Chapter 1388: Chapter 10: Little Special Agent (Update 4)

Inside the grand theater, at the entrance, Su Xiao sat in the waiting seats by the wall, holding a book in his hand, with a mechanical eye floating above him, closely attached to the corner of the ceiling.

Bu Bu Wang wasn’t here now; if he were, the mission difficulty would at least reduce by 20%.

Su Xiao seemed to be reading a book, but in reality, he was observing the crowd at the ticket counter. The Eye of the Apostle had detection functions, usable every 5 minutes without consumption, though multiple uses would lead to reduced durability of the equipment, so it’s not entirely without cost.

The pages of the book in Su Xiao’s hand contained a tablet computer, displaying images transmitted by the Eye of the Apostle.

Every person buying a ticket would be marked by the Eye of the Apostle; if encountering a suspicious target, Su Xiao would use the Eye of the Apostle to investigate the person’s information.

Su Xiao was using the method of elimination. The spy and traitor meeting tonight were likely to have bought tickets in advance. If so, most of the audience could be ruled out.

Regarding whether they would meet in the screening room, there’s a more than 60% chance they’d meet there, choosing a theater with huge crowds, the purpose simply being to use the crowd for cover.

Marking, observing, half an hour later, Su Xiao began to feel visual fatigue. Looking for someone wasn’t an easy task; from this, one could imagine how hard it was for those Contractors searching for World Source worldwide. In War World, their contribution was at least 30% of the victory.

Su Xiao moved his neck and looked towards the theater entrance, as three men and one woman pushed the door open and entered. From their conduct and demeanor, they weren’t together.

Su Xiao was about to move his gaze when his eyes met with a certain person.

second, 2 seconds, 3 seconds, the bald middle-aged man who was looking at Su Xiao moved his eyes.

Su Xiao had a personal habit; when he made eye contact with someone, there wouldn’t be hostility in his eyes, but he also never moved his gaze away first, a method to judge if the other had hostility, with a success rate of over half.

After a few seconds of moving his gaze, the bald man glanced at Su Xiao out of the corner of his eye, only to find that Su Xiao was still watching him.

Their gaze met again; the bald middle-aged man mumbled something under his breath, seeming like an expletive.

Su Xiao moved his gaze to the book in his hand. Thirty seconds later, the middle-aged man looked at Su Xiao through the mirror surface of a pillar. Seeing that Su Xiao wasn’t staring at him anymore, the middle-aged man secretly breathed a sigh of relief, sat down in the entrance area, waiting for the next film to start, his gaze occasionally, intentionally, or unintentionally glanced at Su Xiao, but he was very cautious, never looking directly at Su Xiao.

”1, 2, 3, 4.”

Su Xiao’s timer jumped, eventually displaying a subtle vibration,

Not long after, a little boy with a duckbill cap and a bow tie ran towards Su Xiao.

”Where’s my candy.”

The little boy had a bit of a brat temperament, roughly snatching the book from Su Xiao’s hand, leaving Su Xiao looking slightly ’helpless’.

”I’ll buy later; there’s still half an hour before it starts. What’s the rush?”

”No, I won’t.”

The brat’s voice increased in pitch, angrily staring at Su Xiao.

”Alright.”

Su Xiao stood up, leading the brat towards the front gate of the theater, ’fish’ already caught, a little actor making his debut helping him escape.

After leaving the grand theater, Su Xiao looped around to a small alley, took out 1000 Rangke, handing it to the little boy.

”Sir, I don’t need the reward.”

The little boy pressed down on the duckbill cap, grinning, revealing two canine teeth, his eyes having a look that defied his age.

”Take it when given.”

”But if Mr. Leizong finds out...”

The little boy, no, the little agent, seemed a bit awkward, but those smart eyes kept glancing at the ten Rangke in Su Xiao’s hand, with this money, he could do many things, like improving the food for the hundreds of brothers and sisters in the orphanage.

This is Geya Alliance; capable people, even if only ten years old, can be heavily utilized.

”5, 4, 1.”

Su Xiao’s countdown jumped from 4 straight to 1, the little agent raised his hand.

”Thank you, officer.”

The little agent snatched the ten Rangke and grinned at Su Xiao, showing his teeth.

”Tell Leizong I owe him a favor.”

”Mm.”

The little agent ran off, to inform the other agents around to retreat.

Leizong wasn’t simply a diplomat; when Skardine blew off his assistant’s head with a shot before, Leizong didn’t even blink, instead pulling out a handkerchief to cover his mouth and nose. This isn’t something an ordinary person can do.

Amidst deafening gunfire, a large splatter of blood, even a trained ordinary soldier would instinctively blink or stand, yet Leizong remained calm, later even nauseating Skardine who had just killed.

Lai Yin served as a diplomat and leader of an Intelligence Organization named Los Zhi’s Eye, its influence covering Hot City and four nearby major cities.

Su Xiao could find the traitor from the Geya Alliance thanks to the fourteen agents from nearby branches.

Leizong was willing to dispatch agents because Su Xiao used his authority, which infuriated Leizong, he swore if this matter wasn’t beneficial to the Alliance, he would send Su Xiao back to Cakbeck Prison within half a month.

Eventually, Leizong pinched his nose and dispatched fourteen agents, ten being kids, reversing to annoy Su Xiao, being petty and retaliatory, typical of Leizong’s personality trait.

In the alley, Su Xiao stuck a transparent face mask on his face, changing his appearance subtly. The traitor had already seen him, so to enter the grand theater with his original appearance, he would need to bring the little agent, which is too troublesome.

After changing clothes, Su Xiao waited in the alley for over twenty minutes, then headed straight to the grand theater.

Passing through the entrance, after the ticket check, Su Xiao entered the screening room; Jiegang Grand Theater had six screening rooms, due to the expensive projection equipment, each screening room had over 400 people, the viewing experience in the back row was imaginable.

Su Xiao bought twenty tickets, regardless of which screening room the target was in, he could enter.

The movie would start at 10:20, attendees gradually arrived at their seats, the screening room was brightly lit, and Su Xiao casually chose a seat.

Three mechanical beetles appeared in Su Xiao’s hand, he tossed them under the seat, and stuck electrode patches on his temple.

A virtual screen invisible from the outside appeared before Su Xiao’s left eye, as he used a micro remote device to control the black beetles under the seats.

Quickly, the three beetles crawled under a seat, entering standby mode.

The middle-aged man who locked eyes with Su Xiao was sitting on the seat. After detection by the Eye of the Apostle, Su Xiao confirmed he was the traitor.

The middle-aged man’s name was Duke, and his physical attributes were slightly stronger than ordinary people. His profile didn’t mark him as a traitor, but a certain ability exposed him, a passive ability named ’Dawn Goddess’s Blessing’, long-term increased Luck Attributes and ensured his health.

A civilian from Geya Alliance would worship the Morning Light Goddess? And receive her blessings? Clearly, this was the benefit of betraying Geya Alliance, luck, and health.

Su Xiao didn’t immediately capture the traitor; he waited for him to meet with the spy from Sun Kingdom. Once they met, Su Xiao still wouldn’t act but instead tracked them, striving to find the lead.
