Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Chapter 1930: Chapter 1930: Find a Chance to Tell Him

Jian Yufei chuckled, ”Didn’t you say it wouldn’t happen once in a thousand years? Besides, my father’s life is uncertain, and I don’t even know where he is. And my mother, I probably won’t have the chance to see her again.”

Li Mingxi sighed, ”Anyway, I’ll find a way to cure your illness, just rest well. If you need anything, just press the bell, there’s a dedicated nurse to take care of you.”

Jian Yufei nodded, ”Okay, thank you, cousin.”

”We’re family, no need to be so polite.”

Li Mingxi finished speaking and then left to rest in the room next door. She hadn’t slept all night and needed to replenish her energy.

After she left, Jian Yufei also closed her eyes and fell asleep.

...

In the following days, Li Mingxi continuously observed her body, conducted research, and performed analysis.

Jian Yufei actively cooperated with the treatment, hoping to recover her strength soon and return home.

Because her bone marrow transplant was unsuccessful, and Li Mingxi’s medical skills were exceptional, no significant harm was done to her body.

A few days of recovery were enough.

But her body was continuously deteriorating, and just two days into the hospital, she started showing signs of fever.

Her temperature reached 38 degrees Celsius, which is one of the early symptoms of leukemia.

However, Jian Yufei was not suffering from leukemia, she was just poisoned, and the toxins that invaded her body resulted in leukemia-like symptoms.

Her condition was too complex, even Li Mingxi couldn’t make much of it; it just looked like leukemia no matter how you saw it.

Jian Yufei had been feverish for a long time, during which Ruan Tianling called her, but she didn’t answer, only letting Li Mingxi text him instead.

This was how they managed to fool Ruan Tianling.

Li Mingxi stayed with her for a whole day, only feeling relieved after her fever subsided.

Sitting by the bed, Li Mingxi said solemnly, ”You’ll have to stick to taking the medication from now on, or your condition will worsen rapidly.”

Jian Yufei was taken aback, ”Didn’t they say I still have two years to live?”

”That’s only maintaining a two-year lifespan with treatment, not living two lively and carefree years.”

Jian Yufei was silent for a moment, ”Cousin, how long can I maintain this healthy appearance?”

”Maybe two months, after that you’ll need to have treatment.”

Jian Yufei nodded, ”Prescribe me the medication, I’ll start taking it.”

”When do you plan to tell Ruan Tianling?”

Jian Yufei bit her lip, she didn’t know, she really didn’t dare to tell him, she was too afraid.

Like a child who made a mistake, lacking the courage to acknowledge it to the parents.

Li Mingxi advised her, ”You’ll have to tell him sooner or later, it’s even more of a blow if you wait until the situation becomes serious before telling him.”

”I know...”

”Do as you see fit, but I suggest you tell him sooner, so you won’t have to undergo treatments secretly.”

Jian Yufei nodded, ”Alright, when I return, I’ll find a chance to tell him.”

”Mm.” Li Mingxi nodded, then told her to continue resting.

Jian Yufei, however, couldn’t fall asleep.

She picked up her phone and sent a text message to Ruan Tianling.

[What are you doing?]

Ruan Tianling immediately called, and Jian Yufei answered.

”Still not asleep?” she asked him.

It was already past ten at night, and they usually went to bed by this time.

Ruan Tianling leaned against the headboard, sullenly saying, ”I can’t sleep, when are you coming back? You’ve been gone for three days, come back tomorrow morning.”

Now he couldn’t bear even waiting an extra hour, let alone an extra day.
