Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 773: Chapter 786: You’re Getting Married?

”Don’t worry, I have some friends in Imperial City, and I’ve heard about Young Master Mu’s engagement,” Song Yu explained, noticing that Ranran was startled. ”Young Master Mu is a good man, you’ve got great taste.”

”Manager Song, you’re kidding. Can I say that he’s blind for liking me?” Ranran thought that for someone as outstanding as Mu Xingfeng to take a fancy to her, he must be somewhat blind.

Song Yu was amused by her, it was the first time he’d heard a girl speak about herself like that. But it was exactly because of Ranran’s personality that he liked her even more. ”You’re actually very good too. Never underestimate yourself. You must trust Young Master Mu’s judgment. Alright, I’m wishing you a happy engagement in advance. I have to go now.”

Song Yu nodded to Ranran again and walked towards the back.

In the blink of an eye, the end of the month arrived. The engagement date was getting closer, and Ranran often felt down. This time Mu Xingfeng’s sealed training was supposed to last a week, but it’s been almost two weeks with no news at all.

”Ranran, what are you dazing off for?” After the class bell rang, Xiao Xiao walked over and waved a hand in front of Ranran, who had dazed off an entire class.

”Xiao Xiao, do you think I have pre-wedding jitters?” Ranran raised her head, blinking her big eyes aggrievedly.

Her voice wasn’t loud, but it was enough for the desk mate next to her to hear.

”Are you getting married?” Lu Yi raised his head from his book and asked.

Ranran was surprised by Lu Yi’s sharp ears and quickly gestured for him to be quiet, ”Keep your voice down.”

After confirming that there was no one else around, she proudly said, ”I got married ages ago, alright? We got our certificate in January.”

”Alright, stop showing off. We know you and Instructor Mu are legally bound,” Lu Yi said disdainfully. Ever since becoming desk mates, he often got force-fed dog food by her. He somewhat regretted confessing to her; otherwise, he wouldn’t be the only outsider who knew they were married and constantly fed dog food.

”Since you guys got registered ages ago, what was that about pre-wedding jitters?” Lu Yi asked again.

Speaking of this, Ranran lay down on the desk. ”It’s not really about getting married. Instructor Mu said he wanted to have an engagement ceremony to announce our relationship in Imperial City so that others won’t bully me.”

Lu Yi twitched his mouth. With her being the biggest shareholder of Wenshan Group, who would dare to bully her?

”Alright, don’t look so gloomy. Shouldn’t you be welcoming Instructor Mu with enthusiasm, happily and beautifully completing the most wonderful moment in your life? By the way, did you request leave? How about we go together?” Xiao Xiao nudged her.

”Ah, I forgot to ask for leave. It’s already the 25th, this is bad, this is bad. Xiao Xiao, quick, let’s find Tang.” Ranran grabbed Xiao Xiao’s hand and rushed out of the door.

Lu Yi shook his head helplessly, helping her pack her school bag.

Within two or three minutes, Ranran and Xiao Xiao came back to the classroom one after another. By this time, most of the people in the classroom had left. Lu Yi was still at his seat reading. Seeing them return, he asked, surprised, ”So quick? Couldn’t find Tang?”

Ranran shook her head and sat down gloomily. ”Instructor Mu went on a last-minute mission.”

”Ranran, don’t worry. Maybe Instructor Mu will be back in two days,” Xiao Xiao comforted her.

As soon as they stepped out of the teaching building, Ranran received a call from Lin Junyang. Originally, he thought Mu Xingfeng’s sealed training had ended, and they were discussing returning together to Imperial City.

The training did end, but as soon as Mu Xingfeng finished it, he received a mission. He hadn’t even had the chance to return to the troops before leaving again.

This time, Lin Junyang didn’t know the specifics of the task or when they would return. Before departing, Mu Xingfeng instructed Lin Junyang to take them back to Imperial City first, and he would join them after completing the mission.

Xiao Xiao knew that although Ranran didn’t say it, she was eagerly looking forward to the engagement ceremony with Mu Xingfeng. No girl wouldn’t want to announce their love to the world and receive everyone’s blessings.

”Yeah, did you request leave? How about I help you with the leave request? You can go back to Imperial City with Xiao Xiao first. Maybe tomorrow when you wake up, Instructor Mu will be in Imperial City,” Lu Yi comforted.

Annoyed, Ranran scratched her head and slapped her hands on the desk, looking at Xiao Xiao then Lu Yi, finally forcing a smile, ”Alright, no need to persuade me. Actually, I’m not really desperate for an engagement ceremony with Instructor Mu. If he can’t make it for the engagement ceremony, I’d feel relieved. This hidden marriage isn’t bad. It’s just that he suddenly went on a mission. I’m just a bit worried.”
