The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 140: Chapter 091: Entering the Martial World (Part 4)_3

Yes, he and his junior brother were both from Carefree Manor, and Shenxing was a Carefree Disciple. Sending him back to the sect to learn the arts seemed reasonable and proper.

He wasn’t shirking responsibility but felt that by going to the sect and formally taking a master, he could receive systematic and comprehensive training.

So, He Yichong said farewell to Kang Shenxing and took him to Carefree Manor.

At this time, the Carefree Manor was headed by He Yichong’s senior sect brother, ”Carefree Immortal” Bei Mingzi, as the manor master.

Bei Mingzi had a good relationship with both He Yichong and Kang Yimo, so He Yichong entrusted Kang Shenxing to him with confidence.

Bei Mingzi remembered his friendship with Junior Brother Kang and took great care of Kang Shenxing, his nephew.

But having grown old and being preoccupied with the manifold affairs of being the manor master, he entrusted the teaching of Kang Shenxing’s martial arts to his eldest disciple, Kun Peng.

Kun Peng was indeed diligent and devoted, but with so many junior brothers, disciples, and junior nephews needing his guidance, he simply could not give Kang Shenxing any special attention.

In a large sect with many disciples and complex factions, there were always some grievances and inevitable scheming.

As an outsider, although Kang Shenxing’s father was a Carefree Disciple, he had passed away many years ago.

With an uncle who was not close at hand and no one to rely on or support him, he was vulnerable to being bullied.

Kang Shenxing was not one to suffer losses. When others insulted him, he would retaliate.

But being alone and weak, and just beginning to learn martial arts, he was no match for those who had been in the sect for several years.

Originally like a hedgehog, Kang Shenxing became even more extreme and irascible after being humiliated.

It was Fu Yaozi, Bei Mingzi’s little junior sister and one of the ”Nine Immortals of Carefree,” who happened upon Kang Shenxing being beaten up and took pity on him. After learning his identity and story, she took him back to her Fuyao Courtyard for refuge.

Fu Yaozi spoke with Bei Mingzi, related the abuse Kang Shenxing had suffered, and finally suggested, ”Seeing as senior brother is too busy to teach him, let me take him on as a martial arts disciple.”

Bei Mingzi had no objections and agreed offhandedly.

Of course, he didn’t forget to punish those disciples who had bullied Kang Shenxing.

Ah, by doing so, Bei Mingzi inadvertently increased Kang Shenxing’s hatred value and laid the groundwork for his future defection from Carefree Manor.

Fu Yaozi, called Junior Master Uncle, was actually just six years older than Kang Shenxing.

Not yet twenty years old, she had already made a name for herself in the Itinerant World, yet she retained a youthful and lively spirit.

She was sunny and cheerful, contrasting with Kang Shenxing’s somewhat sinister and obstinate nature, but oddly, they complemented each other.

In teaching Kang Shenxing, Fu Yaozi was incredibly dedicated and treated him as if he were her own direct disciple.

As for Kang Shenxing, having grown up lonely and without much warmth, he saw the Junior Master Uncle, who brightened his life, as extremely important.

The relationship between the two disciples grew increasingly intimate, and Kang Shenxing’s martial arts skills improved rapidly.

However, there were those who secretly envied Kang Shenxing and could not bear to see him become the rising star of the manor.

Seeing Kang Shenxing’s close relationship with Fu Yaozi, they started to slander them, alleging an improper affair.

The separation between the sexes and the closeness in their ages were key issues.

Their relationship was open and honest, but those with malicious hearts saw filth in everything.

In the end, after being repeatedly slandered and framed, Kang Shenxing became a renegade of Carefree Manor.

And Fu Yaozi was forced to give up her title as one of the ”Nine Immortals of Carefree” and leave Fuyao Courtyard.

She prepared to live in anonymity, retreating from society with Kang Shenxing.

But just before leaving, Kang Shenxing suddenly remembered he had an uncle who cared deeply about him and decided to say goodbye.

However, a misunderstanding ensued, and to save Fu Yaozi, who had been poisoned, Kang Shenxing was compelled to attack He Yichong’s six-year-old son, He Jinyan.

He Tuiyan, who harbored a secret love for Kang Shenxing, discovered his plot and mistook his previous politeness for deceit.

In a fit of embarrassed rage, she confronted Kang Shenxing; during the quarrel, she drew her sword and cut off his arm.

After losing his arm, Kang Shenxing, while fleeing, encountered the reclusive martial hero Shen Tujue, from whom he learned the exclusive Seven Extremes Sword Technique, eventually becoming a new generation Martial Arts Master.

He saved his Junior Master Uncle Fu Yaozi, came to admire He Yichong’s great spirit of serving his country and his people, and was won over.

Together with Fu Yaozi, they helped He Yichong protect Xiang City.

But He Tuiyan, having gone too far by cutting off Kang Shenxing’s arm, was sent by Tian Dan to hide from calamity, yet she couldn’t resist causing more trouble.

She reaped the consequences of her own actions and also implicated her relatives.

After much turmoil, she ended up costing herself her own life but also caused Fu Yaozi to get injured, lose her memory, and miss crossing paths with Kang Shenxing, ending up worlds apart.

Years later, Kang Shenxing achieved the illustrious reputation of the One-Armed Hero.

The severely injured and amnesiac Fu Yaozi was rescued by the people of Wuyou Island, who even falsely claimed her as their wife.

But Fu Yaozi, having only lost her memory and not her intelligence, sensed that something was wrong. She humored the ”husband” of Wuyou Island for several years before finally escaping.

After leaving the island, she roamed the Itinerant World alone, encountering many old acquaintances, and gradually recalled her own identity.

Thus, she traveled to Xiang City in search of Kang Shenxing, and, at long last, the lovers were reunited.

When the Hulu armies invaded, He Yichong and his wife fought valiantly to defend Xiang City, but in the end, the city fell and they perished.

No matter how skilled Kang Shenxing and his Junior Master Uncle were, they couldn’t withstand the Hulu’s Iron Cavalry. Though they assassinated a few chiefs and slightly delayed the invasion, they couldn’t alter the overall situation.

In the end, Kang Shenxing and Fu Yaozi, along with the He Family orphan He Jinyan, retreated to live in seclusion in the mountains...
