I Can Stock Up in the Game

Chapter 87: Chapter 79: The Bamboo Culture Park is Ordinary?

It was all quite incredible.

But that wasn’t important. After returning to the farm, he opened the building and facilities market, found the option for the Firefly Breeding and Cultivation Room, and selected ”Build.”

[Please select a location for the building!]

Seeing the building’s silhouette appear, Zhang Lin immediately moved it around on the game screen in his mind. This building definitely had to be constructed in the core area, so he chose a spot not far from the color-steel-paneled office.

He clicked ”Confirm.”

”Account ending in 62122... expenditure: 1,000,000.00 yuan! Balance: 2,815,463.12 yuan!”

The next moment, a construction warning fence appeared around the location on the game screen.

At the same time, the fireflies he was holding also vanished. It was quite magical.

Naturally, the construction convoy appeared once again. Both in the game and in reality, they began working through the night with a loud CLANG CLANG CLANG.

Seeing this, Zhang Lin went straight home to rest. He was exhausted after running around the countryside all night.

However, the Firefly Breeding and Cultivation Room was built faster than he had imagined. The very next morning, he received a notification that its construction was complete.

This prompted him to head to the farm as soon as he finished breakfast and handled the wholesale business for the game’s fruits. There, he saw the newly completed Firefly Breeding and Cultivation Room.

The exterior wasn’t anything special, looking no different from a typical rural building. However, the ventilation openings were all fitted with extremely fine mesh screens.

The scene inside, however, was something else entirely.

The interior was composed entirely of glass structures. A warm, gentle light filled the space, and the temperature was obviously specially regulated. There were also special plants growing inside, with fireflies resting on them.

Zhang Lin had never seen this type of plant before. He took a picture and searched online but couldn’t find any information. ’It must be beneficial for the fireflies,’ he figured.

’And these fireflies must be the ones I caught last night, right?’

’In other words, they’re supposed to breed now, right?’

It normally takes about one to two weeks for fireflies to mate, lay eggs, and for the eggs to hatch. With the +1 breeding speed buff, the process would probably take only two or three days. Plus, with the +1 growth speed attribute, they could probably start glowing within a few days as well.

’This is practically a cheat. It completely defies the normal life cycle.’

After inspecting the Firefly Breeding and Cultivation Room, Zhang Lin returned to the color-steel-paneled office to prepare the contracts.

He had poached Lin Muxue’s operations team, but their employment contracts hadn’t been signed yet. Naturally, he had to prepare them. It was his first time dealing with such contracts, but it was simple enough—he just had to download a template online.

On relevant legal websites, these templates were created by well-known lawyers in the industry.

He just needed to change the company name, salary, and related terms. The templates even came with instructions upon purchase.

Zhang Lin quickly prepared all the necessary contracts.

Lin Muxue, as the team leader, would have a salary of 35,000. Besides Liu Qian, there were five other team members, with salaries of 20,000 or 15,000 depending on their roles.

The team’s total monthly salary came to 140,000.

This was just the base salary; there would also be bonuses.

Of course, a good online operations team was well worth this amount.

That afternoon, Zhang Lin received a call from Lin Muxue. Her team members had all arrived, so he immediately hopped on his scooter and headed to the office in Jinmao Tower.

Lin Muxue was already there with a few young women, setting up the office.

Zhang Lin noticed they had even saved a spot specifically for him.

The four new women were clearly looking at the entering Zhang Lin with great curiosity.

They had already heard from Lin Muxue and Liu Qian that the farm’s owner was very young and rather handsome, and seeing him in person still piqued their curiosity.

”President Zhang!” Lin Muxue’s form of address for Zhang Lin had changed. She was a perceptive person who kept her personal and professional lives separate. Now that she was officially an employee, she wouldn’t use their senior-junior school relationship to try and get closer to him at work.

Besides, their senior-junior connection was tenuous at best; they were really just alumni.

Therefore, she was now very clear about their superior-subordinate relationship. Besides, proving herself to be a capable subordinate was far more valuable than some flimsy alumni connection.

Zhang Lin, however, wasn’t overthinking it. He just said, ”Senior Sister Lin, I’ve prepared the contracts. Have everyone sign them, and then you’ll all officially be members of the farm.”

Lin Muxue nodded and called the women on her team over to get the contracts. She read her own copy very carefully, as she was responsible for her team members.

Seeing no issues with the contract, she had the others sign their names.

”Senior Sister Lin, welcome to Li Yuan Farm!” Zhang Lin said, taking the signed contracts and offering a formulaic welcome.

Just then, he received another game notification:

[Congratulations, the Bamboo Culture Park has been built!]

Zhang Lin instinctively glanced at the game screen. Sure enough, the construction warnings around the Bamboo Culture Park had been removed, and the construction team was already starting to pull out.

This meant that Li Yuan Farm could finally open up more slots for visitors.

Currently, Li Yuan Farm had restricted ticket sales: 5,000 tickets for the Canola Flower Sea and 5,000 for the Bamboo Maze. However, 2,500 of the Bamboo Maze tickets were restricted to visitors who had already purchased a ticket for the Canola Flower Sea.

In other words, the farm’s actual visitor capacity was only 7,500 people.

That was the maximum capacity. If they forced in more people, the service quality would suffer. It would just be a sea of people, and no matter how beautiful the scenery, all you would see were heads. The aesthetic would be lost, and it could even be destructive to the attractions themselves.
