The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 196: Chapter 110: A Male Lead’s Relative (Part 14)_3

”Yeah, I’ll just give it to you! And as for losing money? Oh, brother, no offense, but who thinks about losing money before even starting the business? Isn’t that bad luck?”

He Tiantian mockingly chastised her older brother, the male lead, and then casually waved her hand, ”If it really loses money, then it does. Consider it paying for your experience.”

As she spoke, He Tiantian also took out her phone, ”I’ll just transfer it to you!”

Her fingers tapped and swiped across the screen.

In less than two minutes, Ye Chen received a text message from the bank about the transaction.

Ye Chen didn’t look at his phone but instead stared intently at He Tiantian for quite a while before finally smiling, ”Alright, then I’ll just use it!”

Internally, Ye Chen was calculating—

If his private restaurant launched successfully and quickly turned a profit, he would consider this money an investment.

He would give his cousin dividends based on a percentage in the future.

As long as his private restaurant stayed open, his cousin could always have an income.

If the restaurant didn’t do well and lost money, Ye Chen would treat this money as a loan and would repay his cousin principal plus interest.

He Tiantian did not know Ye Chen’s thoughts, but she wouldn’t have been surprised if she did.

Tsk tsk, the man’s the male lead after all, and also one of those noble types who only discusses friendship and not profit with the heir of a tycoon.

In some respects, his character was absolutely reliable!

So, without asking for any proof at all, He Tiantian transferred 250,000 yuan to Ye Chen.

Because she believed that Ye Chen would never let her down, and he certainly wouldn’t stiff her.

”Another thing, Xiao Tian, that He Family recipe book is essentially the He Family’s heirloom; even though Grandfather passed it on to me, and you’ve said you don’t want it, I still hope you’ll learn it with me!”

Ye Chen really lived up to his name as the male lead, always so forthright and upright.

”...I, I—” He Tiantian instinctively wanted to refuse, but then she thought of something and deliberately put on a troubled face, ”What’s so good about cooking? Smoky and sweaty—”

”What isn’t difficult in this world?”

Ye Chen couldn’t stand the lazy appearance of ”He Thian,” who was unwilling to endure hardship and refused to be down-to-earth.

And at this moment, he had already taken his not-so-distant cousin under his wing, feeling an inexplicable sense of responsibility and mission toward his cousin.

It wouldn’t do for ”He Thian” to continue to mess around like this.

Even if he knew archery, competing in matches and winning bets was too unreliable, with no guarantee of a long-term stable income.

It was more important for his cousin to truly master a craft that could establish him in life!

Being a chef might not sound so prestigious, but cooking skills are the most practical talent.

No matter where or when, as long as you can cook and make something tasty, you won’t starve to death.

Having made up his mind, the male lead executed his decision with determination.

So, in the following days, Ye Chen decorated the shop while making He Tiantian learn to cook in the back kitchen.

”Brother! I don’t want to! I don’t want to be a chef. It’s all smoke and sweating and practicing basics, my hands are going to break!”

He Tiantian howled dramatically in the brand new kitchen, waving her fair and delicate hands without any regard for male dignity.

”Ding! Male lead’s anger value +1!”

Ye Chen was really learning what a ’bear child’ was.

Damn it, his cheap cousin was nothing but a headache-inducing ’bear child’.

But, Ye Chen was not someone who easily admitted defeat.

To make his cousin earnestly learn the craft, Ye Chen went for the jugular, ”Learn quickly! I’ve talked to Wenyuan; he and his friends won’t be looking for you to shoot, to compete!”

”You, just focus on learning to wash and chop vegetables!”

”Brother, please, no, you’re my real brother, you can’t do this to me!”

He Tiantian continued her screaming and wailing, a noise that truly lived up to the phrase ’a dreadful sound’.

”Ding! Male lead’s anger value +1!”

Ye Chen twitched at the temples; he really was getting fed up with his cheap cousin’s howling, so after some thought, he dangled a carrot, ”Like this, if you learn to chop vegetables, I’ll let you go make some extra money with Su Wenyuan!”

At these words, He Tiantian’s eyes lit up.

But she didn’t forget to clarify some things, ”Brother, how would you count it as having learned to chop vegetables?”

Ye Chen: ... Smart kid, his brain runs extra fast when it’s not something serious.

”When the potato strips you chop are even in thickness and can thread through a needle eye, then you’ll have graduated in chopping vegetables!”

Ye Chen didn’t beat around the bush, handing He Tiantian a whole basin full of potatoes.

After laying down the law, Ye Chen went off to attend to his own matters, because according to his experience, learning to chop well would take at least a month or two.

That was if someone was talented; for a slower learner, half a year to a year might still not be enough to master it.

However, no sooner had Ye Chen gone to the front to discuss details with the contractor than He Tiantian started shouting, ”Brother, I’ve done it!”

”Ding! Male lead’s anger value +1!”
