I Can Stock Up in the Game

Chapter 65: Chapter 64: Zhao Han: This is the real deal

[Special Bamboo Culture Park Construction Scroll: Quality 1]

[Bamboo has its own unique culture, and the craft of making bamboo products has a long and storied history, carrying a special cultural heritage. Finished bamboo products created in the Bamboo Culture Park will possess special attributes: Craftsmanship Appreciation +1, Sense of Cultural Heritage +1, Memento Value +1, Fun of Participation +1!]

[Construction Requirements: 1. 100 mu of land. 2. Construction cost of 5 million!]

[Special Restrictions: 1. Must be built within the farm’s boundaries! 2. Requires 5 traditional bamboo craft inheritors and 50 bamboo craft masters to activate the attribute effects!]

When Zhang Lin saw this information, he immediately understood the purpose of the Bamboo Culture Park.

This was for making tourist souvenirs.

Tourist souvenirs, as the name implies, are exquisite, portable mementos with regional and ethnic characteristics that tourists buy during their travels to remember their trip.

They could be anything from expensive jade ornaments to cheap carved wooden plaques.

Some people say that tourist souvenirs are a scenic area’s business card—one look, and the place comes to mind.

Li Yuan Farm already had a following of one million fans and had to limit visitors to 5,000 per day, but it had barely scratched the surface of tapping into tourist spending, let alone offering any souvenirs.

’I haven’t had time to do anything like that.’

Now, this special Bamboo Culture Park construction scroll could achieve that goal, because the bamboo products made there would have special attributes.

Just the Craftsmanship Appreciation +1 alone could make an ordinary bamboo product extraordinary, giving people a reason to buy it.

Then there was Sense of Cultural Heritage +1 and Memento Value +1. ’Those two are the real game-changers!’

These two attributes seemed to be sensory; they would make people feel a certain way. Bamboo products from here would give people the impression that they had a deep cultural heritage. How amazing is that?

Moreover, if it gave tourists a sense of memento value, they would keep it. As long as they kept it, they would see it often. If the product also had the Li Yuan Farm logo, looking at it day after day would etch the farm into their minds.

’Fun of Participation +1—that’s an attribute perfectly suited for a tourist attraction.’

Semi-finished bamboo products are mostly handmade; it’s impossible to automate the entire process. Only the later stages, like drying and shaping, aren’t done by hand.

Therefore, tourists could actually participate in the pre-finishing stages. They could even make things themselves under the guidance of the bamboo craft masters.

With the Fun of Participation +1 attribute, the process would surely be enjoyable for the tourists. They would have a good time, and their fun might even be contagious, making other visitors eager to try.

Combine that fun with engraving the tourist’s own name on the semi-finished product, and the memento value would be even stronger.

So, once the Bamboo Culture Park was built, he wouldn’t have to worry about selling the bamboo souvenirs produced there. Once it gained a reputation, many tourists would come specifically for it.

After all, for many tourists, a trip feels incomplete without buying a souvenir to go along with their photos.

The key was that You City was known as the ”Hometown of Bamboo.” Making bamboo tourist souvenirs was a perfect fit, highly meaningful, and could even promote You City’s traditional bamboo culture.

As soon as anything is combined with traditional culture, it instantly seems more sophisticated.

That’s why so many tourist attractions try to burnish their image by associating themselves with cultural heritage.

The more Zhang Lin thought about it, the more he felt it had potential.

Just like the Bamboo Maze scroll, this Bamboo Culture Park also had construction requirements and restrictions.

The 100 mu of land was simple. His farm originally had 2,000 mu, much of which was still undeveloped. Plus, the wasteland had already been tilled, so he could just pick any 100-mu plot to build on.

However, while the Bamboo Culture Park wasn’t large, its price tag was 5 million—the same as the Bamboo Maze.

But on second thought, making bamboo products required all sorts of equipment, instruments, and facilities, so it wasn’t that surprising.

But one of the two restrictions made him frown.

It required 5 traditional bamboo craft inheritors and 50 bamboo craft masters!

’This construction scroll doesn’t generate a corresponding employee recruitment list. Does that mean I have to recruit these people in the real world?’

This would be the first project that required him to recruit employees from the real world.

Therefore, to maintain the farm’s secrecy, he had to choose the construction site carefully. The employees also couldn’t pass through the core internal areas when coming to and from work.

However, recruiting these traditional bamboo craft inheritors and masters shouldn’t be too difficult.

Since You City was the Hometown of Bamboo, the younger generation might not be familiar with these crafts, but there were probably many people over 40 from the surrounding towns and villages who knew how to make bamboo products.

It was just that You City had very few jobs in this field, so these people usually just wove bamboo products at home for themselves.

Of course, if it came down to it, he could ask the people at the tourism bureau for help.

This would count as a tourism project that provided local jobs, so the tourism bureau would likely be even more enthusiastic about it than he was.

A tourism project with added cultural value was politically correct. Compared to an ordinary project, it was a bonus. It would also promote You City’s bamboo craft culture, further solidifying its ”Hometown of Bamboo” title.

If the people at the tourism bureau found out about this project, Director Zhao would probably beat his chest and stamp his feet, regretting that he’d placed his bet too early. If he had known, he definitely would have backed this Bamboo Culture Park.

When the time came to hire people, he could pay them a fixed salary or a commission, such as a certain amount of money per item made and sold.

With that in mind, Zhang Lin looked at the map on the holographic screen in his mind, searching for a suitable location within the farm’s current boundaries to build the Bamboo Culture Park.
