Madame is Pretending to be an Academic Slacker Again!

Chapter 476: Chapter 476: Master Said, Don’t Be Infatuated With the Cheap Brother

Qin Xin shook her head, ”Master, that’s not how it works. You see, I’ll be going back after the New Year, and I’ll be worried if no one takes care of you. If you and that beautiful neighbor could get along, and you had a mistress to look after you, only then could I fully focus on my studies next semester, right?”

The man: ”...”

Mentioning the end of the New Year, Xiangxiang also felt a bit reluctant: Time flies by so fast, the winter break was over in a blink.

Qin Xin seized the chance to continue persuading, ”Master, you should consider it. I know you don’t like someone simple like Ah Hua, but a fashionable girl like Miss Lu Lu is actually quite nice, and she also knows how to take care of people...”

The man suddenly interrupted her coldly, ”If you’re talking about taking care of people, you should first learn how to do that yourself.”

Xiangxiang was so scared she didn’t dare make a sound.

Qin Xin: ”...”

Why couldn’t she understand what he meant?

She should learn to take care of someone, but who?

With her basic culinary skills, who could she take care of?

Qin Xin mulled it over and directed her gaze at the man behind the curtain, ”Master, are you saying I should learn to take care of you?”

The man’s face darkened a bit more, ”Take care of yourself! You’re so skinny and pale, how have you been living at school?”

Xiangxiang almost burst into tears listening to this.

Actually, Miss was quite chubby and fair at school, but who knows why she changed when she came back to the countryside.

Qin Xin touched her own face.

Uh, sorry, went a bit overboard with the ugly makeup today, used a bit too much mustard yellow.

She chuckled, ”Hmm, at school... Maybe my less-favored brother doesn’t like me and doesn’t care about me. I had to work to earn tuition and focus on my studies, so of course, my face turned waxy yellow. That’s why I come back here to Master to eat and drink and get back my fair complexion.”

As soon as she finished speaking.

The courtyard fell into silence.

After a while, Xiangxiang said softly, ”Miss, Young Master Jue doesn’t ignore you. Although he seldom sees you, he still cares about you. Last time when you had a car accident and lost too much blood, it was he who painstakingly prepared something for you...”

Xiangxiang was trying hard to defend Nalan Ye Jue.

Suddenly.

The man behind the curtain coldly interrupted her, turned to Qin Xin, and said, ”As long as you know your brother dislikes you. In the future, stay away from him, don’t get infatuated with him, and don’t get involved with him anymore.”

Qin Xin nodded, ”I think the same.”

Xiangxiang was caught in the middle, feeling very awkward.

She wanted to keep defending Nalan Ye Jue, but it seemed that neither of the two in front had any good feelings towards Young Master Jue.

Sigh, the Young Master actually has it quite tough too.

But no matter what, Master Tu is right, if the Young Master doesn’t like Miss approaching him, then staying away is for her best protection.

If Miss could completely forget about the Young Master and live her own life, that would indeed be a good ending.

After all, the Young Master is already engaged.

The new wife wouldn’t tolerate the presence of a sister who is infatuated with her brother.

Xiangxiang watched Qin Xin’s carefree, oblivious back and felt increasingly sorry for her.

==

Ever since she inadvertently discussed her attitude towards that less-favored brother with Master Tuantuan, Qin Xin found herself appreciating Master Tuantuan a bit more.

Indeed, for people who dislike you, just stay away.

Gladly, Master didn’t act like ordinary people who, when seeing family conflicts, endlessly preach forgiveness, understanding, blood thicker than water, as if they must force feuding relatives together.

Isn’t it better to live our own lives gracefully?

Out of sight, out of mind, isn’t that delightful?

New Year’s Eve.

Xiangxiang’s hand had finally healed, allowing her to cook.

She cooked ten main dishes in one go.

Plus seven or eight side dishes.

Seeing this made Qin Xin’s mouth water.

She dug out the peach blossom liquor from the courtyard, her eyes smiling, ”Master, tonight we’ll drink to our heart’s content!”
