The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

”And this one—”

Ye Beibei said, handing the plate to Ye Cheeng, ”is called leftovers! It’s what everyone ate and left behind, not wanted!”

”Haha, or are you saying rich people are different from common folk? Rich people call this ’kitchen waste’ deliberately left for someone?”

Ye Cheeng lowered his head, staring blankly at the two dishes in front of him.

Uh, this, this indeed doesn’t look like food deliberately set aside for someone.

Instead, it seems more like the leftovers after their meal.

But, even so, Ye Beibei shouldn’t be so sarcastic.

Who is she targeting with this?

To those who know, she’s blaming Aunt Fang for her incompetence;

to those unaware, they might think she’s accusing Ye Muwan, her own sister, of deliberately deceiving her.

Besides, Ye Beibei usually doesn’t eat if she misses dinner time.

Aunt Fang probably feared the food would be wasted, hence—

Thinking of this, Ye Cheeng, who was a bit embarrassed earlier, instantly resumed a cold expression: ”What kitchen waste? What rich people, common folk!”

”Ye Beibei, even if Aunt Fang did something wrong, you shouldn’t be so sarcastic.”

”You’re already a big girl of seventeen or eighteen, you should understand some things—”

As Ye Cheeng spoke, he started habitually scolding Ye Beibei.

Ye Beibei directly interrupted: ”Stop! Stop!! Dad, I don’t understand you here. How could the family-hired aunt make a mistake, and instead of blaming her, you start scolding me instead?”

As someone who’s long suffered emotional neglect, Ye Beibei hates hearing the phrase ”even if... you shouldn’t...”

It’s a classic case of victim blaming.

Even if someone harms you, you shouldn’t mind, or else you’re not understanding enough, not tolerant enough, not kind enough!

For heaven’s sake, what kind of nonsense logic is this?

”Don’t ramble on too much, just tell me, if you come home excitedly after being told someone left you some food, only to find out it’s nothing but leftovers, kitchen waste that even the family dog would refuse, would you happily eat it?”

On the rooftop, Ye Beibei almost jumped directly off.

At that moment, she seemed a bit dazed.

Soon afterward, Senior Su chatted with her, distracting her attention.

But, recalling it after the fact, Ye Beibei can still feel the despair, helplessness from that time!

In a sense, she’s really died once.

Not fearing even death, why should she worry about anything else?

And Senior Su’s words gave Ye Beibei immense confidence and courage.

Indeed, none of this is what she wished for, why should she feel guilty?

Even if there’s any debt, it’s others who owe her.

She owes nobody!

From today on, she will no longer swallow her anger, no longer let anyone bully her!

”Sister, I didn’t fish for compliments! I really asked Aunt to leave you some food!”

Hearing Ye Beibei’s sarcasm, Ye Muwan felt truly wronged.

She was genuinely concerned, worried her sister wouldn’t have food, and specially reminded Aunt Fang.

Who would’ve thought Aunt Fang would act so ”deceptively?”

”Exactly, Muwan meant well, it’s mainly Aunt Fang’s oversight, that’s why—”

Seeing his younger daughter’s aggrieved expression, Ye Cheeng felt incredibly heartbroken.

He shifted from his indifference towards Ye Beibei to showing a comforting smile to Ye Muwan.

”Yes, it’s Aunt Fang who didn’t do things right!”

Ye Beixuan couldn’t bear seeing his little sister’s aggrieved look, and quickly chimed in to defend.

He raised his voice and called: ”Aunt Fang! Aunt Fang! Come over and make some new dishes for Beibei!”

Ye Beibei:...

Haha, when she clashes with Aunt Fang, Ye Cheeng and son settle it with ”even if... you shouldn’t...”

When Ye Muwan has an issue with Aunt Fang, they decide Aunt Fang’s fault without questioning!

Luckily, Ye Beibei has truly let go this time; in the past, her perception of this sensitivity would have greatly upset her.

”Hey! I’m coming!”

Living downstairs, Aunt Fang actually heard the commotion here long ago.

Initially, she didn’t take it seriously, and thus didn’t come out to explain immediately.

Now seeing things escalating and implicating her, she dared not hide any longer.

”My fault! All my fault! During dinner, when Muwan saw that Beibei hadn’t returned, she specifically asked me to leave some food for Beibei!”

Approaching them, Aunt Fang smiled and explained first.

While explaining, she didn’t forget to defend herself a bit: ”Before, when Beibei missed dinner time, I always followed Muwan’s instructions and left food just for Beibei!”
