Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 760: Chapter 773: Does This Count as Public Funds Expenditure?

Jin Weiliang arranged to meet An Ran at a private restaurant near Nan’an University. The entrance of the restaurant was inconspicuous, with ordinary gray brick walls, an archway typical of the south, and two large red lanterns swaying gently in the breeze on either side of the door.

Zhang Liang parked the car at the entrance and Fang Hui followed An Ran out of the car.

A waiter led the two directly to a private room.

Though the entrance appeared ordinary, the inside was a different world.

Behind the main door was a series of connected courtyards in a traditional style, complete with pavilions, small bridges over flowing streams, rock gardens, and lotus ponds.

After turning a long corridor, they could see from a distance that Jin Weiliang and Huo Shaohua were already waiting at the door of the private room.

An Ran did not expect Huo Shaohua to be there, so it was no wonder that Jin Weiliang, who had just come to Nan’an a few days ago, could find such a good place.

”Mr. An, this way please,” Jin Weiliang said politely upon seeing An Ran approach.

An Ran stepped inside and saw Huo Shaohua standing by and smiled, ”Why do I only see Vice President Huo? Where is Vice President Sun? Don’t tell me the company has changed shareholders, the stock price has plummeted, and customers are unsettled, leaving Vice President Sun too busy to even have lunch?”

Huo Shaohua smiled and nodded, ”Mr. An, you’re joking. With you and President Jin overseeing things, even if the stock price falls for three more days, the company won’t face any major issues.”

He was one of Guo Wenshan’s old subordinates. After graduating, he had joined Wenshan Group and had been working and fighting alongside Guo Wenshan ever since. He had seen the steady growth of Wenshan Group firsthand. Though he didn’t know why President Guo decided to transfer Wenshan Group to the young woman in front of him, his loyalty to Wenshan Group remained unchanged.

When Guo Wenshan decided to transfer the shares, he personally approached him and requested that he support Wenshan to the fullest, no matter who was in charge.

He agreed and upheld his promise. What he hadn’t expected was that Wenshan Group would advance further under the leadership of this young woman.

What surprised him more was the trust this girl and the new President had placed in him and their handling of Sun Bo.

As the group entered the private room and waited for the food, Jin Weiliang began reporting the company’s recent situation to An Ran.

It turned out that since An Ran announced Jin Weiliang’s appointment as President at the board meeting, some senior executives centered around Sun Bo attempted to use a strike to pressure Jin Weiliang, but were directly dismissed by him.

Meanwhile, Sun Bo had taken three days off work under the pretense of taking care of Cui Deqin. Jin Weiliang had already removed him from his position and had Huo Shaohua take over Sun Bo’s responsibilities entirely.

The stock market was volatile for three days. On the second day, Cui Deqin started to sell a large amount of his stocks. At the same time, there was activity from President Qi and President Zhao, and the Mu Family also started intervening on the first day. While maintaining a low stock price, they bought a large number of Wenshan shares. The latest news was that the Mu Family’s shares had reached 15%, making them the second largest shareholder of Wenshan Group.

An Ran listened to Jin Weiliang’s report while tasting the dishes, maintaining a casual and relaxed demeanor, occasionally commenting on the food, and encouraging President Jin and Vice President Huo to eat while they talked.

The two men, both in their forties, genuinely liked and indulged this young woman from the bottom of their hearts, yet they had no intention of underestimating her.

”Mr. An, feel free to order anything else you’d like to eat. You’re still growing, so eat more,” Jin Weiliang said as he finished reporting the company’s status and accompanied An Ran in eating.

”President Jin, would this count as using public funds for personal expenses?” An Ran asked with her cheeks puffed out, her big eyes squinting, looking indescribably cute.
