Global Lords: I Have Information System

Chapter 41: Chapter 41: Mutated Ghoul

Up ahead, it seems a battle is taking place!

Zong Shen squinted his eyes, quickly guessing what was happening with almost complete certainty.

No wonder he felt the left-side dungeon was somewhat strange.

Because the cells in the left-side dungeon, with their broken iron bars, had almost entirely been cleared to the cell doors.

This indicated that someone had already explored these cells.

Zong Shen thought of this and consulted the strategy guide.

”Is there anything worth collecting in this row of cells?”

(There was something about 37 minutes and 42 seconds ago, but unfortunately, you’ve come a step too late. This dungeon does not have only the entrance in the Temple; in the third cell on your right, ahead of you, there’s an escape route leading upward to some building ruins.)

(This is also why it was suggested that you explore the right-side dungeon first.)

”Alas, someone beat me to it. It appears another lord has discovered it too.”

Zong Shen sighed slightly.

But this was an inevitable process.

In an area with so many lords, each would choose to explore and gather once they got over their initial panic.

They would gradually radiate towards the surrounding areas.

Meeting each other was only a matter of time.

It’s just that Zong Shen didn’t expect to find traces of other lords in such a dark dungeon.

It seemed the other party was engaged in fierce combat.

One could guess without thinking that the opponent was battling something like the Blood-Burning Demon Skull, guarding the other remains of Otelan Yu Feng.

However, it’s not easy to handle such an elite monster.

Zong Shen decided to observe and see if he could gain some advantage.

As for acting like a good Samaritan and helping fight the monster, that thought never crossed Zong Shen’s mind.

Theoretically, lords are in a competitive relationship with one another.

If you help, they won’t necessarily appreciate it.

Zong Shen never got involved in such thankless tasks.

Other items didn’t matter as much to him.

Zong Shen cared about the body of Otelan Yu Feng; it was his quest item.

As Zong Shen was contemplating his strategy,

the battle around the corner seemed to have reached a fever pitch.

Zong Shen could hear several loud roars.

”It’s truly a fierce fight.”

He remarked with a sense of wonder.

Previously, when he fought the Blood-Burning Demon Skull, it didn’t seem that intense at all?

But he had forgotten.

Not everyone was like him, having a rather luxurious team of fighters by day two.

...

”Boom!”

At this moment, a loud blast resonated, and the entire dungeon quaked slightly.

A large amount of dust fell from above everyone’s heads.

Coating Zong Shen and leaving him looking dusty.

”Damn it, is this place being demolished?”

He muttered curses while patting the dust off his head.

After the loud blast, everything returned to silence.

No more roars, explosions, or flames, only silence remained.

”Has the battle ended?”

Zong Shen felt a bit puzzled.

Then he instructed Tiezhu,

”Tiezhu, use Shadow Incarnation to sneak over and have a look.”

The Nord Shadow Scout’s skill, Shadow Incarnation, has a cooling time of 5 minutes and a duration of 3 minutes, allowing frequent usage.

Tiezhu nodded in acknowledgement.

In the next moment, he transformed into a shadow and quickly sneaked along one side of the corridor.

He rounded the end directly.

And started his reconnaissance.

About two minutes later.

Tiezhu returned.

”Lord, the battle has ended, and an unknown lord has perished.”

”Additionally, there’s a huge Ghoul, though it’s also gravely injured.”

This lord wasn’t competent enough.

He couldn’t defeat the elite monster.

It seems that not everyone can seize such an opportunity.

”Did you see the remains of soldiers?”

Zong Shen inquired.

The opponent certainly couldn’t have come down alone without soldiers.

Such a startling explosion.

And the intense blaze.

It couldn’t have been caused by a Whiteboard Lord.

Zong Shen was aware of this.

But Tiezhu shook his head.

”Reporting to the Lord, no remains of soldiers were found.”

This left Zong Shen puzzled.

”Did they escape?”

”Let’s go check it out first.”

Zong Shen decided to have a look.

So, he led the main troop to the end of the left-side dungeon.

From there, turning to the left led to a large hall.

This hall resembled a prayer room, filled with remains of broken tables and chairs.

This still wasn’t the end.

There was a heavy, rune-engraved iron door at the other end of the prayer room blocking the way.

In the prayer room, a massive disarmed Ghoul was devouring the corpse of the poor lord.

The belly of the Ghoul bulged, as if something was inside.

Behind this Ghoul was the altar, and Zong Shen had already seen that the quest item he needed was on the altar.

Zong Shen stared intently.

The attributes of this Ghoul, over four meters long with a huge mouth like a basin, appeared before him.

[Mutated Ghoul lv16 (Green)]

[Race: Undead Race]

[Tearing Bite Damage: 58～61]

[Life Value: 268/655]

[Armor Value: 10]

[Skills: Sharp Tongue Stab (The Mutated Ghoul has a tongue similar to a chain, can suddenly extend, piercing targets within ten meters, pulling them to its front) Frenzy lv10 (Increases ghoul’s Attack Speed by 25%, Movement Speed by 25%, Duration: 90s, Cooling Time: 1h) Corpse Eater (Devours corpses to recover Life Value) Devouring (The Ghoul opens its mouth, directly devouring targets no more than lv12, within 2 meters long, with less than 300 Life Value, currently unusable)]

(What are you standing there for, crush it! Avenge the fallen lord)

This Mutated Ghoul had four skills and was in a critical state.

High attack, high health, ordinary defense.

As it gnawed on the corpse of the lord, its Life Value was gradually recovering.

”Go! Kill it!”

Zong Shen waved his hand!

Tasuya began to chant the Double Death Spirit Arrow spontaneously.

The three Wolf Cavalry let out battle roars, initiating their charge.

Tiezhu once again vanished into the shadows.

Even Zong Shen lifted his almost-broken Kite Shield and charged forward.

The Mutated Ghoul gave up its feeding.

Its blood-red eyes locked onto them.

Especially the roaring-charging Wolf Cavalry.

It suddenly opened its enormous mouth wide.

A bright red tongue flashed out like a red flash of light, shooting towards Bjorn.

Meat scraps and blood splattered off of it.

However, the Wolf Cavalry weren’t that easily subdued.

Bjorn reacted swiftly; upon seeing the Mutated Ghoul’s tongue shooting out, he had already raised his War Blade.

Then, as the sharp tongue was about to reach him, the War Blade chopped down directly!

”Rip!”

Like cutting through tough leather, the tip of the Mutated Ghoul’s tongue was severed.

”Roar!”

The Mutated Ghoul retracted its tongue, letting out a furious roar!
