A Warm Marriage After Rebirth

Chapter 420: Chapter 420: She’s Actually Bisexual (8)

As she spoke, she put on a very realistic expression of shock and disbelief. ”But Yvonne Hollis, in this battle for love, you’re destined to be the loser! Even if you and Shelby Fenton are truly in love, you two can’t get married. And if you can’t get married, you have no right to inherit the Fenton Group’s fortune. Forget about skipping ten or twenty years of hard work—you’ll still have to struggle like everyone else! Look at you. Even after sacrificing so much, you’ll end up with nothing. I’d advise you to just give up on Shelby Fenton!”

Genevieve Churchill’s mouth opened and closed as if she were spitting out marbles, dropping one shocking bombshell after another. This was far more stunning than Shelby Fenton walking into the classroom with a bouquet of lilies. No, ”stunning” wasn’t the right word—this was world-shaking! ’Yvonne Hollis is a lesbian? She’s in love with Shelby Fenton? So that’s why no matter what trouble Shelby gets into, Yvonne is always the first one to help her!’

Everyone’s minds were reeling. Thinking back, it seemed that ever since the semester began, Yvonne Hollis had defended Shelby Fenton at every turn. Regardless of whether Shelby was right or wrong, in Yvonne’s eyes, she was always right. Even when she was wrong, she was right! Shelby, in turn, was very considerate of Yvonne and relied on her heavily. And they were roommates! It looked like everything was because Yvonne Hollis had... unconventional feelings for Shelby Fenton.

Thanks to Genevieve Churchill’s insinuation, Yvonne Hollis was now a lesbian in everyone’s eyes.

After sizing up Yvonne Hollis, the crowd’s gaze shifted to Shelby Fenton. ’Is she a lesbian too? No, that can’t be right. She accepts flowers from guys and even goes on dates with them. She can’t be a lesbian! But looking at her relationship with Yvonne... could she be bisexual? Into both guys and girls?’ Instantly, the way everyone looked at the pair changed. ’It’s best to keep your distance from people like that.’

Shelby Fenton and Yvonne Hollis noticed the change in how everyone was looking at them. Yvonne glared fiercely at Genevieve Churchill. ”Don’t you dare get jealous of Shelby’s background and our close relationship and start spreading baseless rumors! Do you really think you can slander her like this? You think everyone else can’t see your wicked intentions?”

Genevieve Churchill nodded, seeming to agree completely with Yvonne Hollis. ”You’re right. Everyone here is smart. After all, you can’t be dumb and get into Aethelgard University! So, you don’t need to explain yourself. Your desire to protect Shelby Fenton... we get it. We totally get it!” Although she said they ’got it,’ her tone was dripping with sarcasm. No matter how one heard it, she was still implying that Yvonne and Shelby were a couple.

”You...” Yvonne Hollis was at a loss for words. In a situation like this, any explanation was useless. No matter what she said, Genevieve Churchill would just twist her words. It felt like the more she tried to clarify, the guiltier she appeared.

”Genevieve Churchill, stop spouting your nonsense! I’m normal, perfectly normal! And for the record, I only like men! I am not a lesbian, and I’m not bisexual!” Shelby Fenton, unable to bear the crowd’s shocked stares any longer, roared in Genevieve Churchill’s direction.

Seraphina Sterling quietly gave a thumbs-up to Genevieve Churchill beside her. ’You’re amazing! Such a silver tongue!’

Genevieve Churchill lifted her chin and raised an eyebrow, her expression seeming to say: ’But of course. Don’t you know who you’re talking to? Now it’s your turn. What are you waiting for? Aren’t you going to help out?’

Seraphina Sterling smiled faintly. ”So you like men. Big deal. Did you really need to shout it that loudly? Just how desperate and man-crazy are you? Don’t you have tons of guys chasing after you? What, all those men aren’t enough to satisfy you? Your appetite must be insatiable! But don’t worry. Now everyone knows how badly you need a man. I’m sure after this class is over, even more guys will come knocking. They’ll certainly do their best to fill your... emptiness!”

The crowd was floored by the rapid-fire reversals. Now *this* was a sharp tongue! A truly venomous one! Compared to her, Genevieve Churchill was just an amateur. Seraphina Sterling’s words were laced with innuendo and suggestive undertones. In the blink of an eye, Shelby Fenton’s image in their minds plummeted from that of a noble heiress to a promiscuous, insatiable woman. They had seen sharp-tongued people before, but never anyone *this* vicious!

”Seraphina Sterling, do you think you can sling mud at me with just a few words?” Shelby Fenton had regained her composure. ”Let me tell you, you’re dreaming! I don’t need you to say it—I’ve known from the very first day we met. You’ve always been jealous of me, trying to compete with me in everything!”

”You saw I only had one day of military training, so you schemed to end yours early. You knew I wanted to join the stock market club, so you pulled strings to get in too. And now you see how popular I am, how many people are pursuing me, how I get flowers every day, while you don’t have a single suitor! It all comes down to this: you’re just jealous! That’s why you’ll stop at nothing to ruin my image! You’re just a pathetic loser that nobody wants!”

Hmm... Now that she put it that way, it did seem to make a certain kind of sense. But... ’Seraphina Sterling, jealous of Shelby Fenton? How likely is that?’ Everyone’s minds started spinning once again.

Seraphina Sterling gave Shelby Fenton a massive eye-roll. ”You’re giving yourself way too much credit. My time is precious; I’m not about to waste it on something as pointless as romance.”

Before anyone could say anything else, the professor walked in and began the lecture. The class was fifty minutes long, but for the vast majority of students, their minds were elsewhere. The drama between Seraphina Sterling and Shelby Fenton was far more interesting than the lesson.

During the break, a staff member came into the classroom. ”Which one of you is Seraphina Sterling?”
