The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 179: Chapter 105: The Male Lead’s Relative (Nine)

”Young Master, that Park Jinwoo said he can’t make it today!”

A man beside Su Wenyuan received a phone call, spoke with someone briefly, and, a few minutes later, hung up the phone with a grim expression on his face, then muttered angrily to Su Wenyuan.

”He can’t come now? Wasn’t everything arranged beforehand?” Su Wenyuan’s heart skipped a beat as he coldly looked at his assistant.

The assistant felt a bitter taste in his mouth. He knew he had messed up the day’s events for Young Master Su.

He, he never imagined that in Provincial City, someone would dare conspire against Young Master Su.

”...Park Jinwoo said, said he accidentally had an accident this morning and injured his arm, so, so—” The assistant relayed what the other party had said.

However, the more he spoke, the lower his voice got.

Clearly, he did not believe the other person’s words either.

What a joke, Park Jinwoo is a professional athlete from Cosmic Country.

As a professional archery athlete, he had always taken great care of his body.

How could he have easily injured his arm?

Moreover, when the assistant just spoke to him over the phone, when Park mentioned his ”accidental injury,” there wasn’t much anxiety in his tone. Instead, he kept emphasizing: I’m injured, so my ”breach of contract” is force majeure, you can’t hold me responsible.

”Ha, good one, Park Jinwoo, does he think I, Su Wenyuan, am a three-year-old child?”

Su Wenyuan laughed grimly in anger.

He wasn’t stupid. How could he not guess what the truth of the matter really was?

It was simply that Park Jinwoo had been bought off by someone, deliberately failing to show up on the agreed day to make Su Wenyuan look like a fool.

The person who bribed Park Jinwoo must have offered him a price that included the penalty for breach of contract.

Just that Mr. Park was too greedy; he wanted to earn both payments.

”Assistant Qi, I invited Mr. Park to Provincial City to help me with the contest. Although he didn’t get injured during the contest, it still somewhat relates.”

A cold glimmer passed through Su Wenyuan’s eyes as he coldly said, ”As the invitor, I, Su Wenyuan, naturally cannot ignore Mr. Park. Let’s do this, send him to the hospital and ensure he receives proper treatment! I will cover all expenses, including medical bills, nutrition fees, and so on!”

Assistant Qi swallowed hard. He knew that Young Master Su was truly furious.

Su Wenyuan’s words didn’t carry a hint of bloodshed, but as a personal assistant, Assistant Qi was very clear about his underlying meaning—

Park Jinwoo said his arm was injured, then send him to the hospital.

If there was no injury, they would make sure one appeared right there!

”...Yes!” Assistant Qi hesitated for a moment but still agreed.

In fact, he also despised schemers like Park Jinwoo.

If you take someone’s money, you should do their bidding.

If someone buys you out to sabotage Su Wenyuan midway, then you should be prepared for Young Master Su’s revenge.

As a wealthy young master of Provincial City, Su Wenyuan never bullied others on account of his power. He even became close friends with Ye Chen, who came from an ordinary family.

But, this doesn’t mean Su Wenyuan is genuinely kindhearted and repays evil with good.

”Young Master, sending Park Jinwoo to the hospital is easy, but what about the contest with Third Young Master Wu today?”

Assistant Qi was most worried about this.

Su Wenyuan and the third son of the Wu Family had developed a feud over a piece of land, going back and forth, and finally settled on gambling the land through an archery contest.

If he won, he could take the land.

If he lost, he would not only lose a piece of land but also his face.

Seeing the importance of this gambling agreement, Su Wenyuan, who had enjoyed archery since childhood and reached the level of an amateur full, but not yet a professional, had specifically asked someone to invite a professional athlete from Cosmic Country back.

Su Wenyuan had still underestimated the Wu Family’s third son’s cunning, daring to play the trick of cutting off the supply.

Now, when it was almost time for the contest, his hired foreign aid turned his coat at the last moment.

You can imagine how infuriated Su Wenyuan felt inside.

The situation had developed to a point where it was no longer just about a simple piece of land.

The gambling agreement between Su Wenyuan and Third Young Master Wu seemed like the reckless capers of two wealthy young masters.

But, behind the scenes, both families cast long shadows.

The Su Family was the wealthiest, while the Wu Family had developed rapidly in recent years and continually sought to overtake the Su Family.

Land, gambling commitments, it may seem like a scuffle between two families’ children, but isn’t it also a covert clash between two major families?

Whichever side won, it wasn’t just a victory for certain individuals, but it represented the triumph of an entire family.

”...Hurry up and contact the provincial team, find a technically stable athlete to come over!” After his burst of anger, Su Wenyuan also began to think rapidly about a countermeasure.
