Marvel: All My Incarnations Are S-Class Villainesses

Chapter 192: Chapter 192: Makima, the Expert at Drawing Empty Promises

To be honest, it was completely normal for Banner to harbor such resentment, even to the point of a rampage.

Because if you dig deeper, this matter is actually Sumire’s fault...

In the original movie timeline, after the Hulk fought Abomination in the streets of New York, to escape General Ross’s pursuit, he would exile himself from the United States and go to Kolkata, India.

Hoping to find inner peace through practicing medicine in the slums and mysterious Eastern powers.

He was a free man until Natasha came looking for him, but because of Reze and Perona’s ’little mischief’ back then...

Everything went awry.

The Hulk didn’t manage to escape; instead, he knelt on the ground crying until he transformed back into Banner and was captured by S.H.I.E.L.D..

The ultimate result was that these two, one green and one yellow, became unfortunate... they became brothers in misfortune.

Abomination was forcibly contained by the U.S. Military, while the Hulk fell into S.H.I.E.L.D.’s hands.

If these two knew that the other was in the exact same predicament, they would probably laugh in relief, no matter how much they hated each other.

However, due to Makima’s intervention, Abomination has already escaped the U.S. Military’s Control and become her little dog...

As for the Hulk, Sumire and Makima also hope that he can join the Villainess’s ranks.

After all, this guy is really strong, even if he’s hard to Control.

But now, more than half a year of solitary underground confinement clearly cannot help Banner achieve so-called ’peace’.

This only exacerbated his anxiety and anger, but circumstances are unpredictable, and this half-year of imprisonment, in a way, also produced an unexpected result—

In this cramped, inescapable cage, facing a common predicament, Banner and the Hulk had no choice but to confront each other for extended periods.

This seemed to have led them to some form of ’reconciliation’ in their suffering.

The Hulk smashed his fist against the bulletproof glass, his roar, loud enough to shatter ordinary eardrums, echoing throughout the containment facility.

However, the anticipated scene of Makima screaming in fright, her legs turning to jelly, or even falling to the ground, did not occur.

Behind that layer of reinforced glass, now covered in spiderweb-like cracks.

Makima still maintained her elegant and calm demeanor, not even disturbing her breathing rhythm in the slightest.

Her golden ringed eyes, hidden beneath colored contacts, stared directly into the Hulk’s bloodshot, enraged eyes.

The Hulk’s second raised fist stopped abruptly in mid-air.

The frenzied Beast paused slightly, a human-like look of surprise flashing in his enormous eyes.

He didn’t understand why this seemingly frail human woman showed not even a hint of fear when facing him.

The human and the Beast stared at each other through the shattered glass for a few seconds.

”You... are not a good person.”

Unexpectedly, the Hulk actually retracted his fist and, with his rough, heavily nasal voice, stammered out human words: ”Stay away from Banner, stay away from the Hulk!”

He sniffed hard with his massive nostrils, and his eyes immediately filled with disgust: ”You... smell like that bad woman!”

The term ’bad woman’ is used to describe Makima most of the time, but clearly not here.

Instead, it was used to refer to Reze.

It seemed the Hulk was still holding a grudge over Reze’s act of shifting blame.

Hearing this, Makima raised an eyebrow slightly, lowered her head, and somewhat puzzled, lifted her collar to her nose and sniffed twice.

How could she have such a stench on her?

Reze:?

Sumire also fell into contemplation.

The’smell’ the Hulk spoke of, did it refer to the common demonic aura that Makima and Reze shared...

Or was it the scent they picked up from being frequent guests in Sumire’s bed?

Regardless, although the Hulk’s intelligence wasn’t great, his intuition was as sharp as a Beast’s.

Makima sighed helplessly in her heart.

Compared to Abomination, the Hulk was proving to be much more troublesome.

Especially now that S.H.I.E.L.D. had severely offended Banner, making Makima’s mission much harder than Natasha’s original one.

If it were Abomination, Makima could have secretly released him, then given him a good beating to forcibly Control him, but facing the Hulk...

Sumire truly didn’t dare to resort to force easily.

This green fatty was famously’stronger the angrier he gets.’ If he were truly enraged and caused a mess that even Sumire couldn’t fix, leading to a World War Hulk in this Universe... that would be more trouble than it’s worth.

”Perhaps I can try asking Perona for help?” Sumire pondered. ”Her Negative Ghost completely counters these brainless brutes. As soon as the Hulk kneels down in self-pity, Makima can seize the opportunity and unleash an unresolvable combo of Negativity plus Control!”

After all, Makima’s Control requires the other party to believe they are inferior to Makima, and Makima to believe she is superior to them, and Negative Ghost just so happens to make people feel very negative.

This idea was indeed very tempting but was quickly dismissed by Sumire herself.

The premise for this combo to work was that it had to be in a place with absolutely no outsiders.

This was S.H.I.E.L.D.’s most central underground containment facility, full of surveillance and guards everywhere.

If Perona were exposed here, and S.H.I.E.L.D. realized that Makima and Perona were working together.

Then Makima’s carefully cultivated Agent persona would be completely ruined.

Since force wasn’t an option, only rhetoric remained.

”Hulk, I may indeed not be a good person.”

Makima looked at the green giant behind the glass: ”But I know that you and Banner are both good people.”

The Hulk froze, seemingly not expecting this woman to suddenly praise him.

”Indeed, Director Fury is very afraid of you, and many people outside are also afraid of you, treating you as monsters,” Makima’s voice was gentle, directly shifting the blame to Fury, performing a righteous separation, ”But I am not afraid of you.”

”I know you weren’t causing destruction in Harlem, you were protecting people from Abomination, protecting the neighborhood from that Bomb Girl, weren’t you?”

The Hulk nodded vigorously upon hearing this, a glimmer of pleasant surprise in his eyes; finally, someone understood him.

Makima then took a step forward, which in turn made the Hulk take a step back, unsure of Makima’s intentions: ”Now, S.H.I.E.L.D., or rather, all of humanity, is in trouble, and you have an excellent opportunity.”

”An opportunity to completely change humanity’s perception of you. Perhaps if you help us this once, you can completely escape the fate of being feared by the entire World and caged like monsters. Do you want to become heroes?”

Makima skillfully began to draw a big, round ’pie’ for the Hulk.

This was her area of expertise; in the Chainsaw Man dimension, she had drawn countless ’pies’ for her subordinates.

The Hulk’s grotesque face wrinkled, and his huge eyeballs rolled, seemingly genuinely trying to think.
