The Golem Mage

Even Mad Dog was taken aback by the striking resemblance between Alec and Rae, however, he refrained from asking any questions when he noticed how completely engrossed Alec was in watching Rae’s every move.

Rae unsheathed his blade and swung it towards the Dragoniac, his movements appeared deliberate and slow, yet something seemed to defy the laws of physics in that very moment, as soon as his slash concluded, a fire wheel materialized from his blade, severing the left hand of the Dragoniac.

Despite the excruciating pain, the Dragoniac didn’t cease its assault, it lunged forward, attempting an unexpected attack to pierce through Rae’s heart with its tail.

But to their surprise, another set of fire wheels appeared beneath Rae’s feet, one black and one red.

This sudden boost caused him to levitate higher and at a greater speed, swinging his blade through the skies, Rae unleashed countless black and red fire wheels towards the Dragoniac, imposing a simple yet devastating barrage.

Alec couldn’t fathom how Rae, without any ostentatious displays, was able to inflict critical injuries upon a Tier 9 life form with such ease, however, just as the array of fire wheels was about to clash with the Dragoniac, the surrounding images fragmented and dissolved.

”Oops, it seems my time is up, we’ll meet again, punk,” Mad Dog remarked as his astral form rapidly disintegrated.

And Alec found himself transported back to his room, awakening from his slumber.

[Assimilated with Mid Tier Spell – Flaming Wheels.]

In that moment, a flood of memories detailing how to execute the spell rushed into Alec’s mind, while the name might sound simple, there were numerous techniques and variations to manifest the flaming wheels, making it a uniquely intricate spell.

From his gained memory collection, Alec realized that the spell was originally created by his father, Rae Blaze, and since his time, no one had been able to execute the flaming wheels quite like he did due to the absence of Hell Flames.

Alec discovered that the variant of black flames he possessed was actually called Hell Flames, and it appeared that he had inherited them, and It wasn’t merely a gift granted by the system; it was an inherent power stemming from his lineage, he had thought only the devourer Bloodline didn’t come from the system but he realized now, that none of his element did, the system was just the connect point for him to awaken them.

And with the assistance of both flames, Alec knew he wouldn’t encounter any difficulties in executing the spell, however, when he attempted to select another spell to synchronize with, he discovered a one-hour cool down timer restricting him, realizing this, he decided to divert his attention elsewhere.

As he removed some things from his space ring, before him lay the Tier 5 cultivation pills refined from the body of the Chronomancer, as well as three random spell cards and three memory balls, these were the spoils he had acquired from the defeat of the Chronomancer.

Alec had contemplated distributing the pills to his team but was wary because most of them had relatively low cultivation and might not be able to harness the pill’s power yet.

But after observing the progress made by those who had taken the initial set of pills, he was confident that Lucas could handle the Tier 5 pills now without any issues. However, he harboured reservations about Pale, Beatrice, and Endrick, so for now, Alec decided to distribute only one Tier 5 cultivation pill to each of them.

Having witnessed the complete defeat of the Crimson Rose Academy, Alec was determined to prevent a similar fate for his team, he wanted them to leave their mark and inflict significant damage on any adversaries they encountered.

To achieve this, he intended to distribute the random spell cards from the Chronomancer, knowing that the Chronomancer was a certified Tier 5 mage with a supreme element, Alec believed that no matter which type of Random spell was released, it would be effective in their hands.

His attention then shifted to the memory balls, Alec had been uncertain about what to expect from them, so he had kept his distance until now.

However, as he gazed at the large, brightly coloured ball, he couldn’t resist raising it in his hand and giving it a light squeeze, suddenly, the ball broke with a resounding bang.

Alec could only watch as a grey smoke rushed into his nose, ears, and eyes, infiltrating his body.

Just like that, he closed his eyes and felt as though he was immersed in a lengthy movie, witnessing the Chronomancer’s performances of Muay Thai martial arts.

After ten minutes immersed in the memories, Alec finally woke up.

Opening his eyes, he promptly stood up and attempted a series of kicks, noticing that his stance and leg movements perfectly mirrored those of the Chronomancer in the Muay Thai martial arts memory.

It felt as though he had seamlessly integrated all the Chronomancer’s experience and knowledge of Muay Thai into his own body, Alec could sense a deep familiarity with every move, fueling his confident execution of the kicks.

His legs moved with incredible speed, blurring with each strike, a smile spread across Alec’s face as he realized the immense usefulness of the memory orbs, eager for further knowledge, he quickly touched the second orb, hoping to gain an equally valuable technique.

However, disappointment washed over him as ten minutes passed and he realized he had only witnessed the flow of the Chronomancer’s Chrono blast technique.

Without control over the time element, Alec considered this knowledge to be somewhat useless for him.

”How the hell is this useful?” Alec muttered in frustration. But he still attempted to follow the flow of the attack, utilizing his earth and flame elements while seeking the same flow as the Chronomancer.

Despite his half-hearted efforts, Alec’s eyes widened in realization that he had made a grave mistake by attempting such a move within his room.

With a deafening bang, a scorching flaming bullet shot forth from his outstretched fingers, effortlessly piercing through the walls and traveling into the adjacent room.

The loud sound quickly caught the attention of Selene and the rest of the team, prompting Selene to spread her mental energy and investigate the source of the massive destruction.

The bullet had already pierced through five rooms, and it was now on the verge of bursting into Lucas’s room, however, just as panic started to grip Lucas , a black crow flew into his room and immediately spat out a swirling black portal.

Selene materialized through the portal, without uttering a word as she swiftly cast a massive, reinforced water barrier around the room.

Lucas could only watch in astonishment as Selene intruded upon his space, it was not until the wall on the left collapsed and the flaming bullet threatened to breach the defense that Lucas comprehended the purpose of Selene’s sudden appearance, and the cause of his panic.

Bang!

The water barrier trembled violently but held its ground, withstanding the impact of the flaming bullet until it lost its power and dissipated.

Selene finally released the water barrier, both she and Lucas turning their attention towards the broken walls and six rooms away.

There, they spotted Alec waving nervously with his left hand and a sheepish smile on his face, his right hand still emitting smoke.

”Hi, I can pay for the damages,” Alec uttered awkwardly, rubbing the back of his head.

Selene raised her eyebrows in confusion, struggling to comprehend what had just happened, as she believed he had gone to bed previously.
