Chapter 39: Chapter 39: Blood-Burning Demon Skull

Sure enough, there’s something to it!

At this moment in the execution room, besides the Skeleton Archers summoned by Tasuya, there was only this guy.

Although both are skeletons, this big one emitting a blue glow was clearly not comparable to those two frail Skeleton Archers.

At this moment, the two Skeleton Archers started to notch arrows and shoot.

”Thwang!”

”Thwang!”

After two loud twangs of the bowstrings, two powerful arrows flew towards that big blue-glow skeleton.

At such a close distance, the arrows quickly struck its body.

[-6]

[-6]

Two pitiful single-digit damage numbers appeared above its head.

”Looks like this guy won’t be easy to deal with.”

Zong Shen raised an eyebrow.

As soon as he spoke, the blue-glow skeleton in the execution room also launched a counterattack.

The large machete in its hand swung horizontally towards the Skeleton Archers.

[-63]

[-63]

Two striking damage numbers appeared.

But that wasn’t all.

When it withdrew the saber, it made two bright red fire trails on the bodies of the Skeleton Archers.

[-50]

[-50]

These two flames began to burn fiercely on the wounds of the Skeleton Archers.

The level 10 Skeleton Archers had 220 health points, now down to only 107 points after this onslaught.

This blue-glow skeleton’s combat power is strong, its slashing damage even surpasses that of the Wolf Cavalry.

”Korby, throw the net!”

”Tasuya, let the Skeleton Archers retreat!”

Zong Shen quickly made the arrangements, even though the Skeleton Archers were initially meant to scout, they couldn’t just be easily wiped out inside the room.

Retreating to the back could still yield some output.

Upon hearing this, Korby hesitated not a bit, grabbing the net from his waist and throwing it over.

In front of the blue-glow skeleton, it expanded, covering it head to foot in its place.

The net was a skill, with a compulsory control effect, and the net could not be destroyed.

Meanwhile, the Skeleton Archers also began to retreat, leaving the execution room.

Zong Shen took this opportunity to focus and check out the attributes of the blue-glow skeleton.

[Blood-Burning Demon Skull lv16 (Green)]

[Race: Undead Race]

[Slashing Damage: 61～64]

[Life Value: 468/480]

[Armor Value: 30]

[Skills: Heavy Slash (Slashing with full body strength, causing 1.5 times slashing damage, 15% chance to cause equipment damage, durability to zero, cooling time 8h), Passive Skill Blood Burning (Attack accompanied by Blood Burning effect, igniting life value, causing 50 points of one-time fixed damage)]

(A withered Blood-Burning Demon, nurtured by countless years of resentment, its bones transformed into an Undead Race Skeleton Warrior, be wary of its large machete, this will be your formidable opponent)

Elite monster, and a very strong elite monster!

These attributes mean a single strike could strip away hundreds of life value in an instant.

If it uses the Heavy Slash Skill, it could seriously injure Zong Shen and Tiezhu, those with less than 200 life value.

At this time, the control duration of Korby’s Net Capture Skill also ended.

The Blood-Burning Demon Skull strode out in big steps, its entire body covered in black light armor.

In the head with demon horns, two ghostly blue flames were flickering.

Those are the sources of the blue glow.

”Avid, Bjorn, take turns using the Net Capture Skill, gain us time to retreat.”

”Everyone try to use ranged attacks.”

”Flank, maneuver, don’t engage directly!”

Having said this, Zong Shen was the first to retreat while drafting a battle plan.

This kind of big monster, thick in blood, high in defense, and hugely damaging, must not be recklessly confronted, or the loss would be severe.

Hearing Zong Shen’s orders, the others also began to retreat, while Avid used the Net Capture Skill to bind it in place for another three seconds.

Meanwhile, Zong Shen, while retreating, along with Tiezhu, grabbed the damaged iron railings scattered outside the cell and placed them in the middle of the corridor.

Intertwining them tightly, using several damaged iron railings, they created a temporary barricade.

Then, the group stopped in place.

Spurred by the powerful adversary,

No extensive command was needed as these soldiers would attack with full force.

The Wolf Cavalry began to throw short spears.

[-8]

[-8]

[-38]

Two short spears landed on the light armor.

Only causing 8 points of damage.

Another hit the unprotected scapula.

Inflicting full damage while piercing the scapula of the Blood-Burning Demon Skull.

Tasuya also chanted Double Death Spirit Arrow.

Two dark Death Spirit Arrows shot out like black lightning.

Striking directly on its chest.

[-75]

[-72]

Two high magic damage numbers flashed above its head.

Due to Tasuya’s magic damage attributes slightly fluctuating, however, the Double Death Spirit Arrow lv10, with 1.5 times magic damage, was incredibly terrifying.

The damage was simply explosive.

However, this move also consumed a massive 40 points of magic, depleting a tenth of Tasuya’s mana instantly.

Meanwhile, the Skeleton Archers diligently continue shooting.

[-6]

[-6]

Zong Shen also took out [Hunting Crossbow].

Utilizing the Guide Module’s reticle.

Accurately firing a shot, hitting the eye socket of the Blood-Burning Demon Skull, extinguishing one ghostly-blue flame within.

[-59]

[-30]

Zong Shen’s basic piercing damage was as high as 51 points, plus the curved crossbow arrow provided 8 points, achieving 59 points of piercing damage.

The additional 30 points of damage seemed related to the extinguished blue flame.

All skeletons seem to have two flames in their sockets.

Just then, the Blood-Burning Demon Skull broke free from the 3-second Immobilize state of the net.

However, in just these three seconds, everyone had already unleashed a wave of massive damage.

At this moment, the Blood-Burning Demon Skull’s life value was only 178 points.

Then, Wolf Cavalry Bjorn also used the Net Capture Skill.

Having just endured a wave of massive damage and barely recovered mobility, the Blood-Burning Demon Skull took only two steps before it was once again ensnared in place by another net.

Control combined with output is downright a foolproof monster-hunting tactic!

If the Blood-Burning Demon Skull possessed wisdom and could speak, it would probably be cursing loudly by now.

Aggrieved! It’s truly aggrieving!

An elite-level monster with such powerful attributes, yet confined to a corner being pummeled.

So far, aside from making an attack on the two cannon-fodder archers in the execution room, it hasn’t even scratched Zong Shen and his crew.

”Tasuya, hold back, save your mana!”

”Lads, fill it up with short spear throws! Aim for spots without armor protection!”

Zong Shen ordered again.

Meanwhile loading the [Hunting Crossbow].

Aimed at the other eye socket.

”Stick it to your dog’s eyes!”

The two Skeleton Archers also continued attacking diligently.

After that, a barrage of dizzying damage values appeared.

[-59]

[-23]

The Blood-Burning Demon Skull’s life value dropped to zero, its skeletal frame collapsing to the ground, transforming into many clusters of rewarding light at its original spot.
