Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 782: Chapter 795: She is such an Idiot

Old Mr. Mu’s smile grew even wider as he came down from upstairs, ”Ran, did you pick out this brush yourself, or did Xingfeng help you choose it? Or did someone else pick it out for you?”

Though they were all big lan bamboo wolf hair brushes, brushes of the same price had different feels. The brush An Ran gave was of moderate hardness, the brush tip sharp and even, the waist strong, and it felt great in the hand—a clear sign it was chosen by an expert.

”Grandpa, I chose this brush myself,” An Ran answered truthfully. She had some knowledge of calligraphy brushes and didn’t need someone else to help her pick one.

”You know how to write?” Old Mr. Mu’s ”write” referred to calligraphy. Nowadays, not many young people could write calligraphy.

”I’ve learned for a period, but I’m not very good,” An Ran did study calligraphy for a few years. When she returned to the An Family, An Sijia had several extracurricular classes, and An Youcai felt guilty towards his adopted daughter, wanting to enroll her in some classes as well.

Probably Sun Xuehui did not want to see her every weekend, so she agreed but only allowed enrolling in a calligraphy class. The reason was simple; compared to those dance or music classes, calligraphy was the cheapest.

However, An Ran had a great talent for calligraphy. She already had good handwriting, and practicing calligraphy came naturally to her. After three years of study, her writing was better than those who had practiced for over ten years. Her calligraphy teacher praised her constantly.

Upon hearing this, Old Mr. Mu was even more satisfied, ”Good, show me your writing later.”

”Alright, old man, sit down and eat. The children are hungry,” Grandma Mu urged from the side, then asked the three of them, ”Why didn’t you take a plane back? Junyang must be tired driving all the way. Come sit down and eat more.”

”Brother Yang wanted to test his endurance, so he drove us all the way back,” Xiao Xiao relayed Lin Junyang’s words to the Mu Family.

Lin Junyang picked up some food with his chopsticks and stuffed it directly into Xiao Xiao’s mouth, ”Eat your meal properly, nobody treats you as a mute.”

Who did he painstakingly drive long-distance for? This guy actually acted like he had taken advantage of the situation.

Xiao Xiao chewed a couple of bites instinctively, and the next second she jumped up, ”So spicy, so spicy...”

Saying that, she dashed towards the bathroom.

The people at the table looked at Xiao Xiao heading to the bathroom, then at Lin Junyang, Mu Wanxin had her mouth wide open, enough to fit an egg.

Lin Junyang realized he was at the Mu Family’s dining table, and awkwardly cleared his throat, ”Don’t worry about her, she’s just a fool.”

”Xiao Xiao is straightforward and lively. As an old woman, I think she’s quite adorable,” Grandma Mu said with a chuckle, her eyes twinkling.

After this initial shock, Xiao Xiao didn’t say another word for the rest of the meal, quietly eating dinner.

During the meal, the Mu Family occasionally asked An Ran and Mu Xingfeng about their situation in Nan’an. They learned that An Ran had lived with the Guard Team for a while, and Grandma Mu’s face was full of affection. He Yushu kept nodding.

Previously, they always felt the young girl seemed a bit distant with their son (grandson). She was probably just shy. Now, hearing that An Ran had stayed with the Guard Team, if it weren’t for her still being in school, she might have followed Mu Xingfeng all the time. Realizing this, they felt completely at ease.

After dinner, Lin Junyang said his goodbyes and headed home. Before leaving, he glanced at the sofa corner where Xiao Xiao was sitting, chatting with Big Sister Mu Wanxin, and then pulled his gaze away.
