The Golem Mage

”Well, all of that is history now, i know for a fact that in a couple more years, we will have completely surpassed them if they continue down the path they are on,” Damien stated, easing the tension in the air between the teams and Vincent.

As they all returned to watching the game in peace, their focus back on the unfolding battle.

After regaining his composure, Albert ripped off a piece of his cloth and used it to wrap around his severed hand, tightly securing the makeshift bandage to prevent further blood loss.

As he gazed at Beatrice, his previous cheeky and playful attitude vanished, replaced by a focused determination, he stared at her as one would a rival, fully aware of the consequences he faced for his carelessness.

”You have proven yourself worthy of my serious attention, believe me, I have never faced a situation where I would have lost my hand before, and you are the first person who has caused me to come this close, so be prepared,” Albert declared as he took confident steps towards Beatrice.

Flaming runes started to materialize on his skin, visible due to the torn cloth revealing his rune tattoos on his right hand.

Beatrice quickly reacted, dragging her hand downward as she levitated into the air, it appeared as though she was floating, but in reality, she had propelled herself off the ground with her Mana threads to avoid being entangled in the potential movements of Albert and her puppets.

She instinctively understood that Albert was about to summon a powerful spirit equipment set, far beyond a mere low-level one, the fight she thought was coming to a close had suddenly transformed with the spirit equipment added to the fray, and with it, the tides were shifting.

Countless sets of the flaming armor materialized around Albert, clinging to him and merging with his body, fully encasing him in the formidable armor set.

His spirit equipment set consisted of a stylish full-body armor with a flaming pattern and glowing runes, complemented by a gauntlet only on his left hand since his right hand was absent, however, the set did not include a headgear or helmet.

Behind him, a ring of flames floated like an angelic halo, as Beatrice observed him, she sensed a tremendous amount of Mana radiating from his transformed form.

The intensity of the danger was alarmingly high, once Albert completed donning his spirit equipment set, something within him seemed to snap, no longer waiting lazily like he did at the start of the battle, as he dashed towards the human Puppet with a newfound determination.

”Die, you puppet!” Albert exclaimed in anger.

He swiftly swiped his left hand, unleashing a colossal fireball hurtling towards the human Puppet, who promptly raised his flame great sword, intending to use it as a shield against the fiery attack, however, he had underestimated the firepower now coursing through Albert in his fully suited form.

Bang!

Upon contact, the fireball erupted not once, but twice.

The impact sent the human Puppet soaring through the air, defying his expectations, meanwhile, Albert attempted to leap towards Beatrice, but just as he bent his leg to propel himself, the tail of the crocodile Puppet coiled around his leg, lifting him off the ground.

It slammed him forcefully from one spot to another, on the fifth slam, Albert dug his left hand into the ground, so when the crocodile Puppet tried swinging him in the opposite direction, it failed.

With his left hand still anchored to the ground, Albert cast a spell, conjuring a flaming fist to replace his severed right hand, as he extended his arm and unleashed another flaming fist, smashing into the crocodile Puppet and sending it hurtling away.

The tail restraining his legs was released almost instantly, and Albert propelled himself off the ground with his left hand, while regaining his footing.

However, he moved cautiously, slightly wary after the intense struggle.

As a large sword whizzed past his face, he noticed mana threads attached to the sword hilt, and It became evident that Beatrice was using her powers to protect her crocodile puppet from being killed.

However, Albert had anticipated her sneak attack and managed to slightly shift out of position, even though he remained unbalanced, this move made Beatrice question if he had eyes in the back of his head.
