Marvel: All My Incarnations Are S-Class Villainesses

Chapter 171: Chapter 171: Makima’s Position as the Main Wife is in Jeopardy!

”Eh? Mi... milk volume?”

The innocent Kotetsu Isane clearly didn’t get the joke. She froze for a moment and instinctively looked toward the kitchen. ”If My Lord wants to drink milk, shall I heat a cup for you?”

Sumire: ”...”

Usually, there were only her Incarnations at home, so thinking something in her head was no different from saying it out loud. But now that she had summoned Isane, Sumire’s slip of the tongue had been heard by the person who least should have heard it.

Forget it, this child is too honest; I can’t bear to tease her.

The good news was that a sudden chaotic argument broke out from the direction of the bedroom, breaking the awkwardness.

”Huh? Why you again?! You monopolized Sumire-chan all by yourself for so long the other day!”

This was Reze’s voice.

”Heh, I won that spot fair and square! You guys were all outside, while I was the only one accompanying the lonely old Modie every day! I deserve this!”

”Besides, My Lord Modie hasn’t said anything yet. What are you barking for, you violent woman? Blehh—”

This was Perona’s annoying voice.

Immediately after.

Boom!

The bedroom door was violently blown open.

Two figures, one purple and one pink, rushed into the living room one after the other.

Ever since Makima settled down in the hospital room in Washington, the originally fragile ”Anti-Makima Alliance” at home had instantly collapsed.

Having lost their common enemy, Reze and Perona entered a state of civil war to compete for the ”bedside rights” next to Sumire.

”That spot is mine!”

Reze gritted her teeth and said, ”I’m a hero who just returned after achieving great things! I have priority sleeping rights!”

”So what if you’re a hero?”

Perona rolled her eyes. ”I cleared ’Uncharted 3’ with My Lord Modie! Can you do that?”

The two of them were like two bristling kittens, circling the coffee table in a standoff.

Sumire watched them, completely stunned.

These two Incarnations really didn’t get along.

Sumire now had six Incarnations. Aside from Makima, who had old grudges, no other two were in such a situation.

Kumashi, standing to the side, was trembling with fear. He wanted to break up the fight between the two Incarnations but was afraid that opening his mouth would draw the fire onto himself.

Kotetsu Isane was even more at a loss. As a newcomer with a rather timid personality, she held the fruit platter, wanting to intervene but not daring to speak up. She was sweating profusely in anxiety, her nearly 1.9-meter tall frame looking particularly helpless at this moment.

”U-Um... Miss Reze, Miss Perona... we’re all family...”

Isane spoke up weakly, but her voice was instantly drowned out by their shouting.

Seeing the conflict about to escalate.

”Oh my.”

A soft sigh suddenly rang out in the living room.

It wasn’t loud, but it clearly reached everyone’s ears.

Unohana Retsu, who had been resting her eyes while stroking Sumire, slowly opened them.

Those eyes, which were always smiling, swept over the two in the standoff. Although the curve of her lips was as gentle as water, it made both Reze and Perona shudder simultaneously.

That was the suppression from an A-rank Incarnation.

”Everyone must get along peacefully.”

Unohana Retsu said softly, her fingers gently combing Sumire’s long hair. ”This will disturb My Lord’s rest.”

Everyone must get along peacefully — Unohana Retsu

The two who were just at each other’s throats immediately lost some of their arrogance.

It couldn’t be helped. Although Unohana Retsu was the sixth Incarnation and the most junior in terms of arrival, her age was a terrifying thousand-plus years.

She was a true elder; the others combined probably weren’t even half her age.

Even setting aside strength and just looking at age, the other Incarnations didn’t dare to be rowdy in front of her.

Of course, this was excluding the immortality mechanism of the devils.

The Control Devil might be older, but that didn’t count as Makima’s age.

Because after a devil dies, it returns to Hell and its memories are wiped. In other words, it’s a ”cycle of reincarnations.”

Unohana Retsu was different; she had lived through every minute and second of those thousand-plus years.

This was true seniority!

Seeing the two quiet down, Unohana Retsu nodded with satisfaction.

”Since no one is willing to back down, for the sake of fairness...”

A glint of wisdom flashed in her crescent-moon eyes. ”Tonight, neither of you shall rest with My Lord.”

”This way, it’s better for everyone, isn’t it?”

”After all, you cling to My Lord like children every day. It’s time to let her have some peace and quiet and get some proper rest.”

”Over-exhaustion is a major taboo, especially since My Lord has to maintain the activity of six Incarnations simultaneously every day. It’s a very energy-consuming task.”

Reze and Perona glanced at each other.

Although they were both reluctant, on second thought... as long as the other party didn’t get their way, they could accept it?

It was like a classic prisoner’s dilemma; as long as no one won, it was a draw.

”...Humph, since Sister Hana has said so.”

Reze crossed her arms and turned her head away. ”Then I’ll reluctantly accept it. You got lucky.”

”Tch.” Perona also turned her head away tsundere-style. ”I was just about to play games all night anyway.”

A family crisis was thus resolved into nothingness by Unohana Retsu’s few words.

This time, it was probably Makima’s turn to be nervous.

This ”mother of the nation” demeanor made her position as the main wife waver... More importantly... the current Makima might not necessarily be a match for Unohana Retsu.

Beside her, Kotetsu Isane looked at her Captain, her eyes practically sparkling with admiration.

”As expected of the Captain!”

Isane cheered wildly in her heart. ”Settling a dispute with just a few words, without favoring either side while maintaining family harmony. I really still have a lot to learn!”

Tranquility returned to the living room.

”Phew...” Isane breathed a sigh of relief and was about to clear the fruit platter to wash the dishes.

But just then.

Unohana Retsu suddenly moved.

She didn’t wake the comfortably drowsy Sumire, but instead, with gentle movements—

She picked Sumire up in her arms.

It was a standard princess carry.

Sumire’s petite body fit perfectly in her tall embrace, her cheek even burying itself directly between those two suffocating peaks.

So soft... so fragrant... Sumire smacked her lips, her sleepiness growing stronger.

”C-Captain?”

Isane blinked, looking dazed and cute.

She naively thought the Captain was taking My Lord back to the master bedroom to let her rest alone.

Just as Unohana Retsu had said herself.

However, Isane only guessed the first half right. Unohana Retsu indeed placed Sumire on the bed and then walked out, but... when she reached the door, she stopped and looked at Isane, who hadn’t reacted yet outside.

On that gentle face, a somewhat meaningful smile appeared.

”Isane.”

”My Lord’s body seems to be suffering from accumulated fatigue. Tonight... I need to attend to her all night.”

”This is for the sake of My Lord’s health... You should be able to understand, right?”

After saying that.

Before Isane could react.

Click.

The door closed.

Followed by the sound of it being locked.

Leaving only Kotetsu Isane standing alone in the empty living room, bewildered in the wind.

”Eh? Ehh?!”

With a rag in her hand, Isane’s mouth formed an ”O” shape, her whole body seemingly petrified.

What happened to the promised fairness?

What happened to the agreement that no one could rest with My Lord?

Captain, didn’t you just teach them about restraint?

So you talked all the competitors out of it just so you could have her all to yourself?!

Captain! How could you do this!

The ’Mother of the Nation’ aspect.
