Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 913: Chapter 923: Young Master Lu’s Boldness

Unexpectedly, when his father learned that he was going to participate in this mountain support event with An Ran, he readily agreed and donated a batch of commonly used medicines for the elderly in the name of the Lu Family. As the heir of the Lu Family, another purpose of his participation in this event was to deliver these medicines to the town’s health clinic and distribute them free of charge to the elderly in need.

”Feel relieved now? With me, your old classmate, we can keep each other company on this trip,” Lu Yi said, pulling a pack of beef jerky out of his backpack and handing it over, ”Here you go, did you have breakfast this morning?”

An Ran took the beef jerky and nodded, ”I did. You’re something else; I didn’t even have the nerve to bring snacks. Young Master Lu really has some guts.”

As she spoke, she popped a piece of beef in her mouth and grinned, showing off her small, white teeth.

”You girl, you can’t help but tease me even when there’s food. My backpack is full of snacks, be careful, I might not share them with you,” Lu Yi said, patting his bag in mock threat.

His backpack was indeed filled with many snacks, even though he never ate them. He just knew certain people liked them.

”No, wait, I was wrong,” An Ran quickly backtracked, ”Young Master Lu is a real friend, is that better?”

Lu Yi finally let out a small chuckle, ”Now that’s more like it.”

”Student An Ran, is Student An Ran on this bus?” At the door, Teacher Wang stood on the steps, called into the bus.

An Ran thought they were doing roll call and waved to indicate she was there.

”Student An Ran, please come off the bus, someone is looking for you.” As Teacher Wang spoke, he had already stepped off the bus.

An Ran looked questioningly at Lu Yi, wondering who would be looking for her at this time.

Lu Yi also got up, ”Anyway, we won’t be leaving for a while; I’ll get off and stretch my legs too.”

When Teacher Wang saw An Ran get off the bus, he waved her over, ”Come with me, the principal is waiting for you over there.”

The principal? Could it be that Mu Xingfeng had suddenly changed his mind and didn’t want her to join the event?

At the thought of this possibility, An Ran clenched her small fist and sped up her pace: This man, how dare he go back on his word—knowing his overbearing nature, could he really let her go to the mountains for a month? She had overestimated him. Look, they hadn’t even left yet, and he’s already changed his mind. If he doesn’t let her go, she decided that when she got back, she wouldn’t let him into her bed for a month.

Meanwhile, Mu Xingfeng, who was busy discussing strategy with the Guard Team, sneezed twice in a row and couldn’t help but glance at the air conditioner direction. It was set to a normal 25 degrees.

He raised his hand to check the time. By now, they should be well on their way. Could it be that his little wife was moved by his arrangements?

An Ran nervously followed Teacher Wang to the office and saw that, besides Principal Dai, there were three other people inside: Deputy General Manager of the Wenshan Group, Huo Shaohua, and her two bodyguards, Zhang Liang and Fang Hui.

She had told Zhang Liang and Fang Hui about her plan to support the mountain area during summer vacation. She thought it was a school group activity and a trip to the mountains, so there was no need to bring the two of them along; she let them stay in Nan’an or visit their families.

Now, seeing these two people again, she wondered if Mu Xingfeng was afraid she wouldn’t come back and had sent them to forcibly bring her back?

An Ran, who was already in a bad mood, saw the three of them and her face grew colder. She greeted Principal Dai first. Throughout, Huo Shaohua watched the Young President An with a little cold face, clearly unhappy, a faint smile playing on his lips.
