Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 915: Chapter 925: Planning to Meet Your Brother-in-Law

Shen Qi looked very excited, probably because she knew she was going to her hometown, which made her even happier.

Ever since Shen Qi got together with Zhu Pengfei, An Ran noticed she’s become more cheerful. So, it turns out love really can change a person.

Zhu Pengfei wrapped an arm around Shen Qi’s shoulder and said to An Ran and Lu Yi, ”You all must come visit us at home when the time comes. Don’t be shy.”

An Ran gave him a teasing look, ”Zhu Pengfei, are you planning to meet your future brother-in-law?”

This one sentence made Shen Qi’s face turn red. She slapped Zhu Pengfei’s hand off her shoulder and shot him a glare.

They all knew the place they were headed to was quite remote, but it was only when they hit the road that An Ran realized what ’truly remote’ meant.

They originally planned for a day’s journey, but actually only made it to Yongqing County, the county they were supposed to go to.

By the time they arrived in Yongqing County, the weather had already darkened. The county town wasn’t big, not even comparable to a town in Nan’an, and conditions were very backward. The teacher leading the group found a relatively large hotel in the county to accommodate the students.

Teacher Chen was the other male teacher leading the group. He was older than Teacher Wang and had plenty of experience leading teams to rural areas, serving as the team’s captain this time.

After all the students got off the bus, Teacher Chen first briefed everyone on the precautions, ”The hotel here is like a dormitory, each room can accommodate six to eight people. We will split into two rooms for boys and two rooms for girls. The hotel provides food but if you want to go outside, you must go in groups of three or more and be back by nine o’clock. Alright, dismissed.”

Upon hearing they can go exploring, An Ran got excited, ”Shen Qi, are you still familiar with this county town? Take us around for a tour. After sitting in the car all day, I feel like falling apart.”

Zhu Pengfei, being the lively one, chimed in upon hearing An Ran.

Shen Qi didn’t refuse and smiled as she replied, ”I attended high school in Yongqing County, stayed here for three years. Not only am I familiar, but after being away for a year, I quite miss it. Let’s go, I’ll take you to try the local specialties.”

The four of them informed the teacher and headed out to the streets together.

The county town isn’t large; the main mode of transportation here is an electric tricycle. You wave and hop on, and depending on the distance, they charge from a few yuan to ten or more.

Once outside, Shen Qi hailed a tricycle, then climbed on ahead.

Lu Yi, probably never having ridden such a tricycle, was still examining the structure after Shen Qi and Zhu Pengfei got on.

An Ran nudged him, ”Lu Yi, hurry up and get on.”

Lu Yi snapped out of it, responded, and swung his long leg onto the tricycle, grasping the door frame to leverage himself up. Suddenly, there was a ”clang” sound—his head hit the roof of the vehicle.

Just hearing that sound made An Ran’s head ache for him, while Shen Qi asked worriedly, ”Class rep, are you alright?”

Zhu Pengfei burst into laughter directly, ”My dear Young Master Lu, looks like you really haven’t experienced the life of us poor low peasants. This tricycle’s roof is much lower compared to a car.”

Feeling embarrassed after bumping his head, Lu Yi glared at Zhu Pengfei and said coldly, ”How could Shen Qi fall for someone like you?”

An Ran giggled from behind, ”Indeed, our gentle and kind Shen Qi, how could she be tricked by a dumbass like you, Zhu Pengfei?”

Realizing An Ran and Shen Qi had teamed up to roast him, especially since An Ran shared a dorm with Shen Qi—if she talks bad about him in Shen Qi’s ear daily, it’s intolerable—he refused to stand for it.
