Peerless Divine Doctor

Chapter 2799: Chapter 2800: Nameless’s Origins

Upon hearing this, Ye Luo and Nameless were both shocked.

Originally, they both used the Demonic Lotus to conceal the Demonic Qi. The purpose of the Demonic Lotus was indeed mysterious, yet it was easily seen through by the King of Huainan!

This shows that a strong expert in the Martial Emperor Realm cannot be viewed with the ordinary eyes of a cultivator.

”Since this is the case, why didn’t you kill me on the spot? Why did you appoint me as the commander of twenty thousand elite soldiers? It’s true I’m a nobody, but why do you toy with me like this, for what purpose!” Nameless yelled angrily.

After all, he had already given up; he was prepared to die, so there was nothing he couldn’t say.

The King of Huainan shook his head and chuckled, ”Foolish child, although to me, twenty thousand elite soldiers are nothing much, not just anyone can lead them. Moreover, I didn’t equip you with a High Priest to avoid burdening you, but you? You gave up on the twenty thousand troops so quickly, which disappoints me greatly!”

There was a look of disappointment in his expression, but it didn’t feel like a superior scolding a subordinate; it felt more like a parent admonishing a child for making a mistake!

This left Nameless dumbfounded as well; he couldn’t understand what kind of game the King of Huainan was playing.

”Now you should understand, right? Do you think that identity of yours is fake? I have lived such a long life; who could deceive me? The reason I did this is that you truly are my son!” the King of Huainan suddenly said earnestly.

What?

Ye Luo and Nameless were completely dumbfounded, staring blankly at the King of Huainan.

Are you kidding? Nameless is actually the son of the King of Huainan?

It seemed like the King of Huainan knew they would react this way, and he wasn’t in a hurry. He just quietly waited for the two to come to terms with it.

Before long, Ye Luo snapped out of it. After all, it shocked him, but in the end, it had nothing to do with him—the main party was still Nameless.

Naturally, Nameless hadn’t yet reacted, or even if he had, he wouldn’t know how to face the King of Huainan!

Since the King of Huainan said such a thing, it was obviously very likely true. After all, such a prominent person wouldn’t casually acknowledge an illegitimate son.

”How could I be... your son?” Nameless weakly asked after a long silence.

The King of Huainan sighed, clearly ready to recount some past events.

Anyway, this wasn’t something Ye Luo needed to hear, so he quietly began to head towards the main gates of the hall.

Of course, he wasn’t trying to escape; he was just avoiding it.

”Boy, you don’t need to avoid this; it’s something you should know!” the King of Huainan said immediately, his fox-like mind understanding what Ye Luo was thinking.

But Ye Luo was a bit overwhelmed; what does this have to do with him, the King of Huainan’s illegitimate son!

However, since the King of Huainan insisted, he had no choice but to listen.

Then, the King of Huainan began to tell his youthful story.

The story was full of drama, surprising for Nameless, but not much to Ye Luo. After all, compared to the dramas on Earth, this was nothing special.

Essentially, the King of Huainan had, by chance, fallen in love with a Princess from the Eastern Demon God Temple. Their relationship was deep, but due to their identities, they couldn’t be together. Many years later, the King of Huainan learned that the Princess had been pregnant. He sent people to investigate, discovering that the Princess had given birth to the child, only to be executed by the high-ranking members of the Eastern Demon God Temple!

After all, the Princess consorting with an outsider and having a child was a great disgrace to the clan. At that time, the high-ranking members of the Demon God’s Hall gave the Princess a choice: either the child or she had to die!

Evidently, the Princess chose the latter, employing some means to ensure Nameless survived.

This also explained why the high-ranking members of the Demon God’s Hall didn’t value Nameless. Logically, they should have nurtured such a genius, but Nameless spent his time in prison instead. It was also due to his unique identity that he wasn’t killed by the Royal Family.

”I sent people to the Eastern Demon God Temple many times, trying to bring you out, but all failed. I never expected we would meet as father and son like this!” the King of Huainan sighed.

Ye Luo could feel the sincerity in his words. The feared King of Huainan was, at this moment, nothing more than an ordinary father.

Nameless was somewhat moved by this, but though the King of Huainan was his biological father, they had only met a few times, and Nameless had always considered him an enemy. Naturally, there wasn’t much affection.

However, blood is thicker than water, and Nameless couldn’t bring himself to hate him at this moment.

But Ye Luo thought of something! Since the King of Huainan knew about this, then naturally, the Eastern Demon God Temple knew as well. Given that previous attempts to retrieve Nameless had failed, why did they release him this time?

The Eastern Demon God Temple certainly wouldn’t be so kind to facilitate their father-son reunion!

On the contrary, any Demon God’s Hall would wish for the demise of the King of Huainan. Thus, speaking logically!

”Boy, have you figured it out?” the King of Huainan suddenly smiled at Ye Luo.

However, Ye Luo’s expression changed. As expected, those Demon God Temples were targeting him. But what was he doing at Mount Wudang? Ye Luo didn’t want to be targeted by those Demon God Temples!

Damn it, this was completely an undeserved disaster! Ye Luo was tempted to curse out loud.

At this moment, Nameless also figured it out, ”Since you know this, why did you come yourself? Isn’t this courting death?”

He could have sent a stand-in; there was no need to risk himself like this, completely inconsistent with the King of Huainan’s usual style.

But the King of Huainan laughed heartily, and a sparkle appeared in his eyes!

Today, the King of Huainan was definitely not behaving normally; Ye Luo keenly sensed that perhaps something unforeseen would happen today.

”In my life, I, the King of Huainan, have had 32 concubines, countless women, 15 sons, and an unknown number of illegitimate children, yet throughout my life, I’ve only loved Guodie’er. In my heart, the true heir, the only one, is you!”

Upon hearing this, Ye Luo couldn’t help but sigh; no matter the world, love is an existence that defies logic.

Because of this, the King of Huainan’s feelings for Nameless were naturally different.

Nameless felt deeply touched by this and was no longer as resistant to the King of Huainan.

After all, this was his biological father. Their previous estrangement was not the King of Huainan’s fault!
