Chapter 2751: Chapter 2752: Selection Concludes

Subsequently, nothing unexpected happened, and the disciple selection went quite smoothly indeed.

In the end, more than three hundred sect members were selected. Of course, these members cannot be considered disciples yet because their cultivation level is simply too low.

Most remain in the Qi Cyclone Realm, and there wasn’t even one who reached the Earth Martial Realm! That’s right, not a single one.

After all, reaching the Earth Martial Realm is not considered low, as anyone with decent aptitude can enter those Great Sects. However, the few cultivators in the Heavenly Martial Realm stayed behind.

In fact, Ye Luo had noticed them long ago.

Among these people, three are cultivators whose life span is about to end. According to Ye Luo’s estimate, they probably only have a few months left; otherwise, why would they come to Mount Wudang?

Such cultivators could fall at any moment, and if they joined any sect, they would require vast amounts of resources daily to sustain themselves. Even then, it’s difficult to last a year, so naturally, no sect would waste resources on them. Though they’ve reached the Heavenly Martial Realm, they’re not much different from the dead.

There’s also a young man, considered a genius to have reached the Heavenly Martial Realm at his age, but he’s injured, his aura unstable, and death could come at any time. Ye Luo figured his lifespan wouldn’t be longer than those of the old men!

A middle-aged man is also among them, whose level Ye Luo couldn’t fully discern. His strength is the most formidable, seemingly at the Fifth Level of the Heavenly Martial Realm, but his realm fluctuates significantly. Such a person is either injured from the path or has suffered a demonic deviation!

In short, although these cultivators have reached the Heavenly Martial Realm, they are essentially valueless to the sect! On the contrary, the sect would waste a large amount of resources on them!

It seems that besides Ye Luo, no one else would keep them.

Moreover, once they are kept, driving them away would be Wudang Sect’s fault! After all, if you can’t even support your own sect members, what’s the point of establishing a sect!

Every sect emphasizes this point! A sect’s power doesn’t have to be strong, and it can be oppressed by other sects, but it absolutely must not neglect its own members.

”Sect Leader, the disciple recruitment ceremony is complete; a total of three hundred and twenty disciples were recruited!” Xiao Wu said respectfully, with a hint of excitement on his face.

After all, with these three hundred plus members, Wudang Sect can truly be considered established, and counting the previous wanderers, the numbers are considerable, comparable to those of medium-sized sects.

Of course, that’s only in terms of numbers. In terms of strength or realm, Wudang Sect is still inferior even to small sects.

Establishing a sect isn’t that simple; it requires years of accumulation at the very least.

”First, arrange accommodations for these members. This time tomorrow, gather at the plaza, and I will arrange their cultivation schedule!”

Xiao Wu immediately accepted the command and hurriedly went to arrange residences for the disciples.

Ye Luo, meanwhile, approached the few Heavenly Martial Realm sect members, having previously transmitted a message for them to wait where they were.

Upon Ye Luo’s arrival, the five cultivators hurriedly saluted him.

Without saying anything else, Ye Luo’s act of taking them in had already moved them.

”Salutations to the Sect Leader!”

The group respectfully exclaimed, Ye Luo nodding slightly, understanding that only when people reach such a state would they truly abandon worldly concerns and genuinely appreciate those who show them benevolence!

”Come with me!”

Ye Luo waved his hand, and a powerful force of mana enveloped the group. Then, in a flash, they found themselves inside a great hall, Ye Luo’s cave mansion.

This mansion was quite simple, with only a massive meditation mat, as everything else was discarded by Ye Luo.

The group looked at Ye Luo in astonishment; they had known he was strong but had no concept of just how strong since Ye Luo was only at the Fifth Level of the Earth Martial Realm.

But that seemingly ordinary mana earlier had greatly shaken them! That mana was definitely at the Martial King level!

There had been much debate about Ye Luo’s realm externally! Some believed he had the strength of the Martial King Realm, while others said he relied on other means to achieve such strength, whether through secret techniques or by depleting his lifespan!

However, now these individuals clearly understood that this was entirely Ye Luo’s genuine cultivation level.

”Since you’ve joined the Wudang Sect, you are now members of my Wudang Sect, and as you’ve entered the Heavenly Martial Realm, you shall serve as elders of the Wudang Sect!” Ye Luo said calmly.

Even though their realm wasn’t much different from Xiao Wu’s, Xiao Wu’s was forcibly elevated by Ye Luo. While there might be no drawbacks, it still requires a period of accumulation, at least a few years.

These few, however, reached this realm purely through their cultivation and had fully mastered the strength of the Heavenly Martial Realm, far stronger than Xiao Wu.

With such cultivation, they could fully assume the role of elders in medium-sized sects.

However, the group was taken aback by his words.

Firstly, being an elder requires more than just sufficient strength; one must be loyal to the sect and usually undergo years of observation! In essence, to serve as an elder, loyalty is the foremost requirement over strength!

Secondly, their particular situation was quite unique, with only a few months of life left, and they required vast resources daily. Even if given an elder’s title, they couldn’t bring any real value to the sect!

This isn’t to say they wouldn’t want to, but their condition had reached the point of exhaustion, leaving no potential to be harnessed.

”Thank you for your generosity, Sect Leader, but as you know our situation, your willingness to take us in is already our fortune!” an old man immediately replied with a bitter smile, with a somewhat apologetic look.

The others also appeared a bit embarrassed.

But Ye Luo just laughed heartily, ”I’ve made you elders because I have plans. What do you think of the Wudang Sect?”

The group was once again surprised at such a sudden shift in Ye Luo’s question.

”Forgive this old man’s straightforwardness, but Wudang Sect is newly established, with the sole merit being the Sect Leader’s strength; otherwise, it’s practically nonexistent!” the old man said solemnly, glancing at Ye Luo after his statement.

After all, his words were considerably disrespectful towards the Wudang Sect.
