The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 106: Chapter 080: The Whole Family Is Top-grade (Part 12)_2

As athletes, whether it was Hua Country’s Liu Jianhong or Cosmic Country’s Park Mihye, whenever they lifted their bows and arrows, the audience from Hua Country would consciously shut their mouths.

Although they didn’t quite understand the competition of archery, they at least knew the common sense—

Archery required concentration and calmness.

Too much external interference would somewhat affect the athletes.

But the audience from Cosmic Country seemed not to be so ”conscious.”

When their own athletes were shooting, they would keep quiet.

But when it was Liu Jianhong’s turn, the cheers and noise just wouldn’t stop.

On the surface, it seemed unintentional.

But the real situation, only they themselves knew best.

He Tiantian, staying in the rest area, couldn’t help frowning upon seeing the situation inside the venue.

Coach Chen, who had specifically come to watch the match, was initially surprised and then fully understood why the head coach played the noise recordings for He Tiantian that day at the provincial team.

Coach Chen was not unaware of the possible disturbances caused by the audience to the athletes.

But he had overestimated the sportsmanship of the people from a certain country.

This, this, was already malicious interference with the athletes.

Coach Chen wished he could rush up and lodge a complaint.

But he couldn’t.

Hua Country always prided itself on its grand national demeanor, and since this session of the Asian Games was held in Capital City, Hua Country had to be particularly restrained.

So, even though they noticed the unsportsmanlike behavior of a certain country, the referees inside the venue did not make any moves to stop it.

”Eighth ring! Liu Jianhong has finished the first round with a total score of twenty-three rings!”

”...Park Mihye secured 2 points with a three-ring advantage. In the first round, Liu Jianhong is temporarily behind!”

The announcer said with a hint of regret.

And the audience from Cosmic Country, seemingly noticing that Liu Jianhong was disturbed, yelled even more vigorously.

Liu Jianhong continued to fail.

She felt increasingly heavy pressure as she consecutively shot scores of seventh ring and eighth ring.

Her movements when drawing the bow even started to hesitate.

The cheers inside the venue became even crazier.

The broadcaster could hardly hold back. He still didn’t name names but indirectly criticized: ”...Our audience from Hua Country is very conscious; they maintain silence when athletes from both countries are shooting!”

By saying the audience from Hua Country was conscious, he was implicitly criticizing the audience from Cosmic Country for being too unconscious.

But this subtle criticism didn’t work.

The audience from the certain country grew even more rampant, and in their cheers, there were even some ”booing” sounds.

He Tiantian watched, becoming increasingly angry.

As Coach Chen was annoyed, he also reminded He Tiantian, ”Tiantian, when it’s your turn to go on, the situation might be even more severe!”

”Don’t, don’t let it affect you!”

He Tiantian entered the finals with top-ranking scores, powerfully.

This was the closest Hua Country Archery Team had ever been to an Asian Games gold medal. If He Tiantian, like Liu Jianhong, were distracted and thus lost the championship, that would be too regrettable!

”Coach, don’t worry, I will be careful!”

He Tiantian said with a stern face, her words filled with determination.

Humph, it was nothing but a bunch of flies buzzing. In the Virtual Learning Space, she trained directly on a live-or-die battlefield.

He Tiantian would not be afraid of such lowly, base interference.

”Good, I trust you, but you must remember, no matter what happens on the field, you must stay steady, steady, steady!”

Coach Chen said ”I trust you,” but he was still worried and kept reminding her.

He Tiantian had the talent and the skill; her Full Ring scores had thoroughly dazzled the archery circle.

But, she was only eighteen this year, and competing in such a scale of an international competition for the first time.

She lacked big fight experience and had the precedent of a teammate’s defeat; it was difficult for Coach Chen not to worry about her.

”Okay, I’ve got it!” He Tiantian obediently agreed.

She was sure she wouldn’t be disturbed, but the coaches worried.

Not to mention Coach Chen, an ”audience” member, even the head coach repeatedly reminded her.

Soon, the bronze medal contest ended.

Liu Jianhong missed out on the medal, achieving a fourth-position finish at the Asian Games.

Even though it was already a very good result, He Tiantian’s exceptional performance gave great confidence to the women’s archery team.

And as Liu Jianhong, who had trained with He Tiantian from morning to night, felt an inexplicable sense of mission.

She always felt that if she couldn’t win a medal, it would seem somewhat disappointing, unworthy of her status as He Tiantian’s best (little) (follower) teammate.
