The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 138: Chapter 091: Entering the Martial World (Part 4)

During these days, He Tiantian, while helping to take care of the wounded, had also reorganized the plot of her story.

Although this online novel was suspected by netizens of plagiarism,

Other than a classic scene of an amputated arm and a few similar character setups, the rest of the story was still quite different.

Compared to ”Divine Eagle,” this martial arts novel was much simpler—

It was set in a fictional dynasty similar to the Northern Song, where power was divided between the government, the Itinerant World, and a middle zone.

There were three major sects in the Itinerant World, one valley, one island, and one manor.

The three major sects were the Shaolin Sect, Quanzhen Sect, and Beggar Gang;

one valley was Immortal Valley;

one island was Wuyou Island;

and the manor was Carefree Manor.

In this novel, the father of the male lead and the father of the female supporting character were disciples of Carefree Manor, namely Kang Yimo and He Yichong.

He Yichong was the senior disciple. After completing his martial arts training, he ventured into the Itinerant World with his junior brother, Kang Yimo.

At that time, the Hulu caused chaos in the Central Plains, and the world was unstable.

He Yichong felt that educated people should take it upon themselves to maintain the stability and safety of the country and its people.

However, Kang Yimo thought that as members of the Itinerant World, they should act heroically and become figures not less significant than those great heroes.

The brothers then had their differences, and they could not convince each other, so they eventually parted ways.

He Yichong joined the military, followed the Great General Hu Yang to fight in the north and the south, made remarkable military achievements, and became a well-known martial expert and Divine Archer in the military.

Later, after General Hu was defeated, the court negotiated peace with the Hulu, but He Yichong did not forget General Hu’s dying wish to ”expel the Hulu.”

He used his status as a martial artist to recruit unique individuals from the Itinerant World, rallied the remnants of the Hu Family Army, and established the Righteous Martial Army, which existed between the government and the martial sects.

He led the Righteous Martial Army on expeditions to the grasslands and achieved multiple victories.

However, due to the corruption of the court, which only desired to survive without restoring the glory of the Tianchao Dynasty,

He Yichong, with only his Righteous Martial Army, truly could not withstand the major trends of the world and ultimately had to retreat from the grasslands, settling in Xiang City, a strategic city required for the Hulu’s advance into the Central Plains.

With him were his wife and daughter.

In his early years of wandering the Itinerant World, before he joined the army, he was a great hero known for his righteousness and helping the needy.

During that time, he met Tian Dan, the only beloved daughter of the Valley Master of Immortal Valley, and they fell in love and eventually married.

Tian Dan was smart and willful, odd and unique. He Yichong was reserved and even a bit dull, but the couple had a very good relationship.

After marriage, they had a daughter, He Tiantian.

Perhaps it was due to establishing a family and career, or perhaps it was because he had witnessed the chaos in the world and the suffering of its people during his travels in the Itinerant World, that He Yichong then conceived the idea of accomplishing something significant.

Being a respected great hero was certainly good.

However, He Yichong also had higher goals: for the country and the people!

Having joined the military and having his own Righteous Martial Army, although He Yichong no longer roamed the Itinerant World, his reputation was extremely high.

Everyone had to respectfully call him ”Hero He.”

His wife, Tian Dan, was also no ordinary woman. Apart from being the Eldest Miss of the Immortal Valley, she had also, by a lucky chance, saved the former Sect Leader of the Beggar Gang.

The more chaotic the world became, the more numerous the disciples of the Beggar Gang, and the Beggar Gang inevitably became the world’s largest sect.

However, the Old Gang Leader lacked any pride or joy; he was a traditional great hero, and while he perhaps lacked a grand national perspective of worrying about the country and the people, he was also aware that the more beggars there were, the more the people suffered.

Unfortunately, those from the Itinerant World were not good at dealing with the government.

Just then, there emerged one ”Hero He,” from the martial community, yet with some connections to the court.

He held military power, and could still obtain food, pay, and arma from the government.

Most importantly, he was genuinely fighting against the Hulu and striving to restore peace to the Central Plains!

After several consultations with the elders of the gang, the Old Gang Leader thought about incorporating the Beggar Gang into the Righteous Martial Army.

However, a portion of the elders in the gang did not agree.

Deep down, they still harbored the thoughts of the Itinerant World, believing that the court belonged to the government, and the Itinerant World to those practicing martial arts.

The government thought that martial artists ”brought chaos under the guise of chivalry,” while the people of the Itinerant World still considered the government to be ineffective and a malevolent force oppressing the good.
