I Can Stock Up in the Game

Chapter 71: Chapter 68: Going to Li Yuan Farm to Solve the Maze for Money?

Li Yuan Farm had already been getting a lot of buzz, drawing plenty of attention. Now, with a promotional video for a new project, it caused a sensation in a very short time, and a ton of people saw it.

Xiao Zhenjie saw the video. He admitted that Li Yuan Farm’s Flower Sea was beautiful, but he had no goodwill toward the farm whatsoever.

He was supposed to have a nice, relaxing holiday fishing with his friends. But no, his girlfriend had insisted on dragging him to You City to see the Flower Sea. The 100 yuan for two tickets was one thing, but the round-trip bullet train tickets cost over 300 yuan.

’Isn’t that a total rip-off?’

The worst part was that Tiao Yin was just clueless. It was as if the app didn’t know he disliked Li Yuan Farm, yet it still pushed a video from them onto his feed.

_The Maze Rumored to Be Solvable Only by People of Average Intelligence! 1 Million Yuan Is Yours for the Taking!_

’Look at this. What kind of idiotic clickbait title is that?’

’Isn’t this just copying the promotional tactics of those moronic games on Tiao Yin?’

’You know, the ones that say, ”Don’t be fooled by how easy the first level is; getting past the second level is the limit of human intelligence.”’

’The designers of these games are idiots, and they even treat everyone else like idiots, too. Do they really think so many suckers will be drawn in by ads like this?’

Whenever he saw this kind of promotion, he would immediately signal his disinterest and click to get fewer recommendations for similar videos.

But Tiao Yin seemed determined to treat him like an idiot, pushing this kind of ad on him again. What was the difference between Li Yuan Farm and those games?

”I’ll see what this ’1 million’ is all about,” Xiao Zhenjie muttered, finally clicking on the video.

The title might have been an insult to one’s intelligence, but the words ”1 million” were truly enticing.

As soon as the video started playing, an introduction to a Bamboo Maze appeared. Now he completely understood what the ad was about. Li Yuan Farm was opening a new attraction and was basically giving away money.

Any tourist who made it through the Bamboo Maze would receive a 2,000 yuan reward.

The first person to finish would even get a 200,000 yuan reward.

’200,000? How could something that good be true?’ Xiao Zhenjie felt that 2,000 yuan was plausible, but seeing 200,000 made him feel like Li Yuan Farm was insulting his intelligence again.

’What’s so hard about a bamboo maze?’

Lots of places have attractions like this. A rather blunt friend of his had tried one, beaten it easily, and even posted on his Friends Circle to show off.

So, there was nothing difficult about this kind of attraction.

Now he understood what Li Yuan Farm’s title meant. They were actually telling the truth. You really could beat this kind of maze as long as you had average intelligence. If you couldn’t, your IQ was probably even lower than his blunt friend’s.

But if that was the case, how could they offer 200,000 to the first person to finish? How could something that good be true?

’Wouldn’t that mean whoever goes in first gets the prize?’

’They must have already lined up an insider to claim the 200,000. In reality, they wouldn’t be paying out a single cent.’

It was a common trick.

But when he saw later in the video that it was guaranteed by the You City Tourism Bureau and Agriculture Bureau, he started to feel a little unsettled.

These were two government departments, after all. With them acting as guarantors, it couldn’t possibly be fake. If something like this was exposed as a fraud, those two departments in You City would be utterly disgraced. It would also affect the government’s credibility, which was no small matter.

’In other words, the 200,000 yuan reward for the first tourist to finish is real?’

Xiao Zhenjie immediately opened the comments section. As expected, everyone else thought so too.

”At first, I thought it was fake, but when I saw the two bureaus guaranteeing it, I knew Li Yuan Farm wouldn’t dare to pull a fast one!”

”Yeah, offending two government departments over this small amount of money? It’s not worth it for Li Yuan Farm!”

”...”

Suddenly, Xiao Zhenjie saw a highly-liked comment that he thought made perfect sense!

”Are you guys dumb? How could this be fake? It’s just a measly 1 million yuan. Li Yuan Farm is just spending money to create buzz. Look at the popularity of this video. Think about how many tourists will be attracted by it. They’ll earn way more than 1 million, so why would they fake it?”

He liked that comment, too.

Once he was certain about it, he clicked on Li Yuan Farm’s online booking portal without hesitation. Sure enough, tickets for the Bamboo Maze were available for pre-order. Just like the Flower Sea, a ticket was 50 yuan.

’Since Li Yuan Farm is just giving money away, I have to go make some cash tomorrow. As long as I get there early enough, even if I don’t get the 200,000, I can at least get the 2,000, right?’

His intelligence couldn’t possibly be lower than that blunt friend of his.

At this very moment, many people shared Xiao Zhenjie’s thoughts. They were all planning to head to Li Yuan Farm to make a quick buck. One could only wonder what expressions they would have when they learned the truth.

Meanwhile, at Li Yuan Farm, Zhang Lin announced with a broad smile to Zhao Han and Wei Yuan, ”Director Zhao, Director Wei, all 5,000 tickets for the Bamboo Maze have been booked.”

”So quickly?” Wei Yuan was astonished. After all, it had happened in an incredibly short amount of time.

”This just goes to show how explosive the promotion for the Bamboo Maze has been,” Zhao Han said, equally surprised and finding it hard to believe.

Boss Zhang had actually placed a restriction on booking tickets for the Bamboo Maze. To manage the visitor capacity, half of the 5,000 tickets could only be pre-ordered by tourists who had already purchased tickets for the Flower Sea.

After all, the farm was receiving 5,000 visitors a day, and the long queues for the Flower Sea had already become a source of constant complaints from tourists.

This measure would help keep the visitor capacity at a more manageable level.

Even so, the fact that the tickets had sold out in such a short time just showed how much hype the Bamboo Maze had generated.

Naturally, Wei Yuan was the most pleased by this popularity, because that very evening was the Agriculture Bureau’s official livestream to support farmers. The more hype there was, the better the results would be.
