The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 172: Chapter 102: The Male Lead’s Relative (Six)_3

She pursed her lips, a glimmer of tears in her eyes, and pointed at Ye Chen, ”What’s wrong? Ask your precious son! Look at what he has done!”

Mr. Ye was obviously stunned for a moment, My son?

That’s not right!

In this family, the one who usually caused trouble was He Thian, while Ye Chen had been sensible and obedient since he was little, and had become even more decisive as he grew up.

Especially after Ye Chen graduated from college, Mr. Ye felt increasingly that his son had become an adult, capable of shouldering the burdens of the family and protecting it against all odds!

”Mom, Dad, let’s not talk about this now. We should go out and find Xiao Tian first!”

Seeing that his mother was crying, Ye Chen suddenly realized that his attitude toward He Thian was indeed not very good.

He could dislike He Thian, but he couldn’t ignore his real mother’s feelings.

Sigh, just as real mother had said, there was really only He Thian left in Old He’s family.

Ye Chen was two years older than He Thian, and he already had memories when He Thian’s real father was alive.

He remembered clearly, as a child, his uncle was indeed very fond of him.

Not to mention his grandfather... even though Ye Chen had no desire for his grandfather’s inheritance, he had indeed received a gift from the elderly head of the He family.

And originally, these things should have passed to the rightful heir of the He family—He Thian.

It’s just that when the grandfather passed away, He Thian was with his mother out of town, and the He family couldn’t get in touch with him at all.

Later, when He Thian came looking on his own, Mrs. Ye and Ye Chen carefully told him about the events before Old Master He’s death.

And they conveyed that they were willing to give the ”Inheritance” that Old Master He had passed to Ye Chen to He Thian.

After He Thian asked clearly what the ”Inheritance” was and took a look at it himself, he sincerely said, ”Aunt, brother, since grandfather entrusted the items to you, then they belong to you from now on!”

”Besides, my brother wore the hemp and mourning for grandfather, and he was burying and mourning him. It’s only right that he inherits grandfather’s inheritance!”

Ye Chen could see clearly that the reason He Thian declined wasn’t as noble as he claimed.

He Thian simply did not value it.

But, regardless of what He Thian truly thought, he did not fight with the Ye Family over the so-called ”Inheritance” and even affirmed the Ye Family’s efforts, which made Mr. Ye and Ye Chen very comfortable.

The ”Inheritance” that He Thian didn’t value, Ye Chen had secretly learned and was preparing to use it as capital for starting a business.

Once the business was up and running, and Ye Chen made a fortune from it, he would have to remember that he still owed the He family a favor.

For that favor, Ye Chen also had to treat He Thian as his own brother.

”Today’s incident, Xiao Tian indeed misunderstood, but I too spoke improperly.”

Ye Chen conducted a self-examination first, then said, ”However, talking about this is useless now! Let’s go find Xiao Tian first, and once we find him, I, I will apologize to him properly!”

”Yes! Yes, exactly! Finding him is what’s important!” Mr. Ye still didn’t know what had happened. At most, he had learned through his wife and child that He Thian had run away from home.

The reason wasn’t urgent; finding the person was crucial.

He Thian wasn’t like Ye Chen; he was naturally playful and had some bad habits.

If he ran off in a huff and then caused some trouble, oh dear, Old Ye’s Family really couldn’t bear it.

”Hmph! After we find Xiao Tian, I’ll settle the score with you!”

Seeing that her husband and son really cared about He Thian and showed no disdain or inclination to just let things happen, Mrs. Ye’s uneasy heart immediately settled.

As long as the family didn’t reject He Thian, as long as her son could recognize his own mistakes, that would be fine!

Once they found He Thian and cleared the air, the family could be harmonious again.

If her son and nephew could fully reconcile because of this, it would resolve a big worry for Mrs. Ye.

The family of three didn’t even care about dinner; they grabbed their phones and rushed out the door in a flurry.

They searched everywhere, at places He Thian usually liked to go, such as internet cafés, bars, discos, KTVs... The Ye family visited every one.

But, they didn’t find a trace of ”He Thian.”

As it was nearing midnight and they still hadn’t found him, Mrs. Ye was distraught, tears involuntarily falling.

”If it really doesn’t work out, we, we’ll just call the police!”

Mr. Ye, feeling sorry for his wife and not bearing to see her so upset, softly uttered a word.

”Yes, yes, let’s call the police!” Mrs. Ye, as if clutching a lifeline, eagerly agreed.

Just as the couple was trembling, preparing to dial for help on their phones, Ye Chen’s phone suddenly rang.

The old pair jumped, nearly throwing their phones out.

Clasping the phone tightly, Mr. and Mrs. Ye both looked toward Ye Chen, ”Xiao Chen, is it Xiao Tian who’s calling?”

Ye Chen quickly checked his phone to discover, ”No, it’s, it’s Su Wenyuan!”

Late at night, almost dawn, why would Su Wenyuan call him?

Ye Chen was puzzled but still pressed the call button: ”Ye Zi, why haven’t you come over yet? Your cousin has been here for a while. Hurry up, or we’re all going to leave!”

Ye Chen: ...Damn! Good job, He Thian, you, you actually ran off to find Su Wenyuan.

And He Tiantian, parading as his cousin and heading to drink with Su Wenyuan, heard a familiar notification sound echoing deep within his ”sea of consciousness”:

”Ding! The male lead’s anger value +4!”
