Global Lords: I Have Information System

Chapter 37: Chapter 37: The First Body Part

[Quest: The Obsession of the Demon Hunter]

[Requirement: Explore the dungeon, retrieve the six-part body of Otelan Yu Feng, and bury it beside the Moon Well]

[Reward: Demon Hunter random skill book ×1, Basic Wisdom Book ×1, Basic Charm Book ×1, 1000 Lord Experience Points, 500 Team Experience]

(An ancient dungeon that once imprisoned the Blood-Burning Demon; explore well, and you’ll find unexpected rewards)

It turned out to be an actual quest.

Moreover, it’s a quest recognized by the Lord System.

No doubt it’s a game of the gods.

Zong Shen silently mused to himself.

Other than the ethereal ”gods,” he couldn’t think of any other explanation for all this.

”Let’s move on, the next task is to explore the dungeon and search for the divided body of a Demon Hunter.”

Zong Shen briefly explained the quest requirements.

Because he found that, apart from himself and Tasuya, the Necromancer, none of the other soldiers could see the soul of the Demon Hunter.

Everyone nodded, indicating they understood.

Even the aloof Tasuya nodded cooperatively this time.

It seems this guy is just aloof towards living people, but she resonates with spirits.

With the quest target confirmed, everyone headed down the corridor.

As they walked, Zong Shen became interested in the white candles on the dungeon walls that could light up by themselves.

He turned to take a look.

He thought about whether or not to take a few for lighting the territory.

Directly igniting wood produced too much smoke.

So at night, the territory was pitch dark.

Unless there were blueprints for lighting tools, the territory’s nights could not have stable light sources.

These candles looked pretty good.

Zong Shen, thinking of this, reached out and snapped a candle off the iron candlestick on the wall.

However, he watched as the candle quickly melted in his hand once removed from the candlestick.

It seemed that plan was a no-go.

Then what about the candlestick itself?

Zong Shen tilted his head, pondering whether to have the Wolf Cavalry pry the iron candlesticks off the wall.

(Oh! My god! As a Lord, can’t you stop thinking about exploiting things? Walk out of the passage within a minute, or else you’ll have some trouble)

The strategy’s complaint suddenly popped up.

Zong Shen scratched his nose and gave up on the idea of studying the candlestick.

”Let’s go, let’s keep moving forward!”

Zong Shen waved his hand, after all, as the strategy said, if they didn’t leave the passage within a minute, they’d encounter trouble.

The passage was very long.

Even though there was a candlestick every meter or two on both walls, the end couldn’t be seen.

Who knew where this passage led?

Zong Shen picked up his pace a bit.

After a fast-paced walk.

They finally saw the end of the corridor.

At the end, a peculiar cross was hanging.

However, they were still a step too late.

Several shadows, in a crawling posture, suddenly appeared at the end of the passage.

Their shadows were stretched long by the candlelight.

The next moment, these shadows crawled in from both sides of the end of the passage.

This allowed Zong Shen to see them clearly.

They had no skin on their heads, only bright red muscles.

A big mouth extended almost to the cheeks, with sharp teeth like a crusher’s blade wheel inside.

They moved on all fours, completely naked, with no hair or skin.

Their joints were twisted and deformed, and their arched backs protruded spines with extended bone spikes.

They were very much like hyenas crawling out of hell.

These monsters didn’t act rashly but gradually gathered at the end of the passage.

At the same time, a few more shadows were coming.

They were waiting for reinforcements.

These creatures stared at Zong Shen and his group with evil glares.

”It’s those Undead scum again.”

”These rotten creatures, even my Griss doesn’t want to devour them.”

Wolf Cavalry member Avid suddenly said.

Upon hearing this, Zong Shen squinted his eyes and focused his gaze.

[Ghoul lv10]

[Race: Undead Race]

[Bite Damage: 27~30]

[Life Value: 200]

[Armor Value: 0]

[Skills: Frenzy lv2 (Increases ghoul’s Attack Speed by 5%, Movement Speed by 5%, Duration 60s, Cooling Time 5m) Corpse Eater (devours corpses to recover Life Value), Passive Skill Corrosive Poison lv2 (Attack inflicts 3-point corrosive poison damage per second for 3 seconds)]

(Take down these agile little nuisances)

Zong Shen looked at the other ghouls, their attributes were similar, with no elite monsters among them.

At this point, two more shadows crawled over.

There were now five ghouls.

With Zong Shen’s current force, they could easily strangle them!

”Take down these rotten things!”

Zong Shen pointed his sword forward, issuing the attack command.

The corridor was wide.

Three Wolf Riders charged forward, shouting.

Tiezhu blended into the shadows, stealthily advancing.

Zong Shen turned his head.

Behind him, Tasuya, upon noticing Zong Shen’s gaze, raised her staff that looked like a tree root.

After a brief chanting.

Two Necromancy Arrows shot out!

This was her Double Death Spirit Arrow skill!

Zong Shen nodded with satisfaction.

He raised his sword and walked forward.

In an encounter battle in this environment, the ghouls had no advantage.

Even though they were more agile than the previous Wraiths, they still couldn’t evade the Wolf Cavalry’s interception.

Moreover, they were soft targets without armor.

Tasuya’s Double Death Spirit Arrow alone could take down more than half of these ghouls’ Life Value.

This time, Zong Shen was quite relaxed throughout the fight.

By the time he walked over with his longsword.

The battle was almost completely over...

Such is the plain and simple life of a Lord.

[Your subordinate Wolf Cavalry killed Ghoul lv10, you will gain half of the Experience Value]

[Your subordinate Tiezhu killed Ghoul lv10, you will gain half of the Experience Value]

[Your subordinate Necromancer killed Ghoul lv10, you will gain half of the Experience Value]

...

[Acquired Experience Value (170×½)=85]

...

The five ghouls were quickly eliminated.

The battle was as swift as the wind.

Zong Shen rapidly collected the rewards, without rushing to check them, and moved directly to the end of the corridor.

There were corridors to the left and right, forming a T-intersection.

However, the focus wasn’t this; the focus was that Zong Shen discovered the first piece of the Demon Hunter’s body.

It should be his torso, tied to a cross.

This cross was the one hanging at the intersection.

Very conspicuous.

On the wall behind, there were numerous bizarre runes of unknown meaning, either blood or red paint.

The body of the Demon Hunter was pierced full of spikes, as if subjected to some malicious curse ceremony.

Zong Shen focused his gaze.

Information immediately surfaced.

[Otelan Yu Feng’s Torso]

[Torso desecrated by the Blood-Burning Demon Desecration Ceremony, one of the task items]

Zong Shen stopped looking at it, waved his hand, and stored it in the Storage Grid.
