A Warm Marriage After Rebirth

Chapter 418: Chapter 418: This Girl Is Actually Bisexual (6)

Perhaps it was all the praise from her admirers, but Shelby Fenton’s confidence, once shattered by Seraphina Sterling, had fully recovered in less than two weeks.

Less than two months into the school year, Shelby Fenton had become the most popular girl in the entire School of Economics and Management. She was the dream girlfriend of every guy on campus, a goddess in everyone’s eyes. People saved her a seat in class and paid for her shopping. She received countless calls for dates every day, and male students would often confess their feelings to her, clutching bouquets of vibrant roses.

Of course, Shelby Fenton looked down on all of them. As an heiress of the prestigious Fenton Family, she would never get involved with such commoners. Even so, she thoroughly enjoyed being pursued, relishing the feeling of being adored and fought over by the masses. The attention from these male students immensely satisfied her vanity.

At the last second before the first afternoon class began, Shelby Fenton walked in, a new Hermès bag on her arm and a dreamy bouquet of champagne roses in her hands. This was a general education course—a university-wide elective held in a large lecture hall that could seat three to four hundred people. One could only imagine the shock when Shelby Fenton, decked out in designer brands and holding a bouquet, made her entrance.

She was the absolute center of attention, instantly drawing every eye in the room. Being given flowers by an admirer—how romantic! The crowd’s expressions varied from shock and envy to jealousy, resentment, and even indifference. But envy was the most prevalent emotion. Not every girl would meet a guy willing to send her flowers, especially on a college campus, which wasn’t the professional world.

”Shelby, over here!” After her initial shock, Yvonne Hollis deliberately raised her voice and waved at Shelby Fenton, who was still bathing in the spotlight. In that moment, Yvonne got her wish and drew the gazes of the crowd as well. ’Being the center of attention feels amazing! No wonder everyone wants to be a star! All eyes on you—it’s just the coolest!’

After Shelby Fenton took her seat, Yvonne Hollis looked at her, her face filled with envy. ”Shelby, you’re so lucky! Someone sends you flowers every single day! Yesterday, a guy even delivered a bouquet to the front of our dorm. Such a huge bunch of roses—they must have been expensive, right?”

”You’re so provincial. It was only a few hundred bucks!” Shelby Fenton was very pleased that Yvonne Hollis was bringing this up in front of so many of their classmates. The more people who knew, the better. She loved seeing the looks of envy, jealousy, and pure hatred on their faces.

”A few days ago it was blue roses, yesterday red roses, and today lilies. Shelby, you’re just too popular! If this keeps up, our dorm room is going to be overflowing with flowers from all your admirers! It’s true what they say—it’s either feast or famine. Why is it that no one ever pursues me? No one ever sends me flowers?”

Yvonne Hollis sighed, her lament voicing the innermost thoughts of every other girl in the lecture hall. It was hard to say, however, whether her display was genuine or just an act.

”Since you like them so much, you can have them. I don’t know why so many guys pursue me, either. If I could, I’d gladly give half of them to you!”

Shelby Fenton put on a troubled expression, as if this whole situation was a huge burden to her. It was the kind of look that made you want to slap her right across the face. Of course, Shelby was so high-profile at school that nearly everyone on campus knew of her prestigious background. So even though she was being unbelievably infuriating, people could only curse her out in their minds. No one would dare to actually pick a fight with Shelby Fenton. After all, she was an heiress from a powerful family, and they were just ordinary people.

However, not everyone could tolerate a proud peacock like Shelby Fenton.
