Peerless Divine Doctor

Chapter 2757: Chapter 2758: Sect Master Han’s Promise

The two had anxious expressions on their faces, clearly not wanting to exchange pleasantries with Ye Luo.

”No need to be polite, both of you. What virtues do I, Ye Luo, possess? Our Wudang Sect has just been established, how can it bear such a heavy responsibility!”

”Sect Leader Ye, there’s no need for modesty. This time we’ve come with you to discuss matters regarding the Allied Forces. The King of Huainan’s invasion must be resisted at all costs. After cultivating for so many years, being exterminated like this is unacceptable. If the King of Huainan wants us dead, we won’t make it easy for him!” Sect Master Han said coldly.

Ye Luo glanced at him, estimating that Sect Master Han’s cultivation was at least above the Fifth Level of the Martial King Realm, undoubtedly an extraordinary master. Such a strong individual, if he insisted on escaping, would be hard to eliminate with the King of Huainan’s army!

Naturally, what he wanted to protect were his sect and clan members.

Compared to him, Sect Leader Wang of the Xiaoyao Sect was much inferior, as the Xiaoyao Sect was only an intermediate sect, and his strength only lay between the second and third levels of the Martial King Realm.

”Sect Leader Ye, although my Xiaoyao Sect is weak, we have a good relationship with other sects and can persuade many sects to join the ranks of the Allied Forces!” Sect Leader Wang spoke up immediately.

At this moment, to survive, one must prove their value.

Ye Luo glanced at Sect Leader Wang again. On Earth, this is what’s called connections, more valuable than his own strength.

”Since we’ve reached this point in the conversation, I won’t refuse. However, the King of Huainan’s army is not to be underestimated. While our Allied Forces seem to consist of elite members from various sects, and their strength surpasses that of ordinary soldiers, in such a chaotic battle, individual strength doesn’t matter; it’s all about overall cooperation. In this regard, our Allied Forces are just a mess. If we want to contend with the King of Huainan’s army, our chances of winning are slim!”

Ye Luo had previously led troops in battle, so whether it was cultivators or ordinary soldiers, the principles were the same.

”Sect Leader Ye is indeed extraordinary; this is precisely the true reason for our crisis!” Sect Master Han’s eyes lit up immediately.

In fact, the reason he sought Ye Luo was because of the old ancestor of the Qiankun Sect. Although he didn’t underestimate Ye Luo, he ultimately felt Ye Luo was too young for a responsibility affecting all the sects’ fate. Could he really handle it?

And, at his age, suddenly wielding such powerful strength, would he become arrogant?

But just through these few words, he felt reassured!

Ye Luo was not conceited; instead, he clearly understood the essence of the matter.

”I presume Sect Master Han has also brought news of the King of Huainan?” Ye Luo suddenly asked.

Sect Master Han nodded immediately, ”Of course, knowing the enemy and oneself is crucial. If the King of Huainan brings all his troops, we might as well not resist!”

After all, the King of Huainan is a royal noble, holding one-third of the nobility’s strength. Most of the third faction’s territory is under his control. No one knows exactly how many troops he has, but eliminating this barren region is certainly not difficult. If he really makes up his mind, not even a Martial Emperor’s presence can change the outcome.

After all, Martial Emperors are indeed powerful, but against an ocean-like army, even they can become powerless.

”During this period, the King of Huainan has been constantly fighting with other forces. It’s rumored that the Demon God’s Hall is eyeing the third faction covetously, and the King of Huainan’s army is already tied up by two Demon God’s Halls. It’s said his resources are scarce due to his army being stalemated, hence he turned his attention to this region!” Sect Master Han said solemnly.

Everyone understood that while this region was considered barren, it was also the weakest. The other affluent regions all essentially had allied forces. The King of Huainan would have to pay a considerable price if he wanted to encroach on them!

That’s why he chose here. Moreover, Ye Luo always felt it was somewhat related to the death of the King of Huainan’s son in this area.

”According to the intelligence from over there, this time, the King of Huainan has dispatched an army of about five thousand!”

Five thousand?

Both Ye Luo and Sect Leader Wang inhaled sharply.

This isn’t war on Earth, where tens of thousands are involved in chaotic battles. This is the Demon Realm, and those under the King of Huainan aren’t ordinary soldiers; they are cultivators!

Moreover, the recruitment conditions for those soldiers are extremely harsh!

If five thousand troops were placed on Earth, they would be equivalent to a million-strong army.

Ye Luo was speechless. Despite the King of Huainan’s army being restrained by the Demon God’s Hall, he still managed to dispatch so many troops! It shows the King of Huainan’s true strength.

”This is troublesome. Our region only has so many sects. To resist these five thousand troops, we need at least seven thousand of our forces to have a fighting chance! To gather such a number of cultivators, all sects must work together; otherwise, it’s impossible!” Ye Luo frowned.

The King of Huainan’s troop numbers greatly exceeded Ye Luo’s expectations.

A loose collection trying to stand against an elite force is why at least seven thousand are needed.

In a chaotic battle, the strength cultivators can exert is greatly reduced, and with the slightest mistake, the Allied Forces could descend into chaos, as these people were assembled temporarily and wouldn’t genuinely obey Ye Luo’s command.

”Sect Leader Ye, that day when I witnessed your miraculous flames, could they be used against the King of Huainan’s army?” Sect Leader Wang asked tentatively.

After all, the story of Ye Luo burning the allied forces had spread widely.

Ye Luo laughed bitterly immediately, ”You underestimate the King of Huainan’s army. They are a true military force; tactics and combat skill are beyond our imagination. Besides, the army must have strong individuals overseeing it, incomparable to the alliance forces that day. If I use flames, it might not be worth the cost!”

Sect Master Han nodded slightly, ”Sect Leader Ye is right. I’ve witnessed the King of Huainan’s army; they are indeed extraordinary and must be handled cautiously!”

Though Sect Leader Wang did not understand the chill in Ye Luo’s words, he did not press further.

”Therefore, the current plan is to form the Allied Forces!” Sect Master Han said gravely. ”Sect Leader Ye, leave the recruitment to me. The Qiankun Sect still has some influence. I’ll try to assemble seven thousand people for you. As for the rest, I leave it to Sect Leader Ye!”

Ye Luo looked at Sect Master Han in astonishment. It seemed the Qiankun Sect’s foundations were beyond Ye Luo’s understanding. However, if they provided Ye Luo with seven thousand cultivators, Ye Luo’s strength would indeed become formidable.
