Global Lords: I Have Information System

Chapter 30: Chapter 30: Stop Looking, This Treasure Chest Is a Trap

Zong Shen tied the old traveling horse to the roadside.

Then, with one hand against the kite shield and the other gripping the sharp German sword.

He walked in the middle of the team.

This was the safest position in the whole team.

Tiezhu drew out the dual daggers from his waist and followed closely behind, responsible for guarding the rear.

The three of them formed a simple exploration formation.

Constantly moving forward.

This small path was extremely difficult to traverse because it was recently opened by Korby.

Underfoot were uneven relic terrains.

Zong Shen, wearing leather shoes, felt extremely uncomfortable on his feet.

After walking for five to six minutes, the terrain suddenly descended.

They found themselves in a small depression in the mountains.

Around this area were either dense forests or moss-covered cliffs.

It could be said it’s a place isolated from the world.

Korby’s ability to find relics in such a godforsaken place is truly impressive.

Even Zong Shen would have had difficulty finding this place just by following system prompts.

The main reason was that Zong Shen lacked a powerful mount.

The old traveling horse was sufficient for daily travel and transport.

But it wasn’t like Korby’s giant wolf or Luna’s black panther, capable of both combat and agile maneuvers.

Just like now, Korby riding the giant wolf, constantly moving and sprinting, making Zong Shen envious.

In contrast, Zong Shen and Tiezhu looked like two children learning to walk.

Struggling through the jungle path.

The joy of cavalry is something infantry can’t experience.

When they arrived at the depression, they finally saw the temple relic Korby mentioned.

Why call it a temple?

Because one could vaguely see statues of gods through the gaps in the vines.

But these statues looked very fierce.

Some had two horns, others had multiple different heads.

There were even some with fleshy wings, stepping on burning traces, resembling demon-like statues.

Zong Shen and the others stood outside the temple.

The temple was completely covered in vines, like a huge green cocoon.

”Korby, clear the path.”

Zong Shen ordered.

Korby, who was hardworking and ruthless with few words, dismounted the giant wolf, grabbed the dual blades, and began to slash at the obstructing vines!

The sharp war blade sliced through the vines like cutting vegetables, chopping them to pieces.

Finally revealing the entrance to the temple.

Zong Shen walked in slowly.

He saw many strange patterns carved on the bluestone floor at the temple entrance.

These patterns depicted a protracted war.

The most striking was a very unique character.

This was a great demon with two horns, wings, and a pair of elongated ears typical of the Elf Race.

On its body were runes unique to the Dark Night Elf Race.

In the stone carving, he sat alone at the edge of the cliff.

Gazing at the moon.

This temple should have a deep connection with this character.

Zong Shen raised his head, focusing on the temple.

(The misunderstood rebel, this was once the temple of demon hunters)

(These were elves who willingly turned into demons to resist the Blood Burning Legion. They were shunned by other forces on the continent, but in truth, they were real demon hunters)

”Demon hunters?”

(Strong demon race warriors, they were initially mighty Dark Night Hunters, willingly falling to become part of the demon race with the aim of hunting demons. Sounds contradictory, right? But they were great warriors)

Upon seeing the explanation in the guide, Zong Shen gained a rough understanding of this temple.

It’s another ancient relic and force belonging to this continent.

At this time, Korby had already cleared a path leading straight into the temple.

Then, Korby suddenly turned back.

”Lord, those two treasure chests are on the right side of the temple.”

”Why don’t you go open the chests first?”

Korby suggested.

Zong Shen patted his head, having been so focused on the temple that he forgot about the treasure chests.

”Let’s go.”

Saying that, he took a few steps back and exited the temple.

Heading to the right.

Sure enough, there were two treasure chests right next to the temple wall.

The vines on the treasure chests had been cleared away.

Zong Shen’s eyes lit up when he saw the chests.

Because these two treasure chests were obviously more advanced than the Black Iron Treasure Chest.

One was ancient copper-colored, the other silver-white.

Zong Shen focused to discern.

System prompts and guide hints appeared simultaneously.

[Ancient Bronze Treasure Chest]

[An unknown ancient bronze treasure chest, no one knows what might be inside]

(The chest is fine, you can safely open it)

[Silver Treasure Chest]

[An unknown silver treasure chest, no one knows what might be inside]

(Don’t be fooled, this silver chest is a trap; the poison gas inside will make you unconscious for three days and nights.)

”Damn!”

Seeing the remark under the silver chest, Zong Shen couldn’t help but curse.

He raised a middle finger to the sky.

This Lord System is truly deceptive!

It’s like Zong Shen sitting at the dining table, ready to enjoy a delicious meal.

But finding out that these foods are all made of crap, which is revolting!

No wonder these two treasure chests were placed so conspicuously.

If someone didn’t have the guide module, they would definitely be tempted to open the silver chest directly.

Then, they would have to spend three days and nights unconscious in this godforsaken forest.

Zong Shen angrily kicked the chest.

Then moved to the ancient bronze chest.

Fortunately, the ancient bronze chest was genuine.

Zong Shen clicked open.

Several reward light clusters appeared.

[Successfully opened the ancient bronze chest]

[Strong Bull Horn Helmet ×1]

[Tier One Spike Barrier Technology Construction Map ×1]

[Wolf Cavalry Recruitment Scroll ×2]

[Two-Stage Slash Skill Book ×1]

[Skill Experience Book ×3]

[Delicious Barbecue Banquet ×1]

[Mellow Green Forest Fruit Wine ×1]

A total of seven rewards, similar in quantity to the Black Iron Treasure Chest output.

But the quality of the rewards was a notch higher.

Especially the two Wolf Cavalry Recruitment Scrolls!

This meant, including Korby, he could have three Wolf Cavalry members.

The strength of the territory would be greatly enhanced!

At night, he could fully organize a hunting team.

Those wild beasts appear astonishing numbers when night falls, as if out of thin air.

Early this morning, Zong Shen discovered dense footprints of wild beasts all around the territory.

Along with bloodstains, but no corpses left behind.

Making Zong Shen suspect that the night beast swarm was a restriction from the Lord System for many lords.

The aim was to limit exploration time and development progress.

But amidst crises lie opportunities.

Night is actually very suitable for ”monster grinding”!

The premise is having enough strength.

Otherwise, even a strong soldier could be overwhelmed by the beasts.

Moreover, there might be powerful beings among the beasts.

These are all risks.

Zong Shen shook his head to bring back his wandering thoughts and began to examine the rewards one by one.
