Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Capítulo 1947: Chapter 1947: You Were Never Sick

Jian Yufei needs him, he can’t panic.

His reaction was beyond Jian Yufei’s expectation; she thought he wouldn’t be able to accept it.

Seeing him relatively calm, she felt much more at ease.

She originally wanted to say she was fine, but worried that her composure would arouse his suspicion, she had to refrain from mentioning her condition.

“I’m not tired anymore, and not sleepy either, I’m fine now.” Jian Yufei got out of bed to fetch the first-aid kit.

She sat down by the bed, opened the kit, “Take off your clothes, I’ll apply the medicine for you.”

“I’m fine.”

Jian Yufei glanced at him, but Ruan Tianling obediently took off his clothes.

His body was covered with bruises, and Jian Yufei felt very distressed looking at them.

Similarly, she also knew Xiao Lang’s injuries weren’t light either.

“Don’t impulsively fight again next time, I don’t like seeing you fight,” Jian Yufei said with a frown.

Ruan Tianling nodded with a smile, “Okay.”

Jian Yufei took out safflower oil and began to massage his wounds.

Ruan Tianling focused intently on her, as if she was the only person left in his eyes.

After applying the oil to his front, Jian Yufei had him turn around so she could apply it to his back.

Ruan Tianling turned around with his back to her; there weren’t many wounds on his back, the worst were on the front.

“Yufei,” Ruan Tianling suddenly spoke.

“What’s up?”

“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have gone on the business trip, shouldn’t have been away when you needed me the most. You must have been in so much pain these past two days, why didn’t you tell me? Work is important, but not as important as you. If you had told me earlier, I could have rushed back to find the best doctor for you. Then you wouldn’t have been so sad.”

Jian Yufei’s hand abruptly froze—

“You think I’m not sick, do you?” She asked tentatively.

Ruan Tianling replied confidently, “You’re not sick, even if you are, it can be cured. Don’t overthink or worry; I won’t let anything happen to you.”

“Ruan Tianling, I really have leukemia…”

“You don’t!” Ruan Tianling quickly turned his head, denying her words, “If I say you aren’t sick, then you’re not. Do you believe me, or someone else?”

Of course, she should trust the doctor; he’s not a doctor after all.

However, Jian Yufei sensitively noticed something was off with him.

His intense denial of her illness indicated he was avoiding the issue.

Jian Yufei put down the safflower oil, and tried to say, “You don’t need to comfort me; actually, I’ve thought it through over these past two days and accepted it…”

“I’m not comforting you!” Ruan Tianling loudly denied, “I found the best doctor to re-examine you, they’ll have results soon. Then you’ll know if I was comforting you.”

Jian Yufei felt a bit confused.

She was sure she was sick, so why was he so adamant she wasn’t?

Could it be she really wasn’t sick?

While Jian Yufei was still puzzled, Ruan Tianling’s phone rang.

His expression visibly stiffened for a moment, and only after a while did he take out his phone.

“Look, the doctor is calling, the result must be that you’re not sick. Trust me, there’s nothing wrong with your body.”

Ruan Tianling smiled reassuringly at her, then answered the call.

“Hello, how is the situation?” he asked.

Jian Yufei stared at his expression, unsure what the person on the other end said, but Ruan Tianling’s expression suddenly turned very dark, with a flash of hostility in his eyes.

Jian Yufei’s heart instantly sank to the bottom.

She didn’t need to ask to know, the result was the same…
