Celestial Night Emperor

Chapter 96: Chapter 96: The Royal Hotel’s Scheme

What?

Li Xiaohai checked again and again, but finally, he couldn’t hold it in and burst out laughing.

Han Qianqian was also dumbfounded. ”My god, cleaning toilets? Ugh, that’s so disgusting! Stop talking about it!”

Li Xiaohai relaxed completely. ”See? I told you it was impossible. To think Han Biwei is actually cleaning toilets. Tsk, tsk. Such a beauty, dealing with shit and piss all day.”

Han Qianqian frowned. ”Isn’t that a little too cruel? Maybe we should stop messing with her.”

”No! I can’t let this go!”

Li Xiaohai’s expression turned terrifyingly grim. ”Ever since we got engaged, we’ve had bad luck every single time we’ve run into Han Biwei. It’s so fucking cursed. I have to teach that bitch a lesson.”

The Mercedes followed the car ahead all the way to the Royal Hotel.

Qin Tianxuan got out first, his gaze as sharp as lightning as he glanced, seemingly casually, in their direction.

Li Xiaohai was terrified. ”Did that guy spot us?”

Han Qianqian held up a small mirror, touching up her makeup as she laughed. ”No way. You’re just being paranoid because you’ve got a guilty conscience.”

SLAP! Li Xiaohai slapped her right across the face. ”Who are you calling a thief?”

Han Qianqian clutched the red handprint on her face and burst out wailing.

Li Xiaohai had only struck her in a fit of anger. Now, feeling helpless, he tried his best to console her, but Han Qianqian threw a tantrum, scratching his face with her fingernails before throwing open the car door and storming off without a second glance.

Li Xiaohai stared at her retreating back, wiped the blood from his face, and ground his teeth. ”Just you wait until I get my hands on that shipment and money. Your Han Family is going down! Son of a bitch, I’ve been sick of waiting on you lazy, gluttonous sow for a long time!”

Still cursing, he slammed the car door and got out.

He then pulled out his phone and scrolled through his contacts until he found Manager Chen of the Royal Hotel.

’Right, we had dinner together at some business party once. That Manager Chen is a real smooth operator. After all, he works for the prestigious Chen Family, and the Royal Hotel is part of the Chen Group’s chain.’

An idea struck Li Xiaohai, and he dialed the number.

”Old Chen, it’s me, Li Xiaohai!”

”Well, if it isn’t Young Master Li! Long time no see. Are you calling to book a table? The Royal Hotel just launched our new ’Prosperous Fortune Golden Menu,’ featuring all-imported ingredients...”

Li Xiaohai cut him off. ”I’ll throw some business your way later. For now, help me find someone—Han Biwei. She just walked into your hotel.”

Manager Chen replied quickly. ”Found her. Pretty pathetic. A 28,000-yuan party menu for twelve people. Fucking hell, are they trying to eat their money’s worth? Bunch of broke-asses. But, tsk, tsk, she’s a real looker. So, does Young Master Li have something in mind?”

Li Xiaohai chuckled darkly. ”Cut the crap. I want to mess with this Han Biwei, and especially that guy with her. You got any ideas?”

Manager Chen gave a sleazy laugh. ”Young Master Li, did you hear about the amusing incident a few days ago? The Yuan Family’s very own Miss Yuan Jingjing was having a class reunion right here, at the Celestial Dome Sky Restaurant. Some moron trying to act tough ordered over ten bottles of Ace of Spades Rosé—worth over three million. You should have seen his face when the bill came. It was priceless.”

Li Xiaohai understood immediately. ”Fuck, that’s a great setup. Let’s try it on Han Biwei!”

Manager Chen coughed. ”That... might not be such a good idea, would it?”

Li Xiaohai laughed into the phone. ”If this works out, you think I’ll forget about you, my friend? Weren’t you just telling me you had your eye on that Yuan Jingjing? I can help arrange something, you know.”

Manager Chen was, of course, ecstatic. ”Then I have to thank you, Brother Li! Don’t you worry, I’ll get it all arranged right now!”

Li Xiaohai smugly entered the hotel through a back door and took a service elevator to the seventh floor. After meeting with Manager Chen and discussing the details, the trap was set.

Downstairs in the main hall, at a large table sectioned off by low wooden partitions, Qin Tianxuan and Han Biwei were looking over the set menus.

”It’s all been paid for, so just pick whatever you like,” Han Biwei said with a gentle smile.

Qin Tianxuan casually circled Set Menu A, then pulled out his phone. ”Why aren’t these guys here yet?”

In fact, the Personal Guard had arrived long ago, but they didn’t dare take their seats. They were all waiting for their commander’s orders.

Qin Tianxuan sent a text. The Personal Guard, who had been standing in formation in the hotel’s back garden for over half an hour, immediately began adjusting their attire.

”While the Master and Madam are dining, you will stand guard in two-man teams. Shifts will rotate every half hour!”

The Night Emperor’s Personal Guard Captain’s eyes swept over the hotel layout. ”The roof ledge on the right side—set up a sniper’s nest there! Prevent any unforeseen circumstances!”

”Yes, sir!” the Personal Guard members acknowledged in low voices.

”Chen Feiyu, this is your family’s hotel. You take the first watch!”

Chen Feiyu gave a sharp salute. In a flash, he was in position on the roof ledge.

Another member, already disguised as a waiter, appeared near the main hall and began to patrol the area.

Only then did the remaining members enter the hall, looking sharp and full of energy.

Back at the table, Qin Tianxuan was speaking to Han Biwei. ”A car was following us on the way here. I ran the plates—it’s Li Xiaohai’s. The guy just won’t quit. Should I deal with him?”

Han Biwei’s eyes widened, and it took her a moment to process what he’d said. ”Just ignore him. Let’s pretend he doesn’t exist. Brother Tianxuan, you’re not in the Battle Department anymore. You shouldn’t use those kinds of methods. It’s... not right.”

Qin Tianxuan immediately took out his phone and sent a message: ”Cancel Operation Sea Breaker! Abandon target Li Xiaohai for now.”

Having secretly followed Manager Chen to the main hall’s security room, Li Xiaohai was completely unaware that he had just narrowly escaped disaster.

He was holding the menu for the ”Grand Prosperous Fortune Golden Menu” and laughing with glee. ”Serve this 880,000-yuan grand menu to Han Biwei’s table. Then, come back and say it was a mistake. She’ll still have to pay. Let’s see how she gets out of that!”

Manager Chen was also grinning from ear to ear. ”Young Master Li, just you watch. I’ll make sure she ends up on her knees in the middle of the hall, begging!”
