Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Capítulo 1949: Chapter 1949: Don’t Even Think About It

Ruan Tianling hugged her tightly and said, “I also lost my mind. Leukemia is not incurable; it can be cured as long as we find a bone marrow match. At first, I just couldn’t accept it, which made me lose my sanity. I’m sorry, you fell ill, and I didn’t comfort you properly, instead making you comfort me.”

“Actually, when I first found out, I was also irrational. It took me two days to calm down, and you’ve already handled it better than I did.”

Ruan Tianling’s eyes darkened, “Why didn’t you tell me? Why did you carry it alone?”

Jian Yufei’s eyes brimmed with tears, “You were working; I didn’t want to disturb you. Besides, I was afraid you couldn’t accept it.”

Ruan Tianling understood her feelings. He stroked her face and said, “Fortunately, you didn’t choose to leave me.”

Jian Yufei’s heart skipped a beat.

Ruan Tianling kissed the corner of her mouth and said, “If you left me because of this, I would be even more devastated.”

“…Actually, I’ve had thoughts like that before.”

“Don’t even think about it!” Ruan Tianling emphasized loudly, “If you fell ill and I wasn’t by your side, and one day I found out the truth, I would go crazy.”

But if she died, he would still go mad.

Ruan Tianling feared she might have those thoughts again, so he tried hard to say, “Yufei, no matter your condition, I will accept it. I will stay calm, and I will go through the hard times with you. Don’t leave me because you think I can’t handle it, okay?”

Jian Yufei nodded, “Now that I’ve told you, I can’t leave, can I?”

“That’s right, don’t even think about leaving me!”

“Ruan Tianling, what if my illness can’t be cured?” Jian Yufei asked tentatively.

Ruan Tianling’s pupils shrank, “Don’t think about such impossible things in the future. I’ve said it; your illness can definitely be cured! As long as we find a matching bone marrow, it can be cured. There are so many people in the world; even if I have to search one by one, I will find a match for you.”

“I mean if…”

A sudden fierce light flashed in Ruan Tianling’s eyes, “There’s no ‘if’!”

Jian Yufei’s heart trembled; he still couldn’t accept the possibility of her dying…

What to do? She was certain she would die. What would he do then?

“Ruan Tianling, are you scared?” she suddenly asked.

Ruan Tianling paused, then hugged her tightly, pressing her head against his chest, not letting her see his expression.

“I’m not scared; as long as I’m with you, I’m not afraid of anything, so you shouldn’t be scared either.”

“…Okay.”

“Yufei, you will be okay, trust me.” He kissed her forehead and reassured her once more.

“Mm.” Jian Yufei agreed reluctantly.

Because she knew, she couldn’t possibly be okay…

But she would pretend to believe her illness could be cured, she would match Ruan Tianling’s emotions.

She thought, two years would be enough for him to accept the reality.

It had only just begun, and he hadn’t had the time to buffer or adjust, so she couldn’t let him know that her illness was incurable.

Later, when he found out, he wouldn’t be as overwhelmed.

Jian Yufei sincerely hoped that Ruan Tianling could love her a little less, so he could accept the reality more quickly.

In that case, the pain he would experience would be much less.

While Jian Yufei was lost in her own thoughts, Ruan Tianling was also deep in his.

His gaze was dim, heavy, and hollow.

In truth, he couldn’t stay calm at all, nor was he sure if her illness could be cured.

All of his calmness was merely a facade, because he was her pillar of strength, and while anyone else could fall, he couldn’t.
