Peerless Medical Emperor

When Chen Qingdi returned to Medical God Island, he found a beautiful woman in her late twenties waiting for him.

The woman was dressed in the native attire of the Outer Island, and her every move exuded an unparalleled elegance.

She approached Chen Qingdi and bowed respectfully.

”Mr. Chen, I am Yamaguchi Seiko, wife of Outer Island councilman Yamaguchi Juefu. My husband has contracted a strange illness. We’ve consulted many doctors, but none could cure him. I heard that the Lord Imperial Physician’s medical skills are profound, so I’ve come to seek treatment.”

Chen Qingdi nodded. ”I’ve heard you have a Divine Physician on the Outer Island named Qiushui Great God. I greatly admire some of her theories. Why not seek her help instead of coming to me?”

Yamaguchi Seiko said respectfully,

”Qiushui Ji cannot cure this illness. I have a letter of recommendation from her. Please, take a look.”

Chen Qingdi knew that ”Ji” was an honorific used in her country for young, beautiful women, much like how ”Miss” was used in formal situations in the Dragon Country.

However, Chen Qingdi didn’t point this out. Instead, he shook his head.

”I don’t treat people from the Outer Island. You should leave.”

Yamaguchi Seiko was taken aback. ”Lord Divine Physician, we people of the Outer Island are also people of this world. All lives are equal. Why do you treat us differently?”

Chen Qingdi said grimly, ”I am a descendant of the Dragon Country. Your Outer Island also treated our ancestors from the Dragon Country differently. From that day on, I swore an oath to never treat anyone from the Outer Island!”

Yamaguchi Seiko’s beautiful face turned pale as she argued, ”Lord Divine Physician, I think you’re being too narrow-minded. This kind of blind vengefulness is wrong. Everyone is trying to maintain peace now, and medicine knows no borders. You can’t refuse to treat us just because we’re from the Outer Island. That’s unfair to us!”

Chen Qingdi shook his head.

”I don’t care if it’s fair to the Outer Island. What I do know is that this is the fairest thing for the Dragon Country!”

The island’s Second Elder, Miki Takeshi, stepped forward.

”My lord, I am also a descendant of people from the Outer Island, but I have been unfailingly loyal to you and have never done anything wrong. I wonder if my years of meritorious service can be exchanged for a single chance for Yamaguchi Juefu?”

Chen Qingdi’s expression turned quite ugly. ”Second Elder, you’re the one who introduced this so-called Yamaguchi Seiko, aren’t you?”

The Second Elder admitted it truthfully.

”My grandnephew, Miki Aoyi, is the son-in-law of the Yamaguchi Clan!”

Chen Qingdi remembered that when he was studying under his master on the island, the Second Elder had personally taught him many unique Western medical techniques.

Therefore, he couldn’t refuse the Second Elder’s request. He sighed.

”Alright, Second Elder, I’ll give you face this time. If he were a commoner on the island, I would save him regardless of his origin. Of course, the consultation fee must be paid in full, not a cent less.”

Yamaguchi Seiko said very honestly, ”My husband is a councilman!”

Chen Qingdi nodded. ”If he’s a councilman, as long as his ancestors did not participate in the war of aggression against the Dragon Country, I can treat him!”

Hearing this condition, Yamaguchi Seiko shook her head.

”My father-in-law, Yamaguchi Jitarō, was a major in the Imperial Army that invaded the Dragon Country! But my husband has always been anti-war! And he has never worshipped the ghosts in that shrine!”

”There’s one last condition. If your husband has never supported dumping contaminated water into the ocean, I can also treat him!”

Yamaguchi Seiko’s beautiful face grew pale, her eyes filled with despair. She knelt at Chen Qingdi’s feet and begged.

”My lord, can’t you relax the conditions a little? It’s true that my husband supported dumping the contaminated water into the ocean, but he’s old now. Even if you save him, he won’t have much longer to live. Can’t you show mercy and save him?”

CRACK! Chen Qingdi slammed his hand down, shattering a table.

”I will never save trash like that! Don’t even bring him to my island. Get out!”

Because he was the Island Master, everyone obeyed his orders. The island’s guards seized Yamaguchi Seiko and started to drag her out.

Yamaguchi Seiko shouted as she was being taken away.

”I’ll give you any amount of money! I’m begging you, please save my husband!”

The Second Elder also pleaded, ”Please, my lord, show some leniency!”

Chen Qingdi flicked his sleeve. ”Out of respect for the Second Elder, don’t make things difficult for them. Escort them to their ship and let them leave the island freely.”

The security personnel of Medical God Island were all highly professional. They would never manhandle a helpless woman, so they simply escorted them to their own ship and allowed them to depart.

Just then, a piece of information suddenly exploded online.

Yamaguchi Juefu had offered one billion US Dollars for Chen Qingdi’s head!

Chen Qingdi immediately contacted his people back in the country, ordering them to send men to his villa to protect his family, and also to Jinshan Group to protect Shen Mingyue.

He also posted a message online.

”Any bounty hunter organization that dares to accept this contract will be blacklisted by Medical God Island. Any member of that organization who falls ill will receive no treatment whatsoever!”

As soon as this message was posted, the entire dark web was in an uproar.

Immediately, a man named Hans called.

”Lord Divine Physician, that little devil from the Outer Island, Yamaguchi Yūrō, called me. He wanted to hire me to kill you, but I refused. I would never cause trouble for you over a bounty!”

Chen Qingdi replied, ”Mr. Hans, I appreciate the sentiment!”

”Do you need us to capture that Yamaguchi Yūrō for you?”

Chen Qingdi declined his kind offer.

Just then, Wing God Island received more than a dozen phone calls from top-ranking assassins on the dark web.

They all immediately declared that they were drawing a clear line between themselves and the people of the Outer Island, and would absolutely not accept the mission to assassinate the Lord Divine Physician.

Chen Qingdi posted a unified status update on his account.

”Thank you to all my friends on the dark web for your support. I will be holding a reception on March 3rd and invite all of you to attend on Medical God Island!”

Below this post, many top-ranking masters from the dark web replied, saying they would definitely come.

The news that Chen Qingdi was holding a reception on Medical God Island spread throughout the underworld.

The Dragon Country was the first to respond, sending the two War Gods, Wu Tu and Ji Earth, to attend.

The two were a married couple, and their Martial Arts skills had reached the pinnacle of perfection.

Their arrival on the island was exceptionally eye-catching. The first thing they did was convey the Divine King’s respects to the Divine Physician.

Chen Qingdi said respectfully, ”The Divine King is too kind. I am but a humble doctor. How could I trouble the Divine King to send his greetings!”

In truth, the Divine King of the Dragon Country held a higher status than Chen Qingdi.

The latter had once served as his personal physician, which was why he was also called the Emperor’s Physician.

At that moment, representatives sent from all over the world to attend the reception had arrived. Among them, the number one ranked assassin, Mark, stood up and said,

”I hear some blind young punk posted a mission on the dark web to assassinate the Lord Divine Physician. I, Mark, will be the first to declare that I will not rest under the same sky as this whelp! Whoever dares to harm the Lord Divine Physician, I’ll kill their entire family!”
