The Golem Mage

[ Pick a Mid Tier Spell to synchronise with]

- Flame Wheels

- Rock Fangs

- Earthen Spikes

- Sandstorm

- Petrify

- Boulder Toss

Alec marvelled at the thorough organization of the spells he had read, however, when he saw Boulder Toss spell, his interest waned, as it seemed redundant to him as he could already achieve something similar by combining his earth mana with gravity manipulation.

On the other hand, spells like Rock Fangs, that was created by his master, and Petrify, which is reputed to be the most challenging Mid Tier spell to master, intrigued Alec.

He sensed that choosing either of those spells would lead to surprising developments.

Nevertheless, he made the decision to synchronize with Flame Wheels first, as it was the only flame-based mid-tier spell on the list, and Alec saw no reason to delay, confirming his choice, the synchronization process began.

[> Synchronizing complete.]

As expected, Alec found himself transported to another realm.

He stood amidst a tranquil atmosphere, with a serene calmness that made him have the feeling of standing atop water, familiar with this situation from the previous synchronization, Alec decided to wait patiently for the appearance of the mage who would guide him further.

To his delight, the mage’s body materialized before him and he was able to remember the mage, however, an unexpected phenomenon occurred—the astral form of the mage froze the moment their gaze met.

Night had fallen, and Selene resumed her responsibility of shielding the team members’ auras, concealing their unusual mana fluctuations.

A genuine smile graced her face as she sensed a surge of power emanating from three distinct sources, even without extending her mental energy to check on them, Selene could accurately predicted the breakthroughs was achieved by Agnes, Knight, and Sophie.

The effectiveness of the pills shared by Alec with his team surpassed even Selene’s expectations as she was witnessing them go through their second awakenings almost they broke through, instantly filled her with pleasant surprise.

Selene’s gaze swept across Pale’s room, taking in the sight of him levitating in the air amidst the presence of unusual dark ice particles.

Unlike the typical blue ice associated with the ice element, this shade appeared different to Selene, however, she decided to let Pale figure it out himself since he seemed to have awakened a variant of ice powers.

The thought crossed her mind that the Ancient Zero clan might want to withdraw him from the War God Academy to personally nurture his new unique abilities.

But she pushed aside these musings, as she hoped that in such a situation, Pale would make the decision that was truly best for him, despite this, Selene sense another burst of Mana fluctuations from both Lucas and Beatrice’s rooms, so she split her Mana energy, directing it towards both rooms.

In Lucas’ room, she observed him floating as he was experiencing a second awakening, not only that, but his aura had completely transformed.

Selene was quick to recognise that he had reached the pinnacle of the Tier 4 Mage Realm, the expression of shock on her face would have been priceless to those who knew her as an arrogant and formidable lady.

Shifting her attention to Beatrice, Selene’s relief washed over her when she realized that her roommate was not undergoing a second awakening or experiencing a breakthrough.

However, doubts began to fill her mind as she had been certain she had sensed an aura of breakthrough from Beatrice’s room, Withdrawing the half strand of mental energy connected to Lucas’ room, Selene redirected it towards Beatrice’s room.

Seeking clarity, Selene desired visual confirmation of the room, An half strand of her mental energy could only detect the primary target and relay feedback without providing images, however, with both half strands connected, she would be able to truly see what was transpiring in Beatrice’s room.

After a few seconds, the both half of mental strand connected, granting Selene visual access to Beatrice’s room.

To her surprise, she discovered Beatrice sitting and channelling the residual energy she had gotten from the cultivation pills towards both her Crocodile puppet and her human Puppet, as she finally noticed where the breakthrough energy came from.

The realization dawned on Selene as to why Beatrice had never managed to surpass the Mid Tier 4 realm, despite her superior talent compared to Lucas.

It was because, after reaching the Mid Tier 4 Mage Realm, Beatrice had chosen to transfer the remaining energy into the bodies of both puppets, refining and pushing them to the next stage, while she remained in the Mid Tier 4 Mage Realm.

At that very moment, both the human puppet and the crocodile puppet were emitting a formidable Tier 5 aura, causing Selene to be taken aback by their unexpected growth.

She felt with there breakthrough, the team now possessed the equivalent of two additional Tier 5 battle forces within their ranks, Beatrice’s ability to elevate their cultivation levels in this manner was due to the fact that the living puppets were connected to her.

However, if Selene ever wanted to upgrade the realm of her spider puppet, she would need to utilize different wooden materials for its construction and overlay a new Tier 5 puppet runes onto its core before it could advance into the Tier 5 realm smoothly.

The process was not as straightforward as the living puppets, since they could cultivate on their own before being turned into a puppet, Beatrice was able to share residual energy from her cultivation into them, making it easier for her to raise the living puppets cultivation level.

The main challenge just lied in rewriting the puppet runes in their consciousness to align with their new Realm, fortunately, Beatrice’s genius in puppetry allowed her to engrave the Tier 5 runes, granting her control over her human puppet and the crocodile puppet, which were now in the Tier 5 realm, despite her status as a Tier 4 Mage.

’Am I hallucinating, or is this really happening?, Just a few days ago, we had a ragtag team comprised mostly of Tier 3s and a handful of Tier 4s. But then everything shifted dramatically when Alec introduced those pills, he must be some kind of saviour, only God knows how he acquired such valuable resources, wait, let me check on him.’

With that thought, Selene projected her mental energy toward Alec’s room, only to discover that he was sound asleep in his bed, she face palmed herself and muttered,

”What was I expecting? This lazy captain I’ve chosen just won’t change anytime soon, I suppose!”
