The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 190: Chapter 108: The Male Lead’s Relative (Twelve)_3

No one is the Holy Mother, just giving without expecting anything in return.

If her own efforts were reciprocated, Mrs. Ye wasn’t just happy for the reciprocation itself, but more so felt that her efforts had value.

She hadn’t been foolish, nor had her sincerity been trampled on.

”I’ve said it before, I’m not just all talk! I even bought gifts for aunt and uncle!”

As if to prove He Tiantian’s words, just after she finished speaking, a knock sounded from outside the door.

”Ah, here they come, it must be the delivery from the store!”

He Tiantian sprang up from the sofa like a spring.

She dashed to the door in three steps, took two and peeked through the peephole, cheerfully saying, ”It really is the delivery!”

With that, she opened the security door.

Soon, several young men in XX Electronics uniforms brought in several large boxes, either carrying or dragging them.

Mrs. Ye was stunned, ”Xiao Tian, did you buy all these?”

”Yes, aunt, our washing machine really needed replacing. It couldn’t handle silk or down, and you had to wash those by hand every time, which was so tiring. I got you a drum washing machine!”

”And this dishwasher, uncle washing dishes every day is too hard, this model is the best, it can even fit pots, so uncle can really save effort!”

”Oh, and there’s also this water heater, large capacity, super smart, enough for our family of four. Not like before, when the hot water would run out while using it!”

”And, you and uncle always have back pains, so I specially bought this massage chair, the latest model, super multifunctional. I tried it; it’s amazing! When you both have time, just sit on it and relax!”

He Tiantian pointed at the boxes big and small, instructing the workers on the specific installation locations while showing off to her aunt.

Mrs. Ye’s mouth hung open, speechless for a long time before she finally managed to squeeze out, ”You, you child, how much money did all this cost?”

”Ah, not much, not much, just over a hundred thousand dollars. Money is not the issue, as long as you and uncle are comfortable!” He Tiantian waved her hands dismissively, looking every bit the nouveau riche.

”...You child! Return them, return all the items. The appliances we have at home still work, there’s no need for new ones.”

Mrs. Ye finally reacted and hurriedly stopped the workers from continuing.

”I won’t return them. Aunt, just listen to me.”

He Tiantian grabbed Mrs. Ye, stopping her from interfering with the workers, yet earnestly said, ”These past two years, you and uncle have been so good to me. Now that I have money, I want to treat you well too.”

”I’m your aunt, your grandfather and your dad are both gone, it’s my duty to treat you well!”

”Aunt, apart from real parents and children, no one is obligated to treat anyone well!”

He Tiantian suddenly changed from her usual playful demeanor and said seriously, ”My real mother could kick me out after I turned eighteen, how could I expect others to open their hearts to me?”

When He Tiantian mentioned her unreliable real mother, Mrs. Ye initially wanted to say something but swallowed her words.

”...Your mom is an exception, there are still more parents out there who love their children! Besides, I’m not an outsider, I’m your aunt!” Mrs. Ye said softly.

”If you’re not an outsider, then it’s only right for me to spend money to take care of you, isn’t it?”

He Tiantian suddenly pretended to be upset, ”Or, do you think I’m not family, so you won’t accept my gifts?”

”Nonsense! When have I ever treated you like an outsider—” Mrs. Ye suddenly paused.

She stared intently at her nephew, and after a long time, she no longer said anything but showed a relieved smile, ”Okay, I understand, we won’t return these items!”

A child’s good intentions, she couldn’t disappoint.

As for the future expenses for her nephew buying a house or getting married, she and her husband would think of a way.

Having completely understood, Mrs. Ye felt relieved and even somewhat excited watching the workers.

She busied herself back and forth, not forgetting to deliberately stand in the corridor and remind the workers to be careful.

Across the door, the upstairs and downstairs neighbors, curious about the noise, all poked their heads out.

Their house was accommodation provided by Mr. Ye’s company before he was laid off; fortunately, they had bought it on their own when it was offered, so it wasn’t reclaimed when he was laid off.

Since it was the old company quarters, most of the neighbors were old colleagues or people who had lived there many years.

The Ye Family’s next-door and upstairs neighbors were all relationships of over twenty years.

So, seeing such a lively scene at the Ye Family’s door, someone asked, ”Little He, what’s going on?”

”Ah, nothing much, my nephew from my mother’s side is staying with us, seeing that some of our appliances are too old, he bought us new ones after making some money.”

Mrs. Ye’s face beamed with smiles, pride and show-off clearly etched in her expression.

”It’s alright buying the latest washing machines and water heaters, but the child insisted on buying us a dishwasher and a massage chair.”

”He said his uncle washing dishes was too hard, and that I needed a massage after tiredness from dancing...”

Mrs. Ye’s loud voice echoed in the corridor, her joy clear for anyone to hear!
