Marvel: All My Incarnations Are S-Class Villainesses

Chapter 189: Chapter 189: Recruiting the Avengers

Coulson followed behind Fury, his face, which usually wore a gentle smile, was now full of solemnity. ”What should we do?”

His words weren’t finished, but the meaning was clear... how were they going to deal with Loki, an enemy full of unknowns and danger?

Hearing this question, Fury stopped in his tracks.

His face, cold and hard like black iron, showed no expression; his complexion was terrifyingly gloomy.

He pursed his lips tightly, falling into a long silence, not answering Coulson directly. However, whether it was Makima nearby, nonchalantly comforting Bronski who had reverted to human form, or Sumire far away on the top floor of Fisk Tower...

Both knew the answer that was about to be revealed—

The Avengers.

...

Russia, Solunski Square, third floor.

Natasha, who basically never took a day off all year, was out on field duty here, investigating a transnational arms smuggling case.

Only now she looked a bit disheveled, being interrogated by three men.

”The famous Black Widow is nothing more than a pretty face.”

”Oh? Do you really think I’m pretty?” Natasha Romanoff, roughly tied back to a chair, was conducting a ”reverse interrogation” on the Russian Army General in front of her with her lazy voice.

What has blinded my eyes QAQ

The so-called reverse interrogation was Natasha using her good looks and natural disadvantage as a woman to make her interrogators lower their guard, satisfying their vanity and desire for conquest, and then unknowingly letting the enemy reveal intelligence to her.

To put it simply, this move is playing the pig to eat the tiger, letting the men’s small heads gradually control their big heads.

A very clever move.

However, just as the old general saw that Natasha was unmoved and was preparing to use torture, a cell phone suddenly rang in the pocket of a lackey standing nearby.

The general and the lackey were both stunned.

No, buddy, we’re in the middle of an interrogation, can you be a bit more serious?

At least put the phone on silent.

But the phone clearly wasn’t theirs; it was Natasha’s seized encrypted phone.

The lackey answered the phone, listened for a bit, and then handed it to the old general.

”It’s for her.”

The old general’s temper flared upon hearing this. He took the phone and started making threats: ”Listen closely...”

But before he could finish, Coulson’s voice rang out from the phone.

”You’re on the third floor of 114 Solunski Square. Less than 13 kilometers from you, an F-22 is on standby.”

”Put the woman on the phone, or you won’t make it out of the lobby before I level the entire street.”

Coulson’s tone was still calm, but the words he spoke were very cold, making the old general’s heart skip a beat.

Holy crap, doxxed!

Makima sat on the sofa, sipping black coffee, staring at Coulson who was saying ”I’ll level the entire street” with a kind face. She thought to herself that this was why she was more interested in S.H.I.E.L.D. than the mob.

With S.H.I.E.L.D.’s doxxing weapon... or rather, intelligence network, wouldn’t Makima’s ”Yama’s Roll Call” be able to kill anyone she wanted in the World?

”Yama’s Roll Call”... (Miss Makima’s fingers look very flexible... hmm...)

Although S.H.I.E.L.D. was often joked about as Hydra-S.H.I.E.L.D., it had to be said that aside from HYDRA, S.H.I.E.L.D. was still very powerful.

In comparison, Fisk’s mob still needed more practice.

Obviously, Coulson wasn’t just making threats; he was stating a fact.

The old general and the lackey looked at each other and honestly handed the phone to Natasha.

Natasha tucked the phone between her shoulder and ear, looking bewildered: ”Are you kidding me, Coulson? I’m working.”

Natasha: What’s the meaning of this?

Coulson’s voice came from the other end: ”Natasha, you need to report back immediately.”

Natasha rolled her eyes, looking at the impatient old general in front of her.

”But I’m in the middle of an interrogation. These idiots have confessed everything.”

The old idiot and the little idiots stared at each other in confusion again.

One of the lackeys, a real genius, blinked his innocent big eyes: ”I... I didn’t confess?”

”This is a Level Seven incident.”

Unlike before, Coulson’s tone was very serious.

Natasha was slightly taken aback.

She knew what ”Level Seven” meant.

”...Wait a moment.”

Natasha said into the phone, then looked up and gave General Luchkov a beautiful smile.

”Sorry, boys, it’s twelve o’clock. Cinderella has to go home.”

The next second, a series of violent noises came from the other end of the phone.

”Bang!”

”Crack!”

”Aaaah—my leg!”

”Crash—”

S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Helicarrier.

Coulson silently moved the speakerphone a bit further away from his ear.

Sitting beside him, Makima held a cup of steaming black coffee.

Her pale green eyes looked quietly at Coulson through the rising steam.

The two of them sat in the quiet office, listening to the dull thuds of punches hitting flesh, the crisp sound of bones breaking, and the heart-wrenching screams of the Russian tough guys on the other end.

An awkward silence stretched for a full ten seconds.

Facing Makima’s slightly raised eyebrow, Coulson could only shrug helplessly at the newly promoted Level Seven Agent.

Makima took a small sip of coffee and returned an elegant, understanding smile.

”Bang!”

With one last dull thud as the general was strangled unconscious with a chain, the background noise on the other end finally went quiet.

Accompanied by slight panting, Natasha picked up her high heels and phone from the floor, walking barefoot in torn black stockings: ”Coulson, there better be a reason that can convince me. What exactly happened?”

”The Base was attacked, and the Tesseract was stolen,” Coulson said quickly while scrolling through his tablet. ”The Director has officially initiated that plan. We need personnel, we need the Avengers, and we need to split up.”

”Let me guess,” Natasha snorted on the other end, her tone carrying undisguised disdain.

”Are you planning to send me to babysit Tony Stark again?”

”No, I’ll handle Stark personally,” Coulson replied seriously.

”Oh? Then who am I responsible for?”

Natasha raised an eyebrow and asked as she walked out, ”Don’t tell me you’re sending me to coax that grumpy green giant.”

”That won’t be necessary.”

Coulson glanced at Makima beside him.

”Dr. Banner is currently under strict containment by S.H.I.E.L.D. Considering we have an expert with a miraculous track record in handling big guys, Agent Makima will take full charge of Dr. Banner’s psychological counseling and recruitment.”

”Since the tough nuts are being handled, who am I responsible for? Can’t you just send Barton?”

Natasha was a bit puzzled.

A rare smile appeared at the corners of Coulson’s mouth: ”Barton isn’t suited for this mission. You’re responsible for a girl just as dangerous as you. The Director needs you to bring Reze back.”

Upon hearing the name ”Reze,” Natasha, whose eyes were about to narrow into a dead fish stare at the prospect of work, visibly softened. A genuine, happy smile even tugged at the corners of her mouth.

Partly because of Reze, and partly... this job was basically no different from a vacation.

”No problem.”

Natasha, who had been making excuses and had plenty of complaints about the black-hearted Fury, agreed quite readily this time.

”Leave it to me.”

”By the way, give me ten more minutes. I’ll bring some local specialties for the girl.”
