I Am Not A Goblin Slayer

Chapter 275: Chapter 208: Part 2

It’s important to know that, let alone the special stage of breaking through from Level 2 to Level 3.

Even just recently, when she upgraded from Level 1 to Level 2, it took her a whole week.

That was already a relatively fast result.

As far as she knew, some other Professionals took even longer, carefully preparing for weeks or more.

After all, every level breakthrough represents a leap in the plane of life.

It also means that power, social status, and more will undergo earth-shattering changes.

”Very good, the actions and plans of our team can also be moderately relaxed now,” Gauss said with a smile.

Unless we actively cross into the realm of the Demons, the probability of encountering anything beyond Elite Demons while normally executing commissions is relatively low.

Most are around Level 1-5.

Now, even in the worst-case scenario, he was confident he could cover the retreat and ensure the safe withdrawal of the team.

This means that the exploration scope of their team can be further expanded, even proactively seeking some Elite Demon hunts.

Of course, underlying monsters should not be overlooked.

After all, to accumulate the total number of kills, they still rely on these small monsters to improve.

There are still many tasks to be busy with, hunting Elite Monsters, collecting Elite Points, then upgrading the talent [Crawling Type] from white quality to blue quality.

Then continue to develop Clay Magic.

Collect more categories of spirituality and improve them.

The potential of this magic is far from being exhausted.

Apart from developing Clay Magic, he could also try to see if there are other 2nd-level Spells suitable to supplement his current combat power.

From now on, he could also self-study 2nd-level Spells.

Then accumulate the total monster kills to four thousand, there are still more than ten types of Ordinary Monsters’ illustrations to reach fifty types...

”Hmm.” Aaliyah had no objections.

After upgrading to Level 3, Gauss did not continue to train.

Instead, he joined Aaliyah and the others in wading through the creek to catch fish.

His efficiency was much faster than theirs.

Even without taking it seriously, his already extraordinary basic attributes made it hard for the small fish swiftly swimming in the creek to escape his grasp.

Before long, the fish basket was piled with a thick layer of catch.

Small fish, shrimps, freshwater crabs, and shellfish...

Gauss couldn’t help but recall past memories of fishing in this shallow water, regrettably, at that time, he didn’t have such strength, otherwise, he wouldn’t have returned empty-handed.

When they returned home, Serdur had also returned from collecting herbs in the wild and was applying medicine to Host’s ankle.

Noticing Gauss and the others returning, he looked up, his gaze lingering on Gauss for a moment.

Even though two or three hours had passed, the changes on Gauss’s body still hadn’t dissipated.

The sense of oppression Serdur felt from Gauss was even stronger.

”Captain, have you leveled up?”

”Yes.” Over the afternoon, Gauss had already calmed his emotions.

Level 3 might be an unattainable dream for many Adventurers, but for him, it’s far from the end.

Being happy for a moment is enough, then it’s time to restrain his emotions and look towards the horizon.

”Congratulations.”

The other family members hadn’t realized what had happened, they just smiled in a daze.

Of course, whether at Level 2 or Level 3, to ordinary people, there’s no difference, both shouldn’t be offended casually.

...

In the following two days.

Gauss and his companions did not leave the village.

During this time, some villagers and even people from the neighboring village wanted to visit, trying to establish a relationship with them, hoping he would teach their children, wanting him to take them along as Adventurers.

But Gauss politely declined all of them.

He was back to visit family and rest, not to play the philanthropist.

If any crisis threatened the village, he would certainly act, but teaching individuals with no foundation, he would rather pass.

Such matters would be bothersome without much gain.

He understood that the villagers envied his success and thought they could achieve it as well.

But how many Adventurers actually succeed in advancing to a Profession?

However, during these two days.

He did take care of some important things.

Aside from asking Serdur to heal Host’s leg, restoring his ability to walk swiftly, he also handed over some apprentice-level Skill Books to his family.

Hawke or Meilin, even Host or Rosa, could try to practice a bit in their spare time.

Not to mention professional advancement, it could at least strengthen the body and gain some combat ability.

Some villages could pool enough money to buy apprentice-level Skill Books, but buying didn’t mean one could learn.

Even if mastered, if the skills were not refined, they could not form effective combat power, eventually deteriorating or being forgotten.

Only a few, with available resources as well as talent and effort, could hone skills proficiently and possess decent combat power.

These people often wouldn’t stay content in the village; at this stage, they’d think about heading to towns. While refining their skills, they could earn more commissions than farming, attempting to advance to the Professional level—once there, it would be akin to a carp leaping over the dragon gate.

Gauss encountered a young villager in such a situation while hunting the Goblin Tribe recently.

Returning to his family.

Gauss also suggested bringing them into the city, but Host and the others refused.
