Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

The architectural complex of Ascension Peak stretched all the way to the mountainside.

The Great Cathedral of the Holy Mother Church was also located in this area, on a wide platform in a recessed area of the peak.

The cathedral was built here, surrounded on both sides and below by golden wheat fields.

The terrain in this section of the mountainside is very gentle, at most considered a slope.

One could see that those planting the wheat fields were not farmers, but some of the church’s followers, even Defender Knights and Priests.

A statue of the Holy Mother stood in front of the church, situated at the edge of the wheat fields.

Under the sunlight, it emitted golden radiance, with beams of sunlight shining through past the statue onto the fields.

A knight in heavy armor stood outside the church, looking over the golden wheat fields below from the various high and low platforms.

Feeling the breeze coming from the wheat fields.

A young priest accompanied him.

”What’s the situation with the World Scar?” the middle-aged knight asked.

Upon hearing this, the young priest shook his head, his expression looking very poor: ”Not good at all, the number of demons far surpasses the total we dealt with before.

This isn’t the main issue, the main problem is that there are many powerful demons. The high-level combat forces gathered at the World Scar are somewhat stretched thin.”

Upon hearing this, the middle-aged knight nodded slightly, sighing softly.

”Is there no good news?”

”Good news?” The young priest shook his head.

”There’s even worse news. Due to the outbreak of abyssal essence and the announcement from the Four Gods, cult groups are springing up everywhere in the Endless Sea.

Also, many pirates that weren’t completely exterminated before seem to have agreed upon targeting those supply ships.

We need a large number of personnel to support the World Scar, but there aren’t enough forces to eradicate these pirates.”

The middle-aged knight fell silent upon hearing this.

”Moreover, the frontline intelligence is already a month old; the latest information will probably arrive tomorrow.

Based on previous estimates, it might not be very good, you should prepare psychologically.”

”Why do I have to stay in this place? Can’t I go to the frontline to support?”

”Both the Seed of Life and the personnel from the Holy Machine Church have gone to provide support. If you go as well, who will defend this island if it’s attacked?

Ascension Peak is a vital supply island. The islands linked by the surrounding island chain provide an endless supply of food and mineral resources.

This is also the trade hub of so many surrounding regions; nothing can go wrong here.”

The reason why well-known Landmark Island like Ascension Peak is famous is naturally due to dense resources or excellent location.

This results in very few such places in the Endless Sea.

Because this is a product of taking advantage of perfect timing, geographical location, and human harmony.

Each one is extremely important, especially during this important time.

Almost every one of these islands is an essential lifeblood pump, and any problem can trigger a chain reaction.

”Well, let’s talk about other intel.” The middle-aged knight said helplessly.

Upon hearing this, the young priest waited for quite a while, seemingly having thought of something, and said, ”According to information from the port, the Compass Eye, which set off from the World Scar a few years ago, has arrived here.”

”Is it the Son of the Holy Mother?” The middle-aged knight couldn’t help but ask.

Upon hearing this, the young knight looked at him, ”Don’t use such doubtful terms; the Holy Mother has not acknowledged it. You should refer to him as Treasure Craftsman, not as the Son of the Holy Mother.”

Upon hearing this, the middle-aged knight finally managed to shed some of his helplessness and annoyance. He shrugged, showing a bit of unruly charm.

”What does it matter? Who in the church doesn’t know that this young man named Alka is essentially the Son of the Holy Mother?”

Upon hearing this, the young priest wanted to retort something, but couldn’t find a good reason, so he could only tell him to shut up and talk less.

Mainly, the church’s internal personnel knew more and often obtained some information about Alka from bishops and archbishops.

Coupled with some of Alka’s experiences on his way here, many internal personnel, like those outside who didn’t know the details, believed Alka was the Son of the Holy Mother.

The main issue is that the Holy Mother hasn’t refuted it, but hasn’t confirmed it either.

”But I remember he left the World Scar only a few years ago, and has arrived here so quickly?” The middle-aged knight asked with some surprise.

Going through official channels all the way here, the distance isn’t short. Moreover, he knows Alka and his companions didn’t come directly, but went to various places, almost circling around.

Circling around and traveling directly don’t have the same distance.

Circling could be several times longer than traveling directly.

”After leaving the World Scar, their ship should have gone through upgrades for faster speed.

I happened to see many people paying attention to Alka’s ship information when I went to Seed of Life before. The people of Seed of Life seem to care much.”
