Madame is Pretending to be an Academic Slacker Again!

Chapter 452: Chapter 452: Shocking! Someone Blocking the Secret Passage Exit!

Qin Xin asked, ”Where in the Empire was Matthew created?”

Sara shook her head, ”I don’t know. I only heard it was many years ago. My father’s half-brother was a scientist in your Empire. He conducted robotic experiments, but later went mad. Matthew was a semi-finished product from one of those experiments. My father provided raw materials to my crazy uncle, who returned the person, but I’m not sure if my uncle made him. Now that he’s also mad, there’s probably no way to find out. Anyway, the researchers in Australia can only repair, not produce. But if they catch you, I’m worried they will restart the research...”

A mad scientist from the Empire many years ago?

Qin Xin recalled the secrets Nalan Ye Jue had told her.

Ten years ago, the robotic experiments were ordered to be secretly terminated, and all informed scientists signed lifetime confidentiality agreements, never to research again.

But clearly, someone unilaterally broke the agreement.

Everything was confirmed at this moment.

”So, Wolff is just a buyer,” Qin Xin pondered, ”The seller is still deeply hidden...”

From Wolff poisoning her juice and assuming she was a robot just because she casually mentioned the drinking program malfunction, it could be deduced that Wolff wasn’t clear on how robots worked.

Moreover, Wolff was not the one who took away her body.

Otherwise, upon seeing her face, Wolff shouldn’t have reacted as he did earlier.

The hard-found clues became even more confusing.

Perhaps the secret really isn’t in Australia but is hidden in the Empire?

Maybe she should return to the country and probe that mad scientist?

Or go back to Nalan Group to recheck if there were any missed details in the satellite surveillance?

Qin Xin quickly arranged her strategies in her mind.

Sara, however, was very anxious, ”Xihe, let’s go quickly. I’m worried my father has already noticed we’re missing. He’s very suspicious. If he guesses we’ve come to the repair factory, it will be terrible...”

Qin Xin nodded, ”Okay, let’s go.”

This is just a repair factory. There’s no need to waste more time here.

On her phone, the dancer sent feedback saying Zhou Yu had been safely sent out.

So she and Sara left through another hidden door in the factory.

The journey went smoothly.

Until...

They opened the passageway exit.

When starlight spilled through the door, a strong figure stood at the exit, waiting for them!

Qin Xin’s grip on the surgical knife suddenly tightened.

Sara, even more nervous, clung to her arm, pressing tightly against her. Then, glaring at the strong figure opposite, she shouted angrily, ”Matthew, what are you doing? Get out of the way!”

The visitor was none other than Matthew.

He had waited outside the women’s restroom, but Qin Xin never came out.

Gradually, he sensed something amiss.

Rushing in, he found no one inside.

His first reaction was to catch someone in the men’s restroom.

But the men’s restroom was also empty.

Meticulous calculation programs rapidly ran in his mind, and he immediately came up with five or six possible conclusions, stationing guards at each possible exit for Qin Xin’s escape.

He himself guarded this one.

This was the route Sara was most familiar with, and he sincerely hoped Qin Xin wouldn’t escape through it.

Unfortunately, the things you least want to see are often destined to happen.

Sara’s protective stance towards Qin Xin at this moment was an eyesore to Matthew.

”Young lady, you can’t be a traitor; Mr. Wolf won’t let you go,” Matthew said in a deep voice, ”Hand her over to me, and I promise not to tell Mr. Wolf it was you who let her go.”
