Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 758: Chapter 771: The Opportunity to Show Off

”So, at the board meeting, I made some decisions that might cause some shareholders to sell or transfer their shares in the near future. Can you help me buy those shares?”

As she spoke, An Ran blinked her big eyes with a cute, pleading expression, which made Mu Xingfeng laugh.

”Didn’t my wife already say that you don’t care about having more shares? Your husband would gladly buy up all the shares of Wenshan Group for you. Since you said that, how could I not buy them?”

”Exactly right, I can’t let others laugh at us, right?” An Ran nodded in agreement, then suddenly her eyes narrowed. ”Wait a minute, husband, how did you know what I said in the board meeting?”

Mu Xingfeng couldn’t hold it in any longer and hugged her tightly. ”My silly girl, your husband is very happy that you would let him have a chance to show off. Not to mention the remaining shares of Wenshan Group, even if you bragged outside that your husband could send you to the sky, I’d get a spaceship and send you up there. Come on, for dinner tonight, your husband will cook to celebrate our Mr. An’s triumphant first victory.”

”Really? But can we eat what you cook?” An Ran followed behind Mu Xingfeng as they both ran into the kitchen.

Once in the kitchen, she saw that Mu Xingfeng had already prepared the ingredients, with the vegetables and meat already cut, leaving only the cooking part.

Mu Xingfeng rolled up his sleeves and picked up the spatula. ”Wife, the usual routine, you command, and your husband will charge into battle.”

”Alright, Captain Mu, prepare to start the fire.”

...

When the stock market opened on Monday, unsurprisingly, Wenshan Holding began trading at -6%. Within the first three minutes of the market opening, there was a brief struggle upward to -2%, but then it plummeted straight towards the limit down price.

An Ran took a quick glance at the market through her phone under the desk and then tossed the phone into the desk hole, resting her chin on her hand while listening to the teacher’s lecture.

When the class bell rang, Lu Yi tugged at her sleeve and asked in a low voice, ”What’s going on?”

Seeing that An Ran didn’t understand, he showed her the stock market trends on his phone. Wenshan Holding had just touched the limit down price and, though it wasn’t at the limit anymore, it was still struggling barely above it.

An Ran understood. Although her becoming the largest shareholder of Wenshan Group wasn’t publicly announced, with the Lu Family’s connections, Lu Yi must have found out.

An Ran shrugged and pretended to be regretful, ”As you can see, I’m almost playing Wenshan to death.”

”Didn’t Instructor Mu help you?” It’s a massive conglomerate, and now it suddenly changes hands to a young girl with no social experience; it’s impossible for her to control those directors and executives.

”Of course he did. Instructor Mu said to play with it however I like, and if it goes down, he’ll just sell it to give me pocket money,” An Ran stuck out her tongue and mimicked Mu Xingfeng’s words.

”How will there be any pocket money if it goes down?” Lu Yi gave her a disdainful look. This sudden display of affection was really unexpected. ”Do you need my help? Although the Lu Family and the Guo Family haven’t had any business dealings before, if the Lu Family steps in, we can still pull Wenshan back up.”

Ever since Lu Yi learned that Mu Xingfeng and An Ran were married, he had completely let go. Now he feels even more at ease being with An Ran, and they’ve become good friends who can talk about anything

For An Ran, Lu Yi is truly a nice person. Since she entered Nan University, he has helped her many times. Now that their relationship is clear, she doesn’t have as many reservations anymore.
