Peerless Divine Doctor

Chapter 2776: Chapter 2777: Life-and-Death Arena

As soon as Ye Luo stepped out the door, he noticed Qiong Yao and several other elders waiting anxiously outside.

”What’s the reason for this?” Ye Luo asked, puzzled.

”Sect Leader, didn’t you hear someone insulting you? It must be that eldest disciple of Dihuang Sect!” Xiao Wu said indignantly.

Upon hearing this, Ye Luo burst into laughter, ”Really? Then I must go and see!”

”Sect Leader!”

At this, everyone exclaimed with surprise.

”That’s two thousand elites. If they suddenly challenge you, Sect Leader, it would be best to be cautious!” the Hall Master promptly advised.

If he were surrounded by those two thousand elites, escape would surely be difficult.

Ye Luo gently shook his head, ”If I can’t handle this matter with these two thousand disciples, how could I face the King of Huainan!”

After saying that, Ye Luo’s figure disappeared.

Naturally, the high-ranking members of Wudang weren’t reassured and closely followed Ye Luo’s footsteps.

When Ye Luo reached the back mountain, the eldest disciple of Dihuang Sect was furiously sitting on the ground, with those two thousand disciples in front of him.

”Tell me, did you see anyone yesterday? Why did you just fall asleep?” the eldest disciple sternly asked.

However, all these two thousand disciples hung their heads and wouldn’t say a word.

”Speak up; you are usually the most honest. I know you wouldn’t lie to me!” the eldest disciple said.

”Reporting, eldest brother, yesterday indeed no one was seen. As for why we fell asleep, it just suddenly felt like sleepiness overcame us, making it hard to keep our eyes open, and then we unknowingly fell asleep!” this disciple replied honestly.

”Eldest brother, it’s indeed like that!”

”I experienced the same, eldest brother!”

The other disciples echoed.

The eldest brother frowned in confusion, ”Could it be that this has nothing to do with that kid? Could it be there’s something strange about this back mountain? Perhaps, it’s Fengtian Sect. It’s said the back mountain of Fengtian Sect harbors mysterious things! Could it be!”

Then, he clutched his head, getting lost in thought.

”Haha, everyone gathered so quickly, indeed elites are truly exceptional!” Ye Luo’s figure suddenly appeared from the air, naturally followed by Qiong Yao and the others.

Seeing Ye Luo appear, the eldest disciple immediately rushed up and glared angrily at Ye Luo.

”Is this your doing? I didn’t expect you to be such a despicable person!” the eldest disciple roared immediately.

”Oh? I don’t understand what you mean by your words. First of all, you’re here to cooperate with me. Simply put, you should follow my orders. Of course, in honor of Dihuang Sect, I won’t kill you. With that said, get lost then!” Ye Luo said squinting his eyes.

”Get lost?” The eldest disciple coldly laughed immediately, ”Why should I? Is it that after you’ve meddled, these two thousand disciples are yours? This is simply laughable! Moreover, what qualifies you to lead these two thousand people? I am not convinced. I want to challenge you to a life-and-death arena!”

Hearing this, those around them were instantly astonished.

The life-and-death arena is known as an ancient tradition of the third force, the Demon Realm, very much akin to a duel platform in nature.

However, very few people do this; isn’t it pointless? While the Demon Realm does not restrict fighting, those who do this must have their purposes!

For instance, a clash between two sects’ strong practitioners, aiming to garner more attention, leads to such actions, all for the sake of gaining momentum!

The eldest disciple is the same! Even if the fight resulted in a draw, Ye Luo couldn’t take charge of these two thousand self-defense troops.

Moreover, yesterday he had indeed fought against Ye Luo, feeling capable of defeating him without revealing it to the world, but a draw was no problem!

Internally, he felt that Ye Luo’s actual strength was similar to his own, even if somewhat stronger, yet limited.

It was precisely this judgment that led to his choice.

”Oh? Does your sect know about this? Does your old master know?” Ye Luo laughed coldly.

Instantly, the eldest disciple trembled slightly, clearly revealing that neither his sect nor his old master knew of this matter, which was entirely his own decision.

But then, his gaze became gloomy; if he fought Ye Luo and ended in a draw, it would be a great thing for Dihuang Sect! How could the old master blame him?

”That has nothing to do with you. You just need to tell me whether you are willing or not!” the eldest disciple said proudly.

Ye Luo snorted coldly, ”In essence, our statuses are vastly different. Yet, if you keep provoking me, I shall oblige!”

Generally, the life-and-death arena is suitable for those of comparable status to duel; while this eldest disciple is indeed Dihuang Sect’s eldest disciple, Ye Luo remains the Sect Leader of Wudang. Wudang is a newly established small sect, but Ye Luo’s reputation is well-known within this region, equating him with sect masters of those Great Sects.

”Hmph, words are futile; actions shall reveal the truth!”

After saying this, the eldest disciple walked away with hands behind his back; both still in their youthful vigor, he naturally also had the motive to rise to prominence through Ye Luo. Originally, he was hailed as Dihuang Sect’s first genius. If Dihuang Sect weren’t hidden, he would have been famous throughout the land! Why remain nameless now! Therefore, he wanted to gain fame through Ye Luo; once his reputation soared, the subsequent benefits would be considerable.

Later, news of the life-and-death arena quickly spread within this region, causing joy for some and distress for others.

”Nonsense, this kid won’t rest until he stirs up some trouble?”

The Sect Master of Qiankun Sect angrily remarked. Now, he was too weary to handle Ye Luo’s matters, but the seven thousand Allied Forces were indeed related to him. Therefore, he constantly monitored Ye Luo’s activities.

Originally, Ye Luo’s cooperation with Dihuang Sect surprised him and reassured him somewhat, thinking this crisis was finally averted.

However, before he could rest easy, the life-and-death arena issue surfaced.

”Sect Master, that kid loves to stir things up. Since we can’t restrain him, it’s better to ignore him!” An elder advised.

Upon hearing this, the Sect Master could only sigh.

Those sects bearing grudges against Ye Luo naturally loved this development. They originally resented the cooperation between the two sects, and placing a life-and-death arena could surely create a rift.

Currently, the most awkward situation belongs to Dihuang Sect. Last time, their cooperation with Ye Luo led to a feeling of biting the dust. Now, a life-and-death arena arises again, causing Dihuang Sect’s upper echelons to burst into uproar.
