Global Lords: I Have Information System

Chapter 29: Chapter 29: Burial Ground and the Mountain Path

Tiezhu, after his job change, has become noticeably more agile.

Sometimes he climbs up trees along the way to look around, sometimes he lands agilely on the ground, dashing along the shadows.

He’s not much slower than Zong Shen, who is jogging on an old traveling horse.

During this time, Zong Shen didn’t rest either.

He followed the guide module along the way, like a scavenger.

Digging a little to the east, peeking a little to the west.

He actually managed to pick up some things.

The vast majority were various money bags, Copper Plates,

all in all, he collected eight or nine hundred.

With this skill, Zong Shen could easily become rich by collecting money.

In addition, according to the guide’s tips, he excavated two skeletons, unfortunately lacking great value.

They were the skeletons of passing vagrant merchants from not too long ago.

From the skeletons, Zong Shen only obtained some ordinary quality whiteboard weapons.

Better than nothing, I suppose.

And so they walked and stopped along the way.

An hour later, Zong Shen saw Korby resting under a big tree to the north.

At the same time, Korby also noticed Zong Shen.

”Korby, is there anything unusual?”

Zong Shen urged his horse to Korby’s side.

”Lord, everything is normal!”

”Please guide my way.”

Korby saluted and said.

”Let’s go, we’re heading to the northwest, take me to see the ruins of the temple you discovered yesterday.”

Zong Shen’s goal was clear.

According to what Korby said earlier, he had once in the northwest of the territory.

In the dense forest next to the mountain trail, discovered an abandoned temple.

It seemed there were two treasure chests present.

Nothing brings more joy than opening a treasure chest.

”Please follow me, Lord.”

Korby was clearly a competent warrior.

After yesterday’s exploration, he had memorized all the routes.

Leading Zong Shen and Tiezhu directly towards the northwest.

In this position.

Zong Shen could vaguely see, at the end of the vast meadow, a mountain range.

Like a broad line of dark green, dividing the meadow in half.

Continuing to advance northwest.

The grass here grew more luxuriant.

Almost reaching the knees of the old traveling horse.

No one knew what might be hidden in the grass.

But with Korby clearing the way, Zong Shen felt at ease.

Only, the pace slowed significantly.

Especially Tiezhu, without a mount, it’s difficult to trek through such an environment.

His black tight-fitting garment was covered with grass blades.

After advancing for another hour approximately.

The three finally crossed the meadow completely.

Along the way, Zong Shen thought there might be wild animals attacking, but found his concerns unfounded.

Those wild animals seemed to only go frenzy at night.

What Zong Shen didn’t know was.

The wild animals could also sense danger.

Whether Luna or Korby, both were extremely dangerous to those beasts.

They wouldn’t provoke voluntarily.

Of course, this was just part of the reason.

Imagine.

In a forty thousand square kilometers range, suddenly appeared ten thousand ”lords” and thirty thousand foolish farmers. To the wild animals living here, it’s as if a buffet table’s been set with suddenly forty thousand moving meals.

These lords could attract those wild animals over.

This would make them more dispersed.

This disappoints Zong Shen, who wanted to casually slaughter a few beasts for rewards.

What are wild beasts?

They’re living rewards!

They can drop items, and also yield fresh meat and hide materials upon disassembly.

The trio crossed the meadow and entered a slightly barren area.

The soil surface displayed spiderweb-like white markings.

Additionally, there were wisps of mist rising from the ground.

This should have been the confluence zone between forest and meadow.

But it turned into a desolate no man’s land.

The strangest thing was, in this peculiar land.

Amid the undulating terrain, some bare white bones were exposed.

These bones appeared jade-like, having no idea how long they’ve been buried here.

Just like the Elf Race skeleton Zong Shen unearthed earlier, without decay.

”Stop, Tiezhu, Korby!”

Zong Shen waved to halt them.

Start observing the land with concentration.

(The Withered Burial Ground)

(The Blood Burning Legion buried the massacred Elf Race civilians and soldier corpses here, offering them to the Master of Burning Blood, creating a burial ground. Here, the Elf Race War Ancient Trees cannot root)

The golden guide promptly emerged.

Solving Zong Shen’s confusion.

Zong Shen raised an eyebrow.

As someone who enjoys excavation, he instinctively felt this Burial Ground should hold some significance.

”Is there any treasure here?”

(Here lie buried 170,000 Azshara civilians, 57,000 Elf Race City Defense Army, and over 100,000 Alliance Soldiers and Mercenaries, the corpses drenched the land stretching 179 kilometers, arranged by the Blood Burning Legion to block Azshara. A careless excavation might disturb the slumbering undead underground)

(Unless you have a Great Necromancer, it’s advisable not to court trouble here)

Reading the guide, Zong Shen immediately dismissed the idea.

This Burial Ground is surely a land of great calamity.

Should a big monster surface, costing his life, it wouldn’t be worth it.

”Let’s continue, Korby.”

Korby nodded.

Riding a Giant Wolf ahead to lead the way.

Meanwhile, he spoke.

”Lord, this kind of Burial Ground is despised by all creatures.”

Zong Shen remained silent without much comment.

This Burial Ground is lengthy but only about a dozen miles wide.

The three quickly crossed it, spotting a conspicuous mountain path at the forest edge.

The trees in the forest were lush, dark green in color.

Upon entry, the surrounding light rapidly dimmed.

Tiezhu, being a Nord Shadow Scout, became even more at home in the shadow-filled woods.

The roadside equally dense with jungle.

Emerald green vines.

Moss-covered boulders.

Zong Shen also saw many building remnants here.

Such a place truly had a potential for ruins.

Zong Shen followed Korby hacking through the brush.

Progressing along the path for about ten minutes.

Korby halted.

”Lord, it’s here.”

He pointed to an area covered by shrubs and vines beside the path.

Zong Shen glanced inside, seemingly no trace of ruins.

Korby drew his dual blades, pulled aside a shrub, revealing a narrow path barely wide enough for a person.

This was the path he cleared during yesterday’s exploration.

Covered it back upon leaving.

”Lord, please follow me, the ruins are just ahead!”

Korby earnestly said.

Took the lead entering the narrow path, brandishing his war blade left and right.

Clearing away the thorns.

Widening the road for Zong Shen.
