Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Chapter 1916: Chapter 1916: Half-Matched Is Useless

Nangong Xu is not an ordinary person; Ruan Tianling fighting with him will only lead to mutual destruction.

They have fought hard to achieve the peace they have now. She doesn’t want to drag Ruan Tianling into endless struggles and sacrifices because of her.

If it is destined that she won’t survive, why let him suffer after she’s gone?

Li Mingxi understood her thoughts: “Even if you only tell him you have leukemia, when do you plan to tell him?”

“First, see if it can be cured. If it can be cured, I can tell him anytime. If not, then delay it, let him be happier for a while longer.”

“The fate between you two is really rough,” Li Mingxi said sadly.

Jian Yufei was not too sad. She smiled and said, “It’s my fate that’s rough. He’s always been smooth-sailing; it’s me who has implicated him.”

“He’s willing to be implicated by you.”

Jian Yufei didn’t speak anymore; she remembered something Ruan Tianling had said.

That day she asked him if being with her felt tiring, he said he enjoyed it as sweet.

Even if he had no complaints, she still couldn’t bear to…

…

They soon arrived at Li Mingxi’s hospital. Li Mingxi took her blood and bone marrow and immediately went to conduct tests.

Jian Yufei didn’t wait long before her results came out.

Li Mingxi, holding the test results, said: “From the symptoms, it indeed looks like early-stage leukemia. If you didn’t tell me someone poisoned you, I would have thought it was just leukemia.”

“Can it be cured?” Jian Yufei asked hopefully.

“I don’t know. I must first find matching bone marrow for you, try a bone marrow transplant.”

“The doctor who poisoned me said only my own bone marrow can prolong my life. Even if I find a match, it won’t work.”

“It’s worth a try. How will you know it won’t work unless you try? In the meantime, I’ll help you find bone marrow. Once we find it, you should have the surgery, and by then, you should tell Ruan Tianling about your condition.”

Jian Yufei nodded, “Cousin, don’t tell him or anyone else, okay?”

“I know, the survival of so many in the Ruan Family depends on this. I won’t say anything.”

“Thank you.”

…

Jian Yufei left the hospital and went straight back to the old house.

She took her first step in addressing her illness and felt much better.

In the following days, Li Mingxi helped her search everywhere for a matching bone marrow, and Jian Yufei continued living a normal life.

Her face had mostly healed; she didn’t actually need surgery, just a faint mark that wasn’t noticeable unless closely examined.

But Ruan Tianling insisted on a dermabrasion surgery for her, insisting her face must be flawless.

Li Mingxi was shut in her lab every day doing research; Jian Yufei’s case was very special, and despite numerous experiments, she couldn’t find a cure.

They still hadn’t found any bone marrow, and everything seemed at a standstill.

After 20 days passed, Li Mingxi finally found a partially matched bone marrow for Jian Yufei.

Even though it wasn’t a full match, a partial match was worth trying.

She called Jian Yufei to inform her of the situation and asked her to find a time to undergo surgery.

Jian Yufei said, “Cousin, a partial match is useless. Even a full match doesn’t work, let alone a partial one.”

“How do you know it’s useless if you don’t try? Maybe the person who poisoned you lied, and this might just be ordinary leukemia.”

“I don’t think they’d lie to me.”

“In any case, you have to try it. I’ll arrange a surgery time for you in the next few days, and you come for the surgery.” Li Mingxi insisted.
