces, with one of them having a strong fiery scent. That scent bore a striking resemblance to the blue flame from Kadi!

Igor gradually realized there was a familiar spirit power inside, suddenly recognizing the energy felt atop Guru Mountain, a scent making him draw a blank for a moment but cautiously retreat.

After all, he found the entrance and knew how to break through the barrier!

Kadi’s flame was the key.

After exiting the inner world, Igor breathed heavily; his appearance caught others’ attention, and everyone gazed at him curiously.

”Kadi, can you still control your flame?” Igor asked, knowing Kadi also sensed what just happened, making explanations unnecessary.

”No problem now, just tell me what to do!” Kadi replied confidently, his palm flame already dancing!

”Good, aim in this direction and blast straight!” Igor pointed at an empty direction.

”Got it!” Kadi made ready to release the flame.

”Wait!” Will Kangen halted their actions, asking, ”What are you doing?”

Will Kangen’s confusion was understandable. Facing such questions, Igor and Kadi exchanged smiles, responding in unison, ”We’re giving the guys inside a bit of trouble!”
