I AM the Football Star

But consecutive games with hat-tricks, it’s unprecedented!

From the perspective of status and honor, consecutive games with hat-tricks are even more precious.

It’s like a basketball player scoring 40+ points in four consecutive games compared to scoring 30+ in four games with one scoring 60.

The latter may be harder, but saying it definitely doesn’t sound as good as the former.

Guan Zeyuan, people learned enough about him this game.

What he says is basically never accurate.

So fifteen seconds later.

Lu Yang steadily hit the penalty kick created by Delarre.

Five goals in a single match!

Nine goals in two matches, shaking the football world!

At this moment, besides Guan Zeyuan and the high-ranking officials of French Football, everyone applauded Lu Yang without reservation.

Just like that, Lu Yang’s name appeared on the empty record of consecutive games with hat-tricks but was quickly erased by himself.

It still needs time to wait for the right person.

Lu Yang wasn’t that person because Lu Yang never pursued records, always his own limits.

Perhaps for many, records mean limits.

But for Lu Yang, records can no longer replace limits.

Limits are harder than records.

...

Five to two was the final score of this match.

In the last ten minutes, Lu Yang stormed and scored three goals, helping the team to reverse the score.

After the match, major websites quickly published the latest report.

The titles were consistent.

”Joy or Sorrow? Lu Yang Misses the Consecutive Hat-Trick Record! Chinese Commentator Nearly Dies on the Spot!”

Reporters on the sidelines were the first to interview Lu Yang.

Reporter: ”Lu Yang, your form today was truly outstanding.”

Lu Yang: ”It was okay, honestly my form today wasn’t great.”

Reporter: ”Modest! Why did you take the final penalty kick?”

Lu Yang: ”Why such a question? Am I unworthy? I am indeed the team’s first penalty taker.”

Reporter: ”Not about this, it’s because after scoring that last penalty, you lost your consecutive hat-trick record.”

Lu Yang: ”There’s such a record?”

Reporter: ”Isn’t it a bit regretful?”

Lu Yang: ”Sort of, mainly didn’t know this also counted as a record before.”

Reporter: ”Of course it counts, if given another chance, how would you choose?”

Lu Yang: ”I would score one more goal against Brescia earlier, then I would’ve gotten the record for consecutive games scoring five goals, right? Or it would motivate me to perform even better in the next game.”

The reporter was stunned.

This...such novel thinking.

So, Lu Yang never had such a rare record in his heart?

He actually doesn’t regret it at all.

Reporter: ”Does your recent intense performance relate to the Golden Ball Award? Is this your response to them?”

Lu Yang shook his head: ”I said what I wanted from the beginning. I’ve heard some insiders’ views from the Golden Ball Award, but it’s actually quite funny.”

”The voting for the Golden Ball Award ended on the eighth. Now it’s the fourteenth, yet the Golden Ball Award tells everyone that my performance in this match will be considered, what’s the logic?”

”I don’t need anyone to open backdoors for me, the Golden Ball Award is so confident in their evaluation, why should they modify their list of a hundred people to add me? Why should they wait to see my match before announcing the thirty candidates?”

”It’s unfair to all other players on that list.”

”I don’t need to perform deliberately for the Golden Ball Award, I already said, I won’t attend this year’s Golden Ball Award ceremony. To be precise, I’ve never actively applied to French Football saying I want to join the Golden Ball Award voting.”

”So...I hope French Football and the Golden Ball Award stop exploiting my popularity and traffic. If they continue doing so, I don’t mind using legal means to protect my rights!”

The surrounding reporters were dumbfounded.

Lu Yang, what did he say?

Legal means?

This...

So defiant?

That’s the Golden Ball Award?

Do you still want to win the Golden Ball Award in this life?

Not to mention winning, next time you might not even make their list of a hundred for the World Cup!

They’ll blacklist you worldwide!

Decades later, no matter how influential you were, without awards to back you, fans won’t acknowledge you!

Think carefully, Brother Lu!

But looking at Lu Yang’s confident demeanor and firm expression, reporters knew saying anything was useless.

The toughest man in Italy, this time...is truly going to remain strong to the end.

Poor Golden Ball Award thought Lu Yang would bend to their rules, hoping for Lu Yang’s favor and forgiveness.

And the result?

Lu Yang never intended to forgive the Golden Ball Award.

This...

A relentless struggle?
