Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

But you should know, she is also one of the Divine who betrayed the world.

So in theory, she ought to count as your enemy, or rather, an enemy of the world.”

Looking at the goddess who was staring at her, Chadite nodded.

”We know.”

The goddess smiled and nodded, then continued.

”This world must have a sun and a moon, to keep this already fragile world turning, so it doesn’t collapse in an instant.

Ollie Lusping and the others managed to get hold of the most troublesome thing to secure—the sun—but they had no moon. With no other way, she came to me.

She and I have a bit of a connection, and my power is decent.

So every so often, I project my figure and my power into this world from time to time, to stabilize the world’s operation.”

Hearing this, Chadite nodded in sudden realization. So that’s how it was.

No wonder the moon wasn’t always there at night, yet almost every two or three days it would appear once.

”But now the moon that once betrayed and fled has returned. Some time ago, your Four Gods clashed with these traitors.

After that, these betraying Divine may begin to affect this world, and the moon that has manifested is one of them.”

Hearing this, Chadite frowned.

She did know about the previous clash, because of Alka.

But she hadn’t known that these betraying Divine were actually going to return to this world, and clearly not with good intentions.

According to the records of history They had seen, they might well intend to destroy this world completely.

Because Chadite is the first existence to know how to repair the world, all that knowledge still remains in her mind.

For those former lives, the world being repaired does not bring even the tiniest benefit.

Conflict is inevitable.

They had even foreseen during their original rehearsal that these Divine would not sit and wait for death, they just hadn’t expected them to strike so soon.

”It’s a pity. I’m not the moon of your world, so I can’t help you much.

Although I can’t help the people of this world, there is one exception—you, Chadite. You are someone I can help.”

This Moon Goddess held Chadite’s hand and looked at her as she spoke.

”Me?”

”That’s right. Your learning and use of imitative power is all inherited from my power, so I can help you—but only you.”

As she spoke, she said directly, ”Place your faith in me, become my Saintess in this world. That way, even from very far away, my power will be able to protect you.

Protect you from interference and harm by the moon of your world.”

Chadite’s power was being controlled and unusable precisely because the former moon had returned; it was a supreme suppressive force. Naturally, it could easily target Chadite, making her unable to exert her own power at all.

The Moon God before her, however, could provide Chadite with a protective shield, allowing her to use her power of her own will, without fear of being suppressed or even harmed by the moon’s power in the sky.

”But...” Hearing this, Chadite immediately hesitated.

After all, she was the Saintess of the Holy Mother.

And her faith in the Holy Mother was still very firm, not to mention that the Holy Mother was so kind.

”Don’t worry about Ollie Lusping. She owes me a huge favor, and it’s not like I’m snatching you away.

I only want to help you. You are so perfectly aligned with the moon. I have always been watching you. To see you wounded, unable even to use the moon’s power, would make me very sad.”

The Moon Goddess smiled as she looked at Chadite and spoke.

Then, the voice of the Holy Mother sounded in Chadite’s mind.

She told Chadite not to mind it, to place her faith in the goddess before her.

After that, the goddess before her continued, ”You are very gifted. You may be able to become the new moon of this world, a nascent moon.

In that case, Ollie Lusping would be very willing, and I would be able to relax a little. I will help you.”

Hearing this.

Chadite looked at her, then nodded.

The goddess before her smiled faintly.

Before Chadite could say anything, the Mirror Surface flipped, sending the two of them back to the normal world, where They reappeared before everyone.

Then the illusory figure of the goddess smiled and ruffled Chadite’s hair, touching those now glowing strands, softened to almost the same hue as her own hair, and lightly kissed Chadite’s forehead.

Why do all these goddesses like to kiss the forehead to bestow blessings?

Alka couldn’t help thinking.

The Flower Fairy did it, the Holy Mother did it, and this nameless Moon Goddess from another world did it as well.

Is this some standardized method?

He couldn’t figure it out.

The blessing given by the Holy Mother had not dissipated. The lunar mark left by the Pale Moon on Chadite’s face grew pure white and faintly luminous.

Clearly, this goddess’s blessing had imprinted itself upon her.

Then the goddess’s figure faded away.

Even the white moon in the sky vanished along with her.

Only the blue moon that had once belonged to this world remained.

Chadite looked at her own hands, then reached up to pinch her cheek. The pure white moonlight once more surfaced from her hands—this time, nothing interfered with her command of her own power.

Just as that Moon Goddess had said.

From here on, Angelica would no longer be able to affect her.

She raised her head to look at Alka; Alka smiled and stared at her.

However, this Moon Goddess had also brought a piece of bad news.

That was that the once-betraying gods had returned. Although they could not directly invade this world, they could still use their power to disrupt it.

Because their power itself originated from this world, even from outside the world their interference with it came easily.

Just like this goddess Angelica.

She had easily projected her own moon’s form into the sky, letting her moonlight affect Chadite’s use of the moon’s power.

There are so many betraying Divine.

Even if only a small portion has come, it is the very strongest portion, and their impact on the world is extremely outrageous.

These betraying gods have arrived, while the Four Gods who guard the world are being constrained.

From within, there is also a powerful counterattack rising out of the Abyss.

It can now be said to be a state of complete internal and external crisis.

One careless misstep, and this world may be destroyed.

Thinking of this, Alka’s expression quietly darkened again.

The main thing was that They had absolutely no way to intervene; in true high-tier battles, They simply couldn’t contribute any strength.

”Increase our speed.”

That counted as about the only thing They could do.

And They had no idea whether the scene at their next destination would be like the one shown in the Revelation.
